this blog is to chart my creative evolution with stamping, paper-crafting, mixed media and some other stuff i haven't figured out yet... on the theory that challenging myself to try new things and post them to the "world" will be good for me. and might also be good for others. my blog title is inspired by julia cameron's "the artist's way" and her admonition to fill the well.

the owl and the pussycat
the theme at tag tuesday this week is nursery rhymes. at the cheeky challenge we are to use "ocean shades." my tag is for both challenges; i chose "the owl and the pussycat" by edward lear and made a digital tag.
the background is from the isla bonita paper pack by gecko galz, the design is called "starfish." i typed the poem onto the background. the rowboat is from open clip art. owl and pussycat are by dezinaworld.
i love this poem. have a great day; love to all.

autumn wings
2 digital pieces for this week's wings theme at cheeky challenge:
all images by dezinaworld.
background and key by gecko galz, all else by dezinaworld.
although i generally prefer to make actual "moos" for the moo mania and more challenges i am linking these two creations for the latest "fall foliage" theme there because my winged ladies are also autumn ladies. i hope to make a moo later.
also linking to "anything goes" at inspiration destination!

lunagirl sponsored challenge alert at crafting by design
as promised, i'm sharing details on a challenge featuring lunagirl images. lunagirl is the sponsor for the current challenge at crafting by design on the theme of "get ready for christmas." i was delighted to make an ATC as a guest designer, using the lunagirl "winter fun" collage sheet.
i'm not really ready to think about cold weather and winter holidays but it was still fun to make this.
i hope you'll join the challenge at crafting by design. a challenge winner will get a prize from lunagirl! i'm linking this to crafty hazelnut's christmas challenge -- cute or anything goes.
love to all.

tea for two
it has been awhile since i've transposed animal heads onto human bodies in my crafting. the cats and dogs challenge this week at tag tuesday put this idea into my head and onto my crafting table:
all vintage images (cat, dog, bodies and moon) come from the lunagirl company. the background paper is by jodie lee designs and the rest is stash.
love to all.

paper doll play
for the tag tuesday "paper doll" prompt: i used julie nutting prima doll "keira" and patterned papers by gecko galz for 2 of the dresses and paper by heather hudson for the heart dress.
i stamped the doll on a cardboard base, cut it out and outlined in black ink. i then stamped just the dress several times and cut it out. so much cutting! but fun to make a paper doll.
linking to "children" at try it on tuesday blog, as paper dolls are children's play (although since i am an adult i guess it is adult play too!)
enjoy; love to all.
