Good morning!
I know I've said it before but I am SO happy that Whimsy Stamps has picked up the adorable characters by Marina Fedotova. I was super sad when Sugar Nellie closed shop because I didn't think I would ever find her sweet stamps any more. But here we are and I am beyond excited to be playing with this fabulous Fairy Gifts For You. Sure, she would work great for a Christmas card but I wanted to color her up for a fun birthday card full of spring time colors. I found this great scrap of paper in my stash and proceeded to match my Copic colors to it. I even found inks for my sentiment and various sequins that matched as well. What can I say, I was feeling very matchy-matchy, LOL! And I'm going to go ahead an pop this into the current "anything goes" challenge over on the Whimsy Challenge Blog.
Alrighty, off to work I go but it is my Friday so yeah! :)

Friends forever...
TGIF!
I'm wrapping up this week with a throw back to another card I made during March's Greeting Farm release. These tiny fairies from the Fairy Happy set are so much fun and they have quickly flown to the top of my favorite stamps list. For this clean and simple card I actually 'lifted' myself with a Christmas card I made last November. When you've got small character stamps like this it is fun to do some masking and line them all up in a row. The way they start interacting with each other as you pull up the masking paper is awesome to watch come to life. I found this pretty floral paper in the Imagine That Girl 6x6 pad and pulled my Copic colors to match. Also by cutting it with a stitched hills die and turning it on its side I like how it looks like a large curtain being pulled back to reveal all these cuties.
Alrighty crafty friends, have a wonderful weekend!

Wish Big...
Olo!
I was in need of a quick birthday card recently and this adorable Birthday Girl Pure Innocence from My Favorite Things seemed to hop right on my paper. The color scheme for this was inspired by a card from a store and it really pushed my Copic blending skills to get that pretty raw silk looking gold dress. I imagine her at a very upscale 5th Avenue type party, LOL! I also added some extra hair on her by extending her pigtails and flicking in some long bangs, it's such an easy way to change things up just a bit with these PI girlies. In the end I feel like I got the elegant but cute look that I was going for. :)
Thanks for stopping by today!

Hooray, it's your day...
Hello, hello!
Today I'm back on the Greeting Farm blog with a cheerful and high energy birthday card. The stamps aren't birthday stamps though, instead I re-purposed the fun girls from the Hallelujah Bible Journaling set. I just think their looks of pure joy and celebration work wonderfully for birthdays too! As a stamper and admitted stamp collector, it is always so great when you can come up with multiple uses for the stamps in your stash, don'tcha think? I paired them up with paper and goodies from the new Doodlebug Hello collection and surprise, surprise, pulled all of my Copic colors to match. I love that the paper looks like confetti falling and the touches of gold add definite sparkle and shine to this card. :)
Now it is your turn to look at your stamps with new eyes and see what transformations you can make!
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Catherine Pooler

Good morning!
Today I've got a card for the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook page and if you caught my live coloring video last Tuesday then you will recognize this scene. I had put up a vote between three stamps to color and this cute little Lumberjack Guy from CC Designs was the winning vote getter. I had a lot of fun coloring him up, despite the occasional technical difficulties. Once he was done, I went ahead and added the mountain forest scene behind him. Hopefully it shared my process and takes some of the scariness out of trying scene coloring for those who want to try but are intimidated by it all. :)
Well, we just started the new "glitter/shimmer" challenge and as always there is a $20 gift certificate to the 7 Kids store up for grabs!
Toodles!

Just because...
Good morning!
I'm so happy to be getting another one of the SOG digis, that I've had colored up since their last 12 Days of Coloring challenge, onto a card. This adorable Spunky Sprite has been so patient and when I saw that the April Community Challenge was "April Showers Bring May Flowers" I knew she would be perfect. Since I already had her colored up in blues and greens with just a touch of yellow I had to find some papers to go with her. This isn't my usual process as I try to pull papers before I start coloring to make sure everything matches. Luckily for me I found this old Sassafras 6x6 paper pad that not only had my color scheme but it was also a beautiful floral print perfect for the challenge. I also decided to color in a large yellow flower for Spunky Sprite to rest on and help ground the whole design. I just love, love, love how this all came together!
Alrighty, gotta run! Laters!

Birthdays look good...
Hello my crafty friends!
Once again I am posting on a Saturday this month because it is time for a new challenge over on the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook page and it is "glitter". It has been ages since I pulled out my small stash of loose glitter so the challenge for me almost became just finding it in my messy craft room, LOL! Once I had it at hand it was time to decide just who would be the star of this sparkly card. The decision wasn't too hard once I spotted this pretty gal sitting on my desk. She is from the Deep Red City Girls Summer Vacation set but I saw her all dolled up for a night on the town celebrating. So I colored her into a little black dress that sparkles and shines then masked her off and added some Distress Oxide peacock feathers ink behind her. The black and white stripe is washi tape that I then added black glitter to the black stripes. Then I threw on some sequins for good measure. It's too bad the photo didn't capture just how sparkly this card is in person, but I promise that the glitz is there! ;)
Ok, now it's your turn to create something for our "glitter" themed challenge. As always there is a $20 gift certificate to the 7 Kids store up for grabs and Kelly has added awesome new goodies recently so check it out!

Dang...
Hello again!
Yesterday I shared my card using the refined Taurus zodiac girl as is. Today I am sharing a different version of the stamp which I achieved by simply wiping the ink away from her horns before stamping and drawing the top of her head back in with a black Copic multi liner pen. This simple alteration easily transforms Taurus into a more generic but still down to earth Uptown Girl. With those wide leg pants that she is sporting I was getting a very 70s type of vibe from her. So I colored them in a nice denim and gave her shirt a pretty floral print in some mustard yellow and grey hues. I found the perfect paper scraps to match and when I came across this sentiment I knew I had to use it. Not only is the font kinda 70s-ish looking but the message totally suited her hand on hips attitude. I really, really love how this card came together!
And in case you haven't noticed, there is a 20% off sale going on now through Sunday over at 7 Kids, you just have to type in April Showers at checkout. :)
Toodles!
Supply list:

Make a wish...
Hey there!
So I'm continuing on with my personal challenge to create birthday cards for each of the Stamping Bella Zodiac Girls. Next up is Taurus and I had the perfect inspiration for her because my little sister, Jacque, is celebrating her birthday soon and she is the most Taurus like Taurus that I have ever met, LOL! She is stubborn and headstrong, sensitive and sweet. She can drive me crazy but I love her dearly. Taurus' signature color is mauve, the soft color of refinement and gentleness so I really ran with that monochromatic color scheme for this card. Again, the sentiment is a mix of stamps with the top being from the Papertrey Ink Stargazer sets and the Taurus description comes with Miss Taurus herself. Be sure to check back tomorrow when I share a card that I've made with an altered version of Taurus. I love the versatility of these stamps when you apply just a few small tweaks transforming them into everyday gals. :)
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
stamps- Stamping Bella (Uptown Zodiac Girl Taurus), Papertrey Ink (star gazer and star gazer additions)
ink- Memento tuxedo black and Hero Arts ombre
Sakura stardust glitter pen
My Favorite Things A2 stitched rectangle stax set 1
My Favorite Things diagonal line stencil
Kaiser Craft gems
Copic markers:

horns- E81, E84
clothes- R81, R83, R85, R56, RV99, E71, E74, E79, C1, C3, C5

Party like a rockstar...
Olo!
Considering I made this card for the March TGF release I figured it was high time to share these fun rocker girls here on the ol' blog. When I first got my hands on Rockstar Anya 2 I knew that I wanted to pull the original Rockstar Anya out of my stamp stash and create a rockin' duo that would bring the house down with their epic awesomeness. I masked Rockstar 2 a bit so they could both fit comfortably on the stage and then got to coloring. I actually gave my fluorescent Copics quite the work out with these two so perhaps they were big in the 80s, LOL! I also wanted to create a spotlight effect behind them so I pulled out the Sun Ray stencil from Whimsy and used both black and yellow ink with it. I kinda wish I had reversed the ink placement so the narrower lines were the light but live and learn. All in all I had a lot of fun putting this one together. :)
Later gators!

May you find peace this day...
Hello, hello!
I've got a lovely little card to share today featuring this awesome digi stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil called, Thinking of You. Being a huge animal lover, who spends most days taking care of dogs big and small, this image completely tugs at my heart strings. As soon as I saw this sweet pair of pals I knew that I needed to color them up into a special scene. Because of the light sun dress she is wearing I figured it would be somewhere warm and breezy, making the beach a total no brainer. So I set to work coloring in crashing waves and a rosy sunset for these two to call home. It really came together just how I envisioned it, which doesn't always happen so I am a happy crafter. :)
Well I should get going, I have a live coloring video to get ready for later this morning over at the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook page. Pop by and say 'hi' if you can!

Fabulous...
Good morning!
I recently got my hands on the super cute Down on the Farm papers by Doodlebug and I knew just the gal to pair with them. This darling Rockabilly Gal from CC Designs has been waiting for her chance to get on a card and now was the perfect time. Her fun and flirty, down home look is ready to rock the farm in a big way. So I colored her up to match the bright colors and fussy cut her out. Then there wasn't much else to do but glue her on because the paper did all the work of setting the scene for me. Ya gotta love that, especially when your crafting time is limited. ;)
Alrighty, well thanks for stopping by. I'll see ya in 24!

THE GREETING FARM BLOG
You must leave a comment on each Designer's Blog to be eligible for the prize drawing. It's a short hop so it's definitely worth playing along! And if you can't wait for the hop to be over, you can purchase these stamps along with their coordinating dies HERE.Don't forget, we also released our new Faith stamp called PRECIOUS today (instead of waiting until the end of the month)! This stamp set is not part of the Blog Hop prize, but it is available for purchase in The Greeting Farm Store along with the rest of the new release.
So because my first card using the Save the Day set featured the knight and his dragon buddy I thought it would be fun to focus on this pretty maiden and her castle for the hop today. I did a lot of masking with the trees to help push the castle into the distance, then I just colored in some rolling hills to help set the scene. By adding the wand to her hand she kinda gives off a fairy godmother vibe to me, thus the sentiment choice. ;)
Alrighty, well thanks for joining us and enjoy the hop!

Make a Splash...
TGIF my friends!
Well here we are at the third and final day of April previews for The Greeting Farm and we've got a great new set called Make a Splash that is perfect for the coming summer months. The set comes with two little mermaids and two mermen, a castle and treasure chest, as well as this dolphin, some fish and seaweed... everything you need to create a variety of under the sea scenes. For my first card I wanted to pair a couple of the mers with the dolphin and create an energetic scene of them leaping in and out of the water. All I had to do was wipe the ink away from the bottom half of the merman and dolphin leaping out and the top half of the dolphin diving back in. Then I colored the water up around them, leaving some white showing to create the splashing and illusion of motion. Once the scene was all colored I also added some white ink with my finger tip to bump up the foamy look. It was a fun challenge to tackle and I really love how it turned out. :)
Alrighty, you know what to do... head on over to the TGF blog for even more Make a Splash cuteness from the Farmers. And don't forget that the entire release will be available for purchase on the 15th! :)

Life is a Carnival...
Hello, hello!
Are you ready for day 2 of the April Greeting Farm release previews? Today we have a small clear set to share featuring four happy little monkeys called Sing It. As soon as I saw these cuties visions of a three ring circus crossed my mind. That is when I remembered that I had this long retired Showtime Anya in my stamp collection, talk about a fun mash up! With a bit of masking I had my dazzling ring master surrounded by her monkey troop ready to get on with the show. I can smell the popcorn and peanuts now. ;)
There is plenty more Sing It inspiration to be had over on the TGF blog and I promise you won't want to miss the fabulous creations my fellow Farmers have made. :)

Be noble, brave, valiant and true...
Hello there!
Today is day 1 of the April stamp release from The Greeting Farm! We have three fantastic clear stamp sets coming out this month and they are all quite magical! Just take a look at the new Save The Day set that will be available for purchase on the 15th... so many fun, fairy tale possibilities to be created. The set includes, two princesses, a prince, this knight and dragon as well as a castle, trees, flowers and a couple sentiments. For my first card I really wanted to pair up the knight and dragon. In my mind this little knight may be feeling a tad over dressed considering how sweet and friendly this particular dragon seems to be. I had a lot of fun coloring their meeting at the mouth of a mountainous cave at sunset and the sentiment is something I typed up on the computer and printed right on the scene itself. Who knows where the story will go from here... ;)
Now be sure to head on over to the TGF blog to see all of the fairy tale inspired cards from my fellow Farmers using the new Save The Day set and I shall see you back here tomorrow with more sneak peek fun! Supply list:

Mornin' folks!
I am running out the door this morning so it will be one of those drive by postings. This lovely little gal is from Mo's Digital Pencil and she is called Spring For Sale. After a week of rainy weather we are finally seeing real signs of spring around here like tulips and daffodils blooming and bobbing in the breeze so this gal was really calling me to get on a card. I sketched in a simple pastoral scene for her to live in and really wish that I could join her, LOL!
Alrighty, I really gotta go. See ya tomorrow with TGF April release previews!

You set my heart on fire...
Good morning!
Today I've got a card for the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook page and I have to admit that this one kind of snuck up on me. I think having a challenge post just two days ago had me convinced that there was more time before my next design team post. So imagine my surprise yesterday afternoon when I realized that I needed to get something made! I quickly flipped through my most recent 7 Kids purchase and found the adorable Dragon Wishes set from Mama Elephant, phew... what a relief. Not only are these baby dragons super cute but they were also super quick to color. After that was done I masked them off as well as the strip of space in the middle of the card so that I could play with my Distress Inks. Jammie had me all inspired after her live Facebook video yesterday but I completely botched the look I was going for. It started out with yellow and blues but I wasn't loving it so I kept adding more and more colors until this is what I got. It isn't horrible but it isn't what I had envisioned either, To be honest if I had had more time I would have scratched this and had a second go at it but it is what it is. :)
Ok then, we just started the newest "anything goes" challenge and as always there is a $20 gift certificate to the 7 Kids store up for grabs!
Toodles!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Catherine Pooler
stamps- Mama Elephant (Dragon Wishes), My Favorite Things (mirror stamp)
ink- Memento london fog, Tim Holtz Distress Oxide squeezed lemonade, salty ocean, peacock feathers, broken china, seedless preserves
My Favorite Things stitched mod rectangle die
Wink of Stella clear glitter pen
Doodlebug Sprinkles tiny hearts
Copic markers:
flaying dragon- C0, C1, C2, BV000, V01, V15, E81
standing dragon- C0, C1, C2, B000, B41, B45, E81

You're beautiful...
Happy Sunday to ya!
The Greeting Farm has a surprise digi release today and she is a brand new Cheeky! I adore the Cheeky collection and Cheeky Darling is a beautiful addition to the TGF family. She's got a great 40's vibe going on with that kerchief and Victory Roll hair-do that I'm totally drawn to... if only I could be as stylish. I found this great floral print from October Afternoon in my scrap bag and it shared that 40's aesthetic with Cheeky Darling so I knew it would be perfect to pull all my colors from. And I embellished the card with a little crochet flower that my sister, Jacque, made for me. She can do things with yarn that leaves me in awe so when I got a whole container full of crochet flowers this past Christmas I was a very happy girl. :)
Well, thanks for stopping by this weekend. I will see you again in 24!
