Waltzingmouse Stamps May PJ Party

Hi there! Welcome to the May Waltzingmouse Stamps Pajama Party!

You can find all the details of the four different challenges for tonight's party on the WMS Blog. That is also where you can link up your creations - the links are open through tomorrow evening.

The DT has joined in for some of the challenges, and I have put a few things together that hopefully inspire you to join us!

Our first challenge is Man of the Moment, to make a masculine-themed card for the significant man in your life. Of course, I've got my sweet hubby, so this card is for him.

First I stamped the heart outline from the Halftone Backgrounds set. Then I die cut the Kaboom Die and added some silver (I know, it looks white!) embossing powder to the bottom of the word. The 'You're the One' sentiment is from the Kaboom stamp set, along with the design stamped on the gray portion of the card.

Simple, straightforward, with just a little zing. Its what masculine cards are all about!

My second card is for the Old Pajamas Challenge. This month we're using the Man of the Hour stamp set.

Again, keeping it simple. I started with a background stamped with a plaid pattern created with the Off Beat Backgrounds set. I love this color combination of Kraft, Brown, and Gray. The sentiment was stamped onto the bottom of the largest tag from the Stitched Tags die set. I just chopped off the taggy bit at the top and had a great little spot for a sentiment. And yes, those are brads. Maybe I can single-handedly bring them back. Anyone else still have a ton in their stash?

Well, that's what I am sharing this evening. I hope you will be able to join us for the party. There are four challenges and a shot at a great prize! Have a great night!

Waltzingmouse Stamps February Release Day Hop

Hi there - you've made it!

Today we are still holding our traditional 'release day' blog hop, even though these sets have been available for a few days. Have you been enjoying our inspiration? Are you patiently waiting for some of these sets to wing their way to your craft room?

You should have arrived here from sweet Laurie Schmidlin's blog. The waltz starts over on Claire's blog, so be sure to head there if you're just popping in.

I have two more cards to share with you today, kind of a mash up of stamps and dies.

This card uses the Kaboom stamp set and Kaboom word die in a flirty color scheme that just screams tween.

The word die was stamped with the coordinating image from the stamp set. This is a great way to add even more to the versatility of these sets, the stamp just adds some oomph! I think this might be one of my favorite cards of the release.

My next card features a combo of Halftone Backgrounds, the Pretty Circles Die (here I used the surplus between the two circles) and the freebie Hello die. I am crushing on that gold embossed halftone stripe!

I hope you have enjoyed the DT showcase of this month's release and I look forward to seeing these sets popping up in your creations. All the details about the release and the information for the Pin It contest is available on the WMS blog.

My sweet friend Jeanne Jachna will be your next stop along the hop! Take care!

Waltzingmouse Stamps February Release, Day 3

Hi there,

I hope your week is off to a good start. Welcome to Day 3 of the February Release at Waltzingmouse Stamps. Remember, the stamps and die sets that we are showcasing are now available for purchase in the WMS Store! Tomorrow we will wrap things up with our traditional blog hop.

Today we are showcasing the Halftone Backgrounds stamp set and the Easter word die.

Halftone Backgrounds is a staple set if you like the graphic and mixed media styles, but with a little creativity, is a great accent to any style!

Nothing too fancy on this card, just some bold colors and lots of image layering. Here's a trick: I flipped the long strip stamp over and inked up the back side to add a solid shape to the mix. Any of the images in this set would be perfect candidates for this technique. The little chevrons are a fun accent, I stamped a few in a row and cut them out, adhering them to my card with dimensional adhesive. The sentiment is from the Kaboom stamp set, these two sets make a great pair!

My second card for the day features the Easter word die.

So pretty! The watercolor background was created using Distress Inks - nothing difficult, just some watercolor paper and a wet brush. The inks are very forgiving, and I was just going for something light and springy.

The word die was adhered to a strip of paper vellum and then to my card base. The 'He is Risen' is from the Nestie Eggs set.

That's all I have for today, please be sure to visit the rest of the Design Team, as well as Claire on the WMS Blog. Don't forget that the entire February release is available for purchase NOW in the Waltzingmouse Stamps Store!

Anya Schrier - you are here!

So glad you stopped by! See you tomorrow!

Waltzingmouse Stamps February Release, Day 2

Hello there!

Welcome back to Day 2 of the February Release at Waltzingmouse Stamps. This month, the Design Team is sharing inspiration and showcasing the sets that are NOW available for purchase in the WMS Store. We will conclude with our traditional blog hop on March 3rd, so I hope you will continue to visit to see what is new each day.

Today we are showcasing the Kaboom stamp set and Kaboom Die.

I can't see this set without immediately thinking of the vintage Batman comics:

Channeling my inner fangirl, here's what's up for today:

This card features all images and sentiments from Kaboom. I stamped and colored the words and word 'bubbles' and cut them out, adhering them with dimensional adhesive. One thing I really like about this set is that it can really go in any direction you'd like - just perfect for a younger boy but also perfectly fitting for a girl, an adult, or even your sweetie. I think this next card would make a great card for the superhero in your life.

I started by first die cutting a pinked circle from black cardstock.  Then I centered the Kaboom Die and die cut that from the circle. I trimmed a piece of cardstock big enough to fit in the die cut window and covered it with double sided tape (I used three strips of 1/2" Scor-Tape), then added a different color of glitter to each strip to create an ombre effect. I peeled the backing from one strip of tape at a time and added the glitter before moving to the next.

Then I adhered the Kaboom Die cut word in the center of the window. The die also cuts an outline for the word, and I just put that aside for this project. The additional sentiment is from the Kaboom stamp set and was heat embossed in gold. I think this would make a great Valentine's Day card for my superhero husband.

So that is it for me today, be sure to visit the rest of the Design Team, as well as Claire on the WMS Blog. Don't forget that the entire February release is available for purchase NOW in the Waltzingmouse Stamps Store!

Anya Schrier - you are here!

So glad you stopped by! See you tomorrow!

Waltzingmouse Stamps February Release, Day 1

Hello there!

Today I am happy to bring you Day 1 of the countdown for the February Release at Waltzingmouse Stamps. This month, we are switching things up and all the products being released this month are available TODAY! So you can pop right over to the store and snatch them right up. The Design Team will be sharing inspiration for the next three days and conclude with our traditional hop on March 3rd.

Today's previews are of the Special Lady stamp set, and the Mother Die, Pretty Circles Die, and a freebie (with minimum purchase this month), the mini Hello die.

Up first, the Special Lady stamp set.

This set has a Victorian feel to it, with a beautiful period lady in her big feathered hat, an ornate circle and some fab sentiments. I pulled a little of all of them together to make this card.  The detail on that pretty Miss is amazing!

Next up is the Mother Die die.

The font on this die coordinates with that used in the Special Lady stamp set, so they make a wonderful compliment. I chose to pair it with (what else?) the Old Country Roses set for some springtime charm. After die cutting the word from regular cardstock, I doused it in gold embossing powder and heat embossed it for a metallic finish. Love!

And finally, the Pretty Circles Die and Hello die. These are also great together, so I combined them for my card.

The Pretty Circles Die is really a great die - more like 3-in-1 - as you end up with a scalloped circle, a fancy scalloped aperture in your card, and the fun little pinked bit that is between them. I can see this one getting a lot of use!

Be sure to visit the rest of the Design Team, as well as Claire on the WMS Blog. Don't forget that the entire February release is available for purchase NOW in the Waltzingmouse Stamps Store!

Anya Schrier - you are here!

So glad you stopped by! See you tomorrow with Day 2!

Hello There

Tap, tap.. is this thing on?

Hi! How are you? Its been a while, huh? You know how life gets. I was really missing making cards, and found that my post-holiday decluttering spree was moving in the direction of my craft room. I did some rearranging, some major re-organizing, and now I have a space that makes me feel like getting crafty again! So after sitting there at my nice clean desk for a while, I just knew that my friend Jeanne would be playing along with a fabulous card challenge!

And she was! I latched right on to this week's Fusion Card Challenge. I mostly used the sketch, but took a little bit of inspiration from the colors in the inspiration image.

The fabulous roses are from the Old Country Roses set from WMS. Still feeling a little rusty, but looking forward to limbering up with some more challenges. Jeanne is the queen, and she's got me covered! :)

Have a fabulous evening!

WMS December Pajama Party

Hi there! Welcome to the December Waltzingmouse Pajama Party! Are you in the midst of holiday prep? I took some of the challenges for this month as an opportunity to finish off some last minute holiday cards.

You can find all the details of the four different challenges for tonight's party on the WMS Blog. That is also where you can link up your creations - the links are open through tomorrow evening.

The DT has joined in for some of the challenges, and I have put a few things together that hopefully inspire you to join in! First up, the Old Pajamas challenge. This month, we are pulling out the Country Labels No. 4 set.

Did you ever have one of those moments that a few images on a scrap paper trigger an idea? That's where this card came from - that pretty snowflake is the branch image from the Country Labels set, just stamped six times. I stamped it first in dark blue and then a second time in a lighter shade to create a shadowed look. The sentiment is from the set, and some glitter and stitching finishes it off.

My second card is for this month's Bedtime Story sketch.

And my card...

Using the super fun Jolly Old Elf set. Isn't this guy the cutest? I love the sentiments in this set so much. Looking forward to sending this one off to a friend. I also used the Pretty Panel 2 Die.

I hope you will be able to join us for the party. There are four challenges and a shot at a huge prize! Have a great night!

Waltzingmouse Stamps November Release Day Hop

Hi there - you've made it!

Today is release day! The two fabulous new stamp sets, Old Country Roses and Vintage Postcards that we have been sharing for the past few days are now available for purchase in the Waltzingmouse Stamps store.

If you'd like to catch up on what I've created, check out my posts from Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3.

You should have arrived here from sweet Laurie Schmidlin's blog. The waltz starts over on Claire's blog, so be sure to head there if you're just popping in.

I have two more cards to share with you today, one from each stamp set. First up, Old Country Roses.

Why just use one stamp when you can use them all? And why just one color when you can make a rainbow?! Loving the sentiment-less card fronts with these roses. They are just too pretty on their own. I fancied up the background by embossing it with the Swiss Dots embossing folder and then scoring some diagonal lines with a scoring tool. It is deliciously vintage.

A selection of images from Vintage Postcards was used on this one-layer card. Layering these images is FUN! I tied it all up in a bow using some twine.

I hope you have enjoyed the countdown for this month's release, I have loved using these stamps - they are a must-have for your collection! The products are now available for sale in the Waltzingmouse Stamps store. The first 50 orders of £60GBP or more will receive a free Snowflake 3 Die!  All the details are on Claire's blog, along with the information about the Pin It contest!

My sweet friend Jeanne Jachna will be your next stop along the hop! Take care!

Waltzingmouse Stamps November Release, Day 3

Hello there and welcome to Day 3 of the countdown for the November Release at Waltzingmouse Stamps. We are previewing two new sets that will be released on December 2nd.

So far we have had two days sharing previews of the Old Country Roses and Vintage Postcards sets, and today we are showing how well these two sets combine.

I am head over heels for today's cards:

This makes my heart go pitter-patter. I love, love, love the look of Old Country Roses, Vintage Postcards, and Festive Foliage together. Winter roses for the 2014 holiday card win!

My second card has a more country vibe, bringing in a Gingham stamped background.

The mini post cards were made by die cutting the card from the Gift Card It die set. Really, I just love these sets to pieces. The look is just so wonderfully vintage, but the roses are SO easy to stamp!

Here are the rest of the ladies sharing today:

Anya Schrier - you are here!

These two sets will be available for purchase tomorrow. Be sure to stop back for our traditional release day hop!

Waltzingmouse Stamps November Release, Day 2

Hiya!

Welcome back, its Day 2 of the countdown for the November Release at Waltzingmouse Stamps. We are previewing two new sets that will be released on December 2nd.

Yesterday, I shared the Old Country Roses set, and today we are sharing previews of the Vintage Postcards set.

Vintage Postcards is a wonderfully fun set, with different elements and motifs to create your own vintage style postcards. This particular card uses just about every stamp in the set, so you get a pretty good peek at what this one includes. I LOVE how fun and easy it was to create the collage-y look.

My second card pulls together some of the Christmas elements in the set (I don't think you can have a post card set without a Santa stamp image!) and combines them with some older sets to create this cute little card-on-a-card! The Gift Card Envelope Die is a perfect compliment to this set!

Just so you know...I want to put the postmark and cancellation images on just about everything. They are so fun!

So that is it for me today, check out the WMS Blog for more details about the cut files for this set.

Also, don't forget that each day of the previews will be highlighted on the WMS Inspiration Blog if you'd like to catch everything in one spot. But if I were you, I'd head on over to visit these other lovely ladies, who have created some gorgeous projects for today!

Anya Schrier - you are here!

So glad you stopped by! See you tomorrow with Day 3!

Waltzingmouse Stamps November Release, Day 1

Hello there!

Today I am happy to bring you Day 1 of the countdown for the November Release at Waltzingmouse Stamps. We had a slight schedule adjustment for the US Thanksgiving holiday, but now we are back to the normal countdown with previews continuing through December 1 and the release on December 2nd.

So for the next four days the Design Team will be sharing previews of two new stamp sets that will be available for purchase on December 2nd. I know I say some variation of this every release, but this month's sets are truly some of my most favorite EVER. Just you wait.

Today's previews are of the Old Country Roses set. This set features multi-stamp rose images to build gorgeous cabbage roses. It is OUTSTANDING!

With a variety of bloom and leaf sizes in this set, the images can easily stand on their own. Any more, I am a big fan of creating cards with no particular sentiment on the front. I need that versatility, and this could easily go from a get well, to a hello, to a birthday, to a thank you card.

Seriously, people. Those roses.

Each bloom features three layers, and they are super easy to line up. Just match up the centers of each flower and don't worry about the outsides. They just fall perfectly to create that full flower! I particularly like the look of them stamped on colored cardstock.

This card also features the lone sentiment in the set, along with the previously released Pretty Panel #2 Die.

Cut files will be available with this month's release, but the flowers are pretty easy to cut out on their own (plus, my Cameo is buried deep in a closet of boxes.. I'll be moving in for years).

Claire will be sharing more details about the cut files on the WMS Blog, Also, don't forget that each day of the previews will be highlighted on the WMS Inspiration Blog if you'd like to catch everything in one spot. But if I were you, I'd head on over to visit these other lovely ladies, who have created some gorgeous projects for today!

Anya Schrier - you are here!

So glad you stopped by! See you tomorrow with Day 2!

WMS November Pajama Party

Hi there! What a great night to be cozy around the house for the November Waltzingmouse Pajama Party! The snow is swirling in my part of the world and the thought of a nice fire, some hot cocoa and some stamping sounds great.

You can find all the details of the four different challenges for tonight's party on the WMS Blog. That is also where you can link up your creations - the links are open through tomorrow evening.

The DT has joined in for some of the challenges, and I have put a few things together that hopefully inspires you to join in. First up, the Scandi tags challenge.

I am almost embarrassed at how easy this tag was! I started by die cutting the Folk Art Snowflake from vellum. Then I overlaid it onto a piece of red cardstock and die cut them both with the largest of the Stitched Tags Die Set. A second snowflake die cut from patterned paper gave me the solid circles that I used to fill in some of the spots. This is a fun technique and is really cool when you use bright colors. I added a sentiment (from Compliments of the Season Two) and that was it! Super easy, but still has that Scandinavian vibe!

Next up is the Old Pajamas Challenge, with this month's focus on the Candy Jar Christmas set.

This is one of my favorite sets, I love all the festive images. I wanted to put a few together, so I split my card front up into panels and used a different one for each. The colors and patterned paper pull it all together.

And lastly, this month's Bedtime Story Sketch:

Here is what I put together, using the newly released Flurries stamp set and Pretty Panel #1 Die Set.

This is my favorite non-traditional holiday color combo... a nice frosty blue and sweet peach. I stamped the different snowflakes randomly, added some distress ink and topped it all off with some sparkles. A really fun sketch!

I hope you will be able to join us for the party. There are four challenges and a shot at a huge prize! Have a great night!

WMS October Pajama Party

Good evening - do you have your jammies on? Its time for the October Waltzingmouse Pajama Party!

You can find all the details of the four different challenges for tonight's party on the WMS Blog. That is also where you can link up your creations - the links are open through tomorrow evening.

The DT has joined in for some of the challenges, I have put something together for the 'Old Pajamas' challenge. We are reviving an older set - this month we are using the beautiful Yonder Star stamp set.

Here is my card, a simple design using the solid star image.

I stamped the image off of the edge of the card in Sahara Sand ink and then stamped it again in cranberry and teal ink. I cut out some of the center pieces and layered them for a different look. I masked the sentiment, which was longer, to stamp just the simple word Peace.

I also put something together for this month's Bedtime Story sketch.

I used the All Hallows Eve stamp set - I really love this vintage crow image. This was a super fun sketch - just look at all those fabulous patterned papers!

I hope you will be able to join us for the party. There are four challenges and a shot at a huge prize! I hope you'll join us!
