Birthday Celebration - Shell Out Seafood Restaurant

Wow..this place dah open few years back, tapi suddenly lately ni boom pulak..hehehe..so where there is a crowd, I will come..
Basically restaurant seafood serving it Cajun style..ala-ala Amerika la...
Cara serving simple..campak atas meja, makan pakai tangan..
Meja of course ada lapik la..ada kertas kalis minyak on every table..

Ordering style simple, pilih seafood apa nak - crabs, lala, crawfish, udang..etc
then style masakan - ada 4 to choose from , we tried Shell Bang & Lemon Pepper with different spiciness level.
 Pastu pilih la kalau nak letak Add Ons- broccolli, corn, potato or sausages.

Its our birthday - 7 September..both on the same date.

Basically food here to me is much tastier-ada rasa rempah2 skit, tapi kurang sikit pedas kalau nak compare dengan kat Crab Factory (my earlier entry). So depends on citarasa masing-masing.
Price wise, our damage here around RM450 camtu..for 6 adults & 2 kids..hmm ok-ok la..seafood kan, what do you expect..so it depends on what u order, kalau king crab sorang seekor lagi la mencanak harga kan..Sendiri mau ingat la..:P

On a side note, as a foodie, tempat yang crowded macam ni , always, always,always make a reservation. Service is fast, tapi makan seafood bukannya cepat mcm mkn nasi..so expect to wait for more than 1 hour la kalau u walk in, especially on weekends.
Kitorang ni pun booking 2 weeks in advance tau.

Simply Delicious - Char Koay Teow

Tengok kat insta Serina dia dok promote kedai ni..rupa-rupanya this is her Restaurant in collaboration with Sari Yanti. Hmmm...anak Chef Wan punya kan..harus la nak try..sedap ke tidak...

Location senang je..kat The Strand, Kota Damansara. Right next to Ariani. The restaurant is in bright pink so you can't miss it.

From the menu, takde la jual char koay teow semata..ada jugak food lain..but I'm here for the char koay teow...
Hmmm..from the price..it's a tad expensive compared to other char koay teow joints ie Malee, Aimar..
Okay..so how was the food..

To me it's just okay je..maybe give it a 3 star out of 5, cause i've tasted better especially ones from Penang. :)

So, kalau jauh2 semata nak makan sini, maybe tak yah la kot..but if you're around the area can give it a try..
Few complaints though, ordering system - 
Menu memang dah ada atas meja, once you decided what to eat, kena pulak pegi kat cashier to order and pay..hmmm..ni yang membuat kan lambat sikit..dah kena beratur bayar pulak..lepas tu, cashier tu boley pulak tulis satu2 order kita..ni yang buat lambat lagi..
Maybe they're new, but they should improve!!! Kalau nak rekod sangat pun apa yang jual hari tu, tulis la siap2 kat buku tu, pastu tulis kuantiti je..kan cepat.

Next, seat dia..hmm dari jauh memang nampak comel..pasal kerusi tu boleh masuk cantik je bawah meja..masalahnya..comfort kerusi tu memang out..ni memang fail..tak try out dulu ke kerusi sebelum beli..sebab tempat sandar kerusi tu rendah..so bila sandar dah terasa tulang kerusi tu..A Very very big NO NO!!!

Crowd agak ramai, maybe semua 1st timer kot.

Sekajap je rasa dah puasa balik..pejam celik dah Ramadan.. As usual time ni kena la ada buka puasa dengan manjer2..
This time around kat Kota Damansara, Restoran Makanan Sedap...dengar nama pun mesti dah tau kan..food dia mesti sedappp!!! Nak tau lagi kena la baca the whole entry kay..
Location kedai ni senang je..kat Seksyen 5, betul2 belakang Gulam Mee..

Before citer pasal food, kita citer pasal restoran dia dulu la.. kedai ni dua lot and 2 tingkat..so space is not an issue here..tingkat bawah, satu lot tempat buffet spread (kalau bukan ramadan tempat dining jugak la), satu lagi dining area..
Kat atas pulak, ada dining area lagi- indoor & outdoor and surau. So all in all memang spacious, comfortable and cozy.
Kat first floor ni kalau nak buat event like birthdays, baby showers, family gatherings ke...sangatlah sesuai..boleh convert jadi private area..so tak kacau guests yang lain.. Kos boleh la bincang dengan Manager dia..and the food they can specially tailored according to our tastes and occasion.

Now, the best part, let's talk about the FOOD...

Ramadan Buffet is offered at RM35 nett (adults), RM17.50 nett (kids) & RM 24.50 nett (senior citizens).. They also have special family package whereby 2 adults & 2 kids is only RM100nett.
Affordable kan, buffet skang ni nak carik yg RM30-40 susah dah..semua barang dah naik..

Food choices diorang ada 7 set semuanya, so rotate setiap hari, kalau datang 2 hari berturut-turut takkan dapat menu yang sama... :) . kalau minggu yang lain call dulu tanya menu.
Memang puas hati dengan spread dia, memang berbaloi dengan harga, western, masakan kampung,ikan bakar, roast beef, kuih tradisional.. Kitorang sampai tak tercuba semua pun, a little bit of hear and there..
