Personalize your coasters with this easy DIY image transfer project by using your favorite photos.
Here's what you'll need:
4 inch Stone Tiles
Photos printed on a laser printer
Dixie Belle Clear Coat
Spray Bottle Filled With Water
Scissors
Paintbrush
Felt Pads
Resize your photos to fit the tiles. They will need to be printed on a laser printer or the ink will bleed. I print my photos on my ink jet printer and take them to an office supply store to make laser copies on regular computer paper.
Wipe down the stone tiles to remove any dust.
Add a generous coat of Dixie Belle Clear Coat to the image side of the photo.
Place the photo face down onto the tile.
Now for the hard part... waiting for it to dry completely!
Once the paper is dry, fill a spray bottle with water and saturate the paper.
Let the water seep into the paper, then gently rub away the paper with your finger.
As the image dries, if the image appears cloudy, spray with more water and continue to remove the excess paper.
Once all the paper is removed and there is no cloudy appearance, add a few coats of the clear coat to seal the coasters.
Add felt pads to the bottom of the coasters so they won't scratch furniture.
