October

I love fall in Pennsylvania. I think this state is very pretty. October starts off slow for us and then finishes big. Smitty turned 32 and had to work on his birthday. He was able to come home for peanut butter bars, not cake. Genevieve  still did not like me singing happy birthday.
We have been trying for a couple of weeks now to get family photos done but the rain and cold have
moved into Erie.
Halloween was one of those rainy, cold days. Huge gusts of wind and sideways rain but we still made it to about a dozen houses

Genevieve turns one

We celebrated Genevieve's birthday because smitty will be out of town for most for the month. She loved the cake, hated the singing, and enjoyed all the little kids until she got tired. Then she was DONE

Florida

I bought my ticket so long ago, I swear that everyone knew we were going to florida. Dane received his wings and we all decide to go and see him and Angela. Dick and Smitty had to work but we had a ton of fun for them. The weather was great, muggy but great, we swam in the gulf of Mexico, saw a shark and got to see the blue angels practice all the time.

new house & visitors

Here are some photos of the main floor of our new house. We had to wait a while to get a rental from the residency but it was so worth it. We got an amazing huge house with a great yard. My niece Lucy told me last time I saw her that 'ashlee, you have a tiny baby house.' I told her next time she came that it would be a big house. We did not disappoint her. The Vogels and Grandmama Marj came up for a quick trip and got to check out or new digs. Genevieve loved having kids over.
The day before my family's trip to Florida so see Dane and Angela, we were very fortunate to have Smitty's Officer Commissioning into the Army Reserves. This has been a long time coming and we are finally official.
