Hey Everyone! I hope you're enjoying your Sunday. I've been busy reorganizing my studio. I've organized my ribbon and buttons and added a wall mounted cabinet above my counter top workstation. I'm really excited about it and have yet to fill it up because I had to make this card! I know, really funny! Anyway, I'm really thankful for the studio space that I have and for McArthur for helping me organize my space and building the furniture and installing it! He was a real IKEA trooper yesterday and I appreciate that! I now have a full space and he's moved up to my old studio to have his own 'private' office! I'm going to miss him on the computer with me, but having an extra work table is also exciting. So, my day yesterday inspired the creation of this card to give thanks for my life. Here's a detailed photograph showcasing the felt leaf die cut that I stitched to create the veins. Instructions- Trim cream cardstock to 4" x 5.25" and stamp leaves and text background.
- Adhere vintage trim, felt border, and green twill tape ribbon.
- Die cut label, ink the edges, and adhere to cardstock with foam adhesive.
- Die cut leaf from felt, ad stitching, then adhere to label with foam adhesive.
- Stamp sentiment on cardstock strip and adhere with foam adhesive.
- Ink the edges of the cardstock and adhere to an A2 card base, then ink those edges as well.

Hey Everyone! I hope you have enjoyed your weekend so far! I have another project to share with you featuring some new My Time Made Easy products. The stamps are by Catherine Doucette and the template is by Lauren Meader. I also used some digital paper (polka dots) by Kristin. This was such a fun project. I completed it while I was in North Carolina on a friend's dining room table with limited supplies. So, there's no excuse that you need a huge craft room to create a project - there's always enough space and just enough supplies, even when they're limited. I filled my teacup with my stash of buttons I brought! Here are the projects and how I made them! I created a card and teacup using Catherine's stamps, Lauren's template, and Kristin's digital patterned paper. To get that cool color on my patterned paper, I opened the .jpg file in Photoshop, clicked on the paint bucket tool, selected the color, and clicked on the background to dump the aqua color. The digital paper is so easy to use and even tailor to your color specifications. I printed the paper on about 80 lb. cardstock with my Epson Stylus 1400 printer. Instructions- Alter color on digital patterned paper and print.
- Trim cardstock to create an A2 card base. I trimmed both sides with a zig zag edge (Craft Lite trimmer).
- Trim patterned paper, then add ribbon treatment and crocheted trim, and adhere to card front.
- Stamp cups on cardstock, cut out, then adhere to card front.
- Stamp sentiment.
- Add button with twine by wrapping the twine around the ribbon bow and through the button to secure it together.
I used the Grab A Cup template to create this fun coordinating gift. I filled my teacup with buttons - a perfect way to express gratitude for a crafty friend, right?! I printed the template on the digital patterned paper and the base of the template on white cardstock and assembled as directed. I added the crocheted trim and the handle. Super duper easy and fast project! Here is another view of the teacup filled with lots of buttons! While creating this at my friend's house, everyone was in awe that I made it so fast and that it was a teacup! I love introducing non-crafty folks to stuff I do. They were amazed! Here are the supplies I used: SuppliesStamps :: My Time Made Easy - Grab a Cup, Grab a Cup SentimentsInk :: Tsukineko - memento tuxedo black Cardstock :: Papertrey Ink - summer sunrise; Paper Source - white Digital Elements :: My Time Made Easy - Grab A Cup template, Coffee Beans digital patterned paper Embellishments :: Melissa Frances - crocheted trims; Papertrey Ink - summer sunrise twill tape, button; May Arts - twine Tools :: Craft Lite - decorative trimmer (zig zag) And for my secret - I packed my trimmer, but it only had the zig zag decorative edge blade. AAACK right? Well, I had my trusty scissors, used cardstock as my straight edge, cut, and embraced that zig zag edge trimmer! When faced with a dilemma, you create - try it! Thanks so much for visiting! Have a great Sunday and enjoy the little bit of weekend you have left! Take care.
Hey Everyone! I hope you enjoyed the photos I've been sharing! Secretly, it gave me a break, but I'm happy to get back creating too! Before I talk about this post, I wanted to share a quick story. Sometimes, I talk to McArthur about paper crafting stuff (believe it, or not)...and sometimes, he listens! He's really sweet about my paper crafting passion and extremely supportive. So, when Paper Crafts' Creative Editor, Cath, started the Moxie Fab World blog, I mentioned it to him. He was always intrigued by the blog title and wondered who was the author of this creative blog! Whenever I mention "Moxie Fab" to him, he always finishes it off by saying, "and you know it!" It was more of an inside joke, that is until he met Cath last week at CHA! We were talking to Cath and somehow I forgot to tell him she was THE author of Moxie Fab. In the midst of our conversation, the beans were spilled and he discovered that Cath is "Moxie Fab!" We then shared our story (as explained above) to Cath and had a good laugh. So, in honor of McArthur, "You're Moxie Fab...and you know it!" So, that leads me up to today's post. I am so happy to be a part of Moxie Fab World's At Home feature. If anything, I had to do it for Mac since he likes Moxie Fab so much! So, come join me in my home! Here is a photo I took of our sunroom. It's one of my favorite spots in the house. Read all about here on Cath's Moxie Fab World blog. Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great Friday Eve and take care!
Hey there! I'm so happy it's Thursday and this week is wrapping up soon. Last night, I created a card inspired by Waltzingmouse's Sketch Challenge. This card turned out so "beachy." Although that was not my intent, I'm glad I traveled down that creative road. I had a fun time turning the sketch and even my Labels Three die cut for a fun new perspective. The border stamp is so fun used with this die template! Speaking of die templates, have you all remembered to check out the Spellbinders Blog Frenzy? The sneak peeks have been amazing! Don't forget to keep check them out every day! Instructions- Trim blue patterned paper to about 4" x 5.25" and mat on another patterned paper piece.
- Trim three strips of red cardstock and adhere to the left side of patterned papers.
- Stamp label border and sentiment and die cut label.
- Add button with twine and pop off patterned paper.
- Adhere to kraft A2 card base.

BLEEPS! How have you been? I hope you all are doing well. I finally got a chance to make a quick card. Can you tell this one is a quickie?! I did do a bit of die cutting, so that took a few extra steps, but other than that it came together really easily. I've been dying to use some new products I've neglected, so I pulled some out here. Instructions- Trim patterned paper to about 4" x 5.25".
- Die cut circle on cream cardstock, then stamp decorative frame around die cut and cut out the frame.
- Die cut a larger circle, stamp sentiment, and pop decorative frame off of it.
- Add rhinestones and adhere to patterned paper.
- Trim two strips of patterned paper and adhere to polka dotted patterned paper.
- Adhere everything to an A2 yellow card base.

Hi Everyone! In case you didn't get the memo, it's FRIDAY! Today, I have a fast card to share with you and some food (below)! Instructions- Trim patterned paper to about 3.5" x 6.75", round bottom corners, then adhere to a 3.75" x 7" pure poppy card base. Round card base bottom corners too!
- Trim "typography" images from patterned paper and adhere to card front.
- Trim twill tape, fray ends, then staple to corners.
- Stamp sentiment, add distress ink, and adhere to card front.
Tips & Tricks- Tape Technique :: Tapes are becoming a new 'hot' trend in paper crafting. I remember seeing Making Memories tapes years ago and wondered, "What would I use that for?" Well, now we all know! Although I do own a few rolls of tapes, I thought it would be cool to share how to create your own "tapes!"
- Use twill tape to create a tape look. Here, I cut it like tape could appear and used staples to adhere it. You could also use ribbon to get this effect.
- Another option for tapes, could be to trim a thin strip of patterned paper, then tear the ends. Cool, right?
- Want some fabric tape? Trim fabric strips = fabric tape! You can run it through an adhesive runner or just use glue, such as Helmar liquid fabric adhesive!
- Want to customize your own fabric tape? On sticky-back canvas, stamp your own pattern and trim a strip and voila, your own custom fabric tape!

We made some jerk chicken with black beans and rice. We've made this plenty of times, but never together. Actually, the last time I made the black bean soup was about four years ago, right after we got married. Mac loves the jerk chicken. We discovered "Walkerswood Jerk Seasoning" during one of our travels to the Caribbean. Now, I can't recall the country we were in, but usually when I travel, one of the items I shop for are seasonings, hot sauces, and such! If we run out, I find them online and buy them! I found the jerk seasoning at our World Market, so I didn't have to order this one! But, they've closed our store, so I'll have to see if another World Market still exist or if they've closed them all? I still get the e-mails, so I'm unsure about this one. Does anyone know? Anyway, the black bean soup is a recipe from Bahama Breeze, a restaurant I used to visit quite frequently during my Raleigh, NC days in law school. I loved their black bean soup and was surprised that they posted their recipe right on their site ( here). So, usually I take short cuts, but this time I took a longer route. Instead of using canned black beans as suggested by the recipe, I cooked dry black beans in my slow cooker all day and night. When I got home from work, the beans were done! I picked right back up at the recipe after it says dump the beans in the pot! Dry beans are much better than canned beans, well anything canned is not as good as fresh, right? Anyway, I'm no health nut, I just like to cook and eat well! Now, I know black beans look yucky in the photo, but believe me, they were good! I'm going to freeze the rest because I'm sure I will not want them this weekend. Remember, I don't do well with leftovers! :) We also had a spinach side salad with our meal. I didn't put it on my plate (pictured above) because some foods just can't touch! My salad is one of them! So, it gets its own special plate/bowl usually! One more thing to note, Mac dumped some of his jerk chicken into his salad and said it was great! Just as an added thing to do with the leftovers or another dish altogether! We usually eat spinach salads because someone has an allergy in the house to lots of stuff, including lettuce (no names mentioned, but it's not me)! :) Anyway, I just sliced some cucumbers, tomatoes, and of course onions because I LOVE ONIONS! I use vingarette dressing usually on my salads, but sometimes I venture out to ranch (only at Outback it seems) or a sun dried tomato dressing. Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
**Please Note: I have two postings today. Please scroll down to see my special Dearest Dad Papertrey Ink post.** Hey Bleeps! I'm back today with another Lawn Fawn sneak-a-peek. Remember when I told you that yesterday's sneak-a-peek would relate to today's? Well, here is why - I created an ensemble to go with the entire young boy's party. I made a thank you card and party favor, which highlights the Critters in the Sea set along with Harold's ABCs. With Harold's ABCs, you can personalize anything and create your own sentiment, like I did with the "thanks" and even your own background pattern. Here's how I did it! Instructions- Trim white cardstock to 3.5" x 4.5" and stamp text background pattern. See next section on how I made it quick and easy and more options.
- Pop text background off an A2 card front.
- Die cut and emboss circle and inverted scalloped circles and mat together.
- Stamp "thanks" and pop off card front center.
- Stamp "fish" and pop off die cut.
Tips, Tricks & Techniques- Line letters on acrylic block and stamp like you would any background stamp. See photo below.
- You can create a special background pattern with a personalized message.
- Imagine using a different color ink to make a special sentiment 'jump' out of the text background stamped pattern.
- Recycle containers. The container I used here was recycled from a packaged treat Mac brought home to me from a retirement party at work. There are craft supplies everywhere!

Hey Everyone! Happy Hump Day! Today, I have a card inspired by The Shabby Tea Room's challenge. I used polka dots and the tea theme to create my card. Yesterday, I got braces on a few of my teeth. I say a few because they're only on the bottom, thankfully! Now, this is the second time I've had braces in my life. The first time around, I was very young and sometime during my college years, the retainer was 'lost!' So, that means this time around I'm responsible, not Mom and Dad. If you have children who have braces or may need braces in the future, remember to tell them to keep that retainer in. Now, they do permanent retainers, which may be an option for me when I'm done, in hopefully less than a year. I'll take a picture to share with you all, but today is not the day! They look horrible! haha After they straighten up a bit, I'll share! Anyway, I stumbled on a new technique while creating this card. Sometimes, I stamp on my scrap paper to make sure the stamp is conditioned and inked well. This time, I stamped on an area previously stamped and liked it, so I repeated the process for this card. I share this with you below. It is similar to stamp kissing, just not on the actual stamp. Instructions- Trim rustic cream cardstock to fit an A2 card front.
- Stamp polka dot pattern in sweet blush ink.
- Add doily and trim half off the edge.
- Add distress ink to the card front.
- Add ribbon treatment.
- Die cut oval and emboss, stamp sentiment, and add distress ink.
- Pop oval die cut off card front.
- Stamp sweet blush cardstock in white ink with Hero Arts doily stamp.
- Stamp teapot in tea dye ink on top of stamped doily pattern, cut out, ink edges, and pop off card front.
- Add pearls and color with a Copic marker.
- Add pearl flourish.
Tips, Tricks and Techniques- Stamp Kissing on Cardstock - Stamp pattern with white pigment ink on cardstock, then stamp a solid image using a darker ink over top stamped background. The result is a patterned image.
- Doily Finds - Recently, I've found a few doilies. When out to eat at a restaurant, check to see if they use doilies to decorate serving plates. If so, sometimes you can remove them before they're stained or used and use them on your projects, like the one I used here. Another tip - Ask your server for some. They may look at you weird, but it worked for me and I got at least five of them and they're really huge and unique and...FREE!

Hey there, Bleeps! I hope you're having a great week so far. Today wraps up Nurses Week! I wanted to make something in honor of all of the nurses out there who work hard. I have a few Bleeps at Wishard Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana on the third floor (I think the L/D ward), including my cousin, Brigitte! Thanks for reading my blog and being great nurses in the "Nap!" I also want to highlight my friend, Mona Pendleton, who is an operating room nurse in Phoenix, Arizona. You're an awesome nurse and you even 'saved' my life during our hike up the mountain last month! :) There are so many other nurses out there that I am unable to list, but this card is for you and all you contribute to the medical profession.
Thanks for stopping by! If you know a nurse, see a nurse, or talk to a nurse - tell them Happy Nurse's Week! :)
Instructions - Trim cream cardstock block and stamp polka dot background pattern, then ink all over.
- Stamp ledger on yellow cardstock, trim, distress and ink, then mat on polka dot paper.
- Die cut circle, stamp text background and ink it up.
- Stamp stethoscope and pop circle die cut off yellow/polka dotted paper.
- Add cabbage rose ribbon, ruffling it only in the middle.
- Add twill tape and tie two bows.
- Adhere double buttons with twine to the ribbon knots.
- Stamp sentiment.
- Adhere onto pink A2 card base and ink the edges.
Tips & Tricks - Adhering buttons to ribbon knots: When you do not tie the buttons onto the ribbon, adhere them with strong adhesive. I used Helmar's 450 Quick Dry Adhesive. It dries super fast and is very strong.

Hey there, Bleeps*! It's Friday Eve and I'm so excited because I get to relax a bit and craft a lot. We also have a wedding to photograph on Sunday, so we will be busy, but creatively busy, if that makes any sense! I'm not sure why I'm really liking the brown and peach color combination, but bare with me for one more day! Hopefully, my card for tomorrow will be a bit different. I guess it's just how I'm feeling right now. Anyway, I used quite of bit of products and techniques for this card, so I am going to try to attempt to make sure I remember them all in my explanation below. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a terrific Thursday (corny, I know)! *Bleeps = Blog PeepsInstructions- Trim core'dinations cardstock to 4.25" x 5.5" and dry emboss fleur de lis pattern.

Yes! So happy that it's Wednesday because that means the weekend is just around the corner. You can see it, right?! Well, I have a busy weekend planned ahead of me that includes re-organizing my studio and lots of crafting for some upcoming projects! Since Becky Oehlers has started her Compose a Card challenge, I've wanted to participate and finally worked up the nerve. Boy, did it take some nerves! I went through two pieces of patterned paper and a few stamps before I finally decided on the layout and design. I thought this challenge was going to be a piece of cake, but for some reason it wasn't! I was truly challenged! I'm used to being inspired by a challenge, but this one is different from others. You have more constraints to stay within, which is good when there is just no mojo out there. I kept forgetting to stay within the challenge, which made my fairly clean and simple design not an easy production process. All the while, I had fun and recommend you heading over to Becky's blog to get involved in a real challenge, that is...if you haven't already! Thanks for your visit today! Have fun and do something spontaneous, even if it's not your usual route home! Instructions- Trim vintage cream cardstock to make an A2 card base.
- Trim polka dot patterned paper block and adhere onto a spring rain cardstock block.
- Tie twill tape around border and add felt scalloped circle with button treatmnet.
- Adhere jeweled flourish.

Happy Hump Day! Today, I'm sharing a card with you inspired by Lisa Johnson's Poppy Seed Challenge #2. Oh how I love Lisa's style and did I mention she is the greatest? Check out the fun photo of us below from Winter CHA! I loved this challenge because it is very open, but gives you motivation to pull out a few elements and work with those. For this challenge, we had to use polka dots, light moss, and buttons. Well, somehow I created the card above.
I also have a video to share with you. I mentioned the other day that I got the chance to visit Archiver's (since there is not one in my hometown) and I'm very excited that I was able to find a few great things. Take a peek at this video to see what I picked up!

Hey there, Bleeps! I hope you had a good start to your week. Today, I'm sharing a card inspired by Sarah Martina. She created this bonus sketch over at 2S4Y this week. When I saw it, I knew I had to make a card with the layout! Of course, I changed it just a tad because the cardstock strip I had was pre-cut to a certain length. I always lay things out before I adhere and just liked the way it looked, so I kept it that way.
Hop on over to 2S4Y this week to see the design teams' amazing projects and also for your change to win some great prizes! Take care and thanks for taking a peek!

Happy Monday, Everyone! I hope you had a great weekend. I'm back from my travels to Southeast Asia! :) Today, I'm sharing another Lawn Fawn sneak peek! I used a flower stamp to create patterned paper on kraft cardstock in various ink colors. Fun hand-drawn flowers have always been a favorite of mine. I'm always doodling and flowers are usually all over my page. Now, I can stamp them! This set makes me so happy with the endless possibilities. Here is just one! Happy Monday, Bleeps! I hope you enjoyed your weekend! I took it really easy and enjoyed the snow on Saturday. Well, I actually did not step foot outside, but I enjoyed food, fire, and movies! I finally made it to my scrap area to create this card for this week's 2S4Y sketch by Kazan. I really like the circle card layout. I made mine into a scallop circle card because I wanted more curves! :) The sponsor this week is KLM Digital Designs. That's right, the bear is a digital stamp! I did stamp the "thanks" on the heart in a traditional way though!
As an update on my CHA photos, I was really thinking about a song to use and finally, it came to me last night! One of my current fun songs to use! So, I hope to be able to finish it VERY SOON! :)
If you like photography, McArthur has been hard at work posting a few of his last creative sessions a bit at a time. You can check out his blog here to view some of his recent posts!

Hey there, Bleeps! The holidays are all wrapped up and now it is time to start something new! I'm back to share a new card inspired by Kazan's sketch over at 2S4Y. It's a great sketch that can be flipped vertically for a great outcome. For my card, I applied the layout as presented, in a horizontal format. The house is a digital image by In Style Stamps. In Photoshop CS4, I applied color, printed, cut out, and popped off cardstock. During this time of year, a lot of thank you notes are perfect for those gifts received and also for the special hostesses who invited us over, cooked, and entertained. Here's a peek at the sketch, so give it a try!
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your Monday!

Happy Hump Day, Bleeps! Today, starts the pre-Thanksgiving festivities for us. I hope to get off of work a little early so I can nap and start cooking all night. I'm a night owl and prefer that schedule! Today, I am sharing a wine gift bag. It is super quick to make and perfect for a hostess if you going to someone's house for the holidays. Who doesn't like wine? Well, I'm sure many don't, but wine or even some sort of sparkling bubbly (alcoholic or not) is a festive way to express your gratitude.
I'd like to take today's post and express my gratitude for you, my Bleeps! I never thought people would read my blog and I'm ever so grateful for each of you. If I could, I would make this wine gift bag (with wine included) in it to give to you because I am thankful for you. There are so many things I am thankful for, but thankful for people is the most special to me. Everything else may come and go, but people should be cherished. I would love to hear what you are thankful for this holiday, so please leave a comment and share to celebrate this joyous holiday!
Enjoy your day and thanks so much for your visit!
