Well here we are at the final Wild Sprout sneak peek for this first TGF release of 2010... pretty exciting, huh? :)
And this little sweetheart comes to the Farm just in time for Valentine's Day, which just so happens to be her favorite day of the year. If you weren't here in September let me introduce you to Stella. Stella has a big heart filled with love and she totally wears it on her sleeve. And she's also a fellow card maker as only her handmade creations can truly convey her feelings to those she cares about. ;)

Well hello, hello!

Yep I'm posting a bit early today so that it coincides with the first sneak peek reveal of the January release over at Club Anya.
This release marks the first time the new Club Anya & Friends has been invaded by Anya's rowdy Wild Sprouts pals and if you were checking out my blog this past September you may just recall having seen them before. Remember Chelsea? This little gal has big dreams of becoming the ultimate entertainer and I'm SO excited that she is the first of four Sprout designs that Marie wanted to turn into rubber! Chelsea is more than ready to dance her way right off the stage and into your heart so to celebrate you just know there has to be candy! :)

Hello, hello everybody... hope all is well for you this fine Sunday morning. :)
Things are pretty great in my little corner of the world and I'm excited to get this last week of 2009 underway because this crazy blog o' mine is gonna be chalk full o' candy, candy, candy in celebration of a few new stamp releases... yeah!

Starting things off is my one and only Fairy Sweet release for January... meet Chanter Heartsong. She will be available at All That Scraps beginning on Monday the 4th in both rubber and digi. Chanter is a dreamy little fairy who likes nothing more than to play secret match-maker with her special love dust. One sprinkle of that powder and an unsuspecting human will fall madly in love with the first person they see. ;)
And of course we need some sweet Chanter Heartsong candy... it's like the requisite heart shaped box of chocolates on Valentine's Day, don't ya think? So you probably want to see what's up for grabs this time... well let's take a look-see...

Winding down

Hello and good morning my friends!
Well the big day has come and gone and I hope Santa was good to you this year. :)
I had a lovely day yesterday filled with good food and great company... it doesn't get much better than that... though I was gifted with some extra moola that's already burning a hole in my pocket. Good thing new stamps are being released later this week so I can put it to good use... ;)

Can I just say that it felt both a little weird but totally great to finally be breaking away from all the Christmas cards I've been making lately? My world has expanded to include all the wonderful colors I've been missing, so right off the bat I knew I wanted to take advantage of the Sugar Bowl challenge that includes using your favorite color along with their sketch.
I love orange. It has been my favorite color for quite a few years now. It is such a happy color don't you think? And it felt great to jump in and play with it's sunny warmth... especially since it is SO cold here! If it's possible for paper to warm you up on a cold day this new Basic Grey certainly did the trick. ;)
And I left little Goth Gorjuss Girl pretty much as is, except for drawing in some sleeves on her dress... I love this stamp. All in all just a simple little card that puts a smile on my face :)

Well here we are, the big day is finally upon us... luckily for me I've got the next few days off to enjoy the holiday. Yeah! Still, I'm going to be busy visiting family and friends so it's another quick post from me today but how could I not share the friend I made for Vivi? ;)
Do you recognize who's face I used to make my little boy elf? It's Edward! Isn't he perfect?! And all I did was stamp Vivi then cut out her face and a space on the brim of the hat so his hair would show when I placed his colored up face behind it... kinda like those painted wood scenes they have at amusement parks and you stick your face in the holes to get a photo of you as a monkey or something. :)
And you may have noticed Vivi herself is looking a bit different too... well I took a cue from Traci and added some longer locks to Viv and I also gave her the teddy from the Oh Baby set. Now Vivi and Eddie are both ready to pack the last toys on Santa's sleigh before his big ride tonight. Then I imagine they will be off to someplace warm and sunny for some well earned R&R before it's time to head back to the ol' workshop. LOL
Oh and I also used the TGF sketch #6 for this card... hope you all are finding time to play along!

Good morning friends! It may be the most wonderful time of the year but man-oh-man does it have to be the busiest time of year too? I'm still on the run so I have a quick post for a super quick card today.

But first, I just had to share the fun socks that sweet Kris sent me for Christmas, along with an amazing card and other fun goodies. She was concerned about my feet getting cold in my chilly craft room and that just cracked me up... thanks again Kris, I love them! :)

And as for my card... well, you are looking at a 20 minute card right here. The card base is a pre-printed one from Making Memories that even had the punched holes along the border already. All I did was some quick stamping right on it, colored in the bird and wove the ribbon up the border. I've used a gold Copic Spica pen on the bird and as always I just can't get the shimmer to show up well in the photo but in real life it really helps dress up this simple card.

Hello and happy Tuesday! Is everyone still hangin' in there with all the holiday hoopla? I'm working today so it's still the daily grind for me. But before I head off I just had to share my card that is a special tribute to my number one most favorite show... Glee! LOL!
I did a bit of altering to the TGF Twi digis to create Mercedes, Rachel and Quinn as if I had gotten my wish to see them do a Christmas episode. ;) I thought about adding Kurt, Finn and Shue but it would have been a TON of altering to make that happen... so it's just the girls for now... unless I can convince Marie that we are in desperate need of some "Glee" Sprouts now that the Twi Sprouts have all been done... hint, hint, hint! (batting eyelashes prettily with my best puppy dog pleading eyes)

Happy Monday friends. This is a big week and I hope it is starting off well for everyone. :)
I'm on the run again but I do have time to share this card I made and guess what? I broke my record and got THREE challenges done with this one... yeah! I used the TGF sketch #3 from their 12 days of sketches challenge, the color scheme comes from this week's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge and because it's a Christmas card (no surprise there) it also works for this week's Anyone for Anya challenge... whew! :)

So you could probably tell I did a bit of altering on this one too. I used the little Anya head from the Spa set (the one in the bathtub) and had to wipe a bit of the bubbles away from her cheek and re-draw her jaw line but still a pretty simple repair. Then I combined it with little Alice Anya's body from the Signature set. Once I had her body all together I gave her some presents from the free Birthday Ian digi that I shrunk down to the same small size as the mini Anya. Add another mini Ian and some more presents and voila... instant Christmas morning happiness. :)
Can I just say that I am still really diggin' these mini Anyas and hope that we see more (including Ians) from TGF in the future... hint, hint, hint! ;) I'm so subtle... LOL!

Mmmmmm... hello friends. Yep, I'm late posting this but I needed a good sleep in and take it easy kind of morning. Especially when you just know this whole next week is going to be a mad flurry of work, busy-ness and activity... what with Christmas being only FIVE days away now! Craziness!
So like I said, today I'm takin' it easy... hopefully I'll get a chance to watch Christmas Vacation since it is a family favorite and it just can't be Christmas 'til I've laughed my way through it once again. :)

Don'tcha just think these little cuties are perfectly named? Something about their quiet sweetness reminds me of my mom so I just had to get a few and I made this card for her. :)

Good Saturday morning to you! I hope all is well with everyone out there in blog land. :)
I know I keep saying it lately, I think it must be the time of year because I need to post and run again as I've got to go to work today. Hopefully things will get back to normal after next week.

So today I have another altered Anya... this time I took Flapper Anya and wiped away the feather and hair lines from the top of her head so that it could become a stylish knit cap. Then I cut off her head and used it with Dress Up Anya's body and pants though I did use Dress Up Ian's coat so she wouldn't get cold out in the winter snow. ;)
Now Anya is ready to stroll through the neighborhood taking in all the fantastic lights and decorations... hopefully she doesn't give in to temptation and sabotage the Jones' light display, making it impossible for them to take the "Best House" prize five years running LOL!

Be good... you know Santa is watching!

Ahhh Friday... oh how I look forward to this day all week long. It's my day off and I've got big plans so I'm just going to dive right into today's post. :)

I'm still on a roll with the whole combining challenges thing, even if I haven't broken my record of two... LOL, it's all good though. So my card combines this week's Diedrich Dare sketch challenge and this week's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge. I loved the whole pink, aqua and brown color combo plus I just couldn't resist the chance to pull out these cutie snowmen stamps that have been a favorite of mine for a couple years now. Something about the sketchy way they are drawn totally reminds me of the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes (which I'm still totally bummed over its not being written anymore...sigh). But I digress... back to the card, when I saw Jack's sketch I immediately saw a whole stamped bottom panel rather than my usual cut-out image and it was fun to create an entire scene.
The end result is pretty clean and simple looking but I really dig it. ;)

Hello, hello fellow stamparistas!
T minus eight days and counting until Christmas, are you ready for it?
As you can see I'm still in the Christmas spirit when it comes my cards and I just couldn't resist inking up one of my new Moonlight Whispers stamps from Kraftin' Kimmies. I love the cute, yet kinda twisted Tim Burton-ish look of these little gals... it appeals to the snarky side of my personality, LOL!
So I chose Lillith to see if I could make her work for a Christmas card and I did a touch of altering by wiping away the frog from off the top of her head and drawing in her missing hair. Then I was also going to change her eyebrows a bit to give her a 'friendlier' look but her challenging little smirk spoke to me and thus the mistletoe and sentiment idea came to life. I love it when a stamp 'talks' to me and tells me what she wants to do. ;)
After that the whole card came together super quick and I added lots of sparkle to her dress and the polka dots so that I could enter this into both the Kraftin' Kimmie challenge and the All That Scraps challenge (I know, I know... by doing two it disqualifies me from the ATS challenge but I'm cool with it). :)

What, no Christmas song?

Good morning friends!
No Christmas card from me today... I know, I know, I can't believe it either. But I just had to share the card I made for the TGF newsletter digi fairy contest. Last month they issued a challenge to send in a card using one of the fairies for a chance to win a fifth exclusive digi fairy and apparently I was the only one who sent in a card for it. Shock! But if you've read yesterday's newsletter, there's still a shot at getting your hands on Vanity Fairy so start sending in those fairy cards to Jess asap!

I used Winter Fairy and Spring Fairy (though I did flip Spring so that she was facing the direction I wanted) and colored them both to match the funky Basic Grey papers. Winter is on the front flap of the card that I cut short so that Spring on the inside could be seen with her BFF. :)
Oh and I thought it would be fun to note how I did the dangling beads over on the upper left corner... so when I machine stitched the border strip I purposefully left two long threads at the end of the paper when cutting it from the machine. Then it was simply stringing beads and tying knots until I had it the way I wanted it and the movement is a lot of fun in real life.
And as an added bonus I'm going to enter this into the Anyone for Anya bling challenge this week... gotta love it when things work out like that! :)

Simply having a wonderful Christmas time

Good morning!
I think I'm suffering from hop hangover... LOL!
I apologize in advance because this post is gonna be super quick, I stayed up way too late blog hoppin' and now I have to get ready for work plus drive to work through the six or more inches of snow we got last night... bleh
So my card today is actually the other idea that I had for the hop if I hadn't have gone with the nutcracker one... I altered the brand new Yoga Anya into a Christmas elf. I wiped away the top of her head and added the hat, wiped away her closed eyes and replaced them with Lolli Anya's smilie eyes, then it was just drawing in extra lines for her long sleeves and boots on her feet. I thought her new eyes with the little mouth made her look like she was munching on something yummy and that's when the rest of the card theme and design came to me. Plus the new October Afternoon Very Merry paper didn't hurt either... aren't those gingerbread just the cutest?! :)

Ok, so I had a couple different ideas for my holiday hop card today and in the end I didn't even use a single "Christmas" TGF stamp at all... gasp!
I had the idea to create a Nutcracker themed card and right away knew that Ballet Anya would make a perfect Clara with just a few alterations to her dress. At first finding the perfect Ian to alter into the Nutcracker prince was a bit of a head scratcher but as soon as I came across Rescue Ian I knew I had a winner. All I did was wipe away his helmet and the stripes from his outfit then drew in his new costume and I love how he turned out. Now he looks ready to battle that mean ol' Mouse King! :)

Sweet Sunday morning to you, I hope it's not too hectic with the hustle and bustle of pre-holiday prep. I'm 99% sure that I've got all my Christmas shopping and what not done now... woot woot! I do still have the baking to do but other than that I'm feeling pretty good. Even the report for more snow later today isn't getting me down... I think I may be in the thrall of that good ol' Christmas spirit. ;)

So is it really a surprise that I've got yet another Christmas card to share today? I didn't think so... LOL.

The first time I saw one of these cutie Whiff of Joy, Uru and Wee images was this amazing card on Donna's blog and I thought it was one of the sweetest things ever. So when All That Scraps got some of them in stock I just had to get one to play with. Now it's not Uru and Bird like Donna used (and which I'm sure I'll get eventually) but I thought Wee and Tree was just as cute. There's just something about those giant feet and cone heads that I find utterly adorable. :)
The whole card came together pretty quickly considering I once again raided my stash and found an old My Mind's Eye frame-up that makes it look like I cross stitched a little berry border without all that work, gotta love it!
And even though it's a bit of a stretch I'm entering it into this week's Quixotic challenge to use stars... there is that one little star on top of the tree... ;)

Well I think that's all I've got for today... oh and just an FYI I won't be posting at my regular early time tomorrow since we have the BIG holiday Club Anya blog hop starting at 5 pm my time and I will have a new post then.
