The eve of Jackson's birthday I found these lollipop grams in Andi's and Ryan's backpack.  I loved that as I prepared to celebrate this kid of mine, I was reminded how incredible he is - as if I needed a reminder.  He used his own money, money he could have used on himself or on his friends, and paid for a gram for his siblings.  It really doesn't get better than that!
Because I am getting tired of cleaning up the streamer mess, I opted for a balloon lined hallway instead.  I like it.
The morning of his birthday I let him open one gift.  This boys LOVES hats.

Ok, so maybe that one gift had a few items in there but when the boys asks for toy soldiers from the Dollar Tree, it's easy to fill up a gift bag.

Cole and I had to drop off the kids and then park to attend Jackson's 3rd grade play.  He had been so excited for us to be there for this I love that about him.
I also love how he kept waving to Cole and Cole kept waving back.  They have such a great friendship those two.

After school we headed over to In-N-Out for a birthday shake.  Jackson's idea ;)

That night we had a family dinner at Mom Can Cook.

Tristan and Curtis were so cute to leave Jackson a gift at the house and he was stoked to see it when we got home.

The following day the kids had a minimum day because of Open House.  I figured that was the perfect chance to have a party.  So after 12:30pm pick up, we made our way over to the park to hang out and eat for a few hours before Open House.  Loved it!

It's always something with the darn pinata but Andrew and Jake's team work made it all come together.

So Gunner and Jackson made a deal... Gunner would get Jackson a pocket knife for his birthday and Jackson would get Gunner Mr. Sketch markers for his birthday.  They're nuts!

Great Aunt Jill & Great Uncle Ben are truly amazing.  They have played such a present role in the lives of these kids and they love it - we love it!
At about 5pm I think Jackson was ready for bed.  It didn't help that he sliced his hand at his first attempt to use his knife.  oops.
Open House was fabulous - the three of them are all doing so well and so in love with their teachers, friends, classes.  We feel so blessed to be where we are.
