IU to soon have a starring role in a drama?

It appears IU will soon be starring in a drama once again.

IU has given up attending college next year, and will instead be focusing on a new album in both Korea and Japan.

Beyond the music and because the singer had gained much love from her role as Pil Suk in KBS‘s ’Dream High‘, IU’s label has revealed that her fans should be able to see her on the small screen once again next year.

Her active effort to act has awarded her with many love calls for various roles. IU’s representative said, “She’s receiving starring role proposals from many different dramas. We’re looking over all of them optimistically. Soon we’re going to choose a project and she’ll begin acting once again.”

IU’s full PV for Japanese “You & I” released

Korean solo artist, IU, is set to release her second Japanese single, “You & I”.

Although the single won’t be out until July 18th, fans can get a taste of the song before its official release through the full PV, which has been aired recently.

IU releases music video film for “Every End of the Day”

After releasing her single ‘Spring of a Twenty Year Old‘ earlier today, IU has just unveiled the music video film for her title track, “Every End of the Day”!

The short documentary style music video film is over 26 minutes long and contains “a slightly private story for the fans”, featuring interview clips as well as footage of IU on her overseas trip.

IU performs ‘Good Day’ on Music Japan

On March 21st, IU released her Japanese debut single album, ‘Good Day.’ After one day of release, the album ranked sixth on the singles chart, and it seems it will continue to climb the chart. People in Japan were already interested in IU’s debut even before she had made her way over to Japan as she had already established herself as the number one solo artist in Korea.

On April 8th, IU made an guest appearance on NHK‘s music program, ‘Music Japan‘ to perform the Japanese verion of her hit song, “Good Day”. This broadcast featured a great mix of today’s popular artists in addition to IU including: Perfume, Morning Musume, Fairies, and Sexy Zone.
