101.4
This is the part I didn't want to experience. This is the reason I wanted to be able to still nurse through the winter. This is what I thought I could prevent if I was careful.
Yesterday the coughing began, then at 7pm, the crying began. Jackson cried every half hour or so. This made for a very lovely nights sleep - or not! This morning around 7:30am I took his temperature (last night it was normal) and it was 100.4. Then around 8am it reached 101.4. I had him in a cool bath, goosebumps and all, and then put him in a onesie. I quickly got dressed and off we were to see Dr. Melman.
Melman said that Jackson has an ear infection in his right ear. The fever should go away in 24-48 hours. So for now, Jackson is living on anti-biotics and Tylenol. Poor baby. He wakes up so often and he drowns his face in tears - so he looks like he got beat up pretty good!!
So sad! And Jena, two sick babies at once - with each step I experience, I learn how amazing you are!

Thanksgiving
This year was much like all the others because we spent a lot of time on the road but other than that, there were many changes. It all began with picking up Ben and his girlfriend Vanessa, on our way to Riverside for our 2pm appointment. So not only was that a first, but this year all of my siblings were able to make it. It was so great to have them all there celebrating with the family. Abuelita did very well in joining the festivities and taking care of herself. It was a lot of fun at Rob & Sharon's and I wish we could have stayed longer, but duty called in Acton at 5pm.
We didn't really plan on being there at 5pm, naturally because we had just had dinner, but we were still late in meeting our 6pm goal due to an accident. But once we got there, we had a nice time visiting. I guess I would have to say this year was different over because it was a pretty empty house. Had Tristan's family not come, there would have only been Tori and her family, Curtis and Tristan and then us. Wes, Paige, Shay, and Kioa are in Ut. and Chris is in Pakistan (I think). Sorry no pictures this time, my camera battery died in Riverside :(
So I have to say - I am grateful for that day, I am grateful for my life - Happy Thanksgiving You All!!

Where Has The Time Gone?
Jackson grew over night - He wanted to awake as a whole new person on his SIX MONTH BIRTHDAY!! It really is unbelieveable how much he has changed - we are so proud!
Well the truth of the matter is, Cannon came over to celebrate with Jackson. Too bad Jackson was a tired pooper, Cannon was forced to entertain himself in memory of his buddy.
I on the other hand got some sad news today. Because my back has been tight for months, and for almost three weeks I haven't been able to laugh or talk a lot without coughing OR SING, I went to the doctor's today. I was put on steroids and can't feed Jackson fo ten days. Who would have thought that would have saddened me?!?!? I always expected to welcome the end of nursing - but I am not. I am sure I will get over this attachment soon and be glad it's over, but as for tonight, it's a gloomy one. So for Jackson's birthday gift - he got one last meal :)

The Last Farewell
So you may be right in thinking that SUSHI was just an excuse to go to sushi - it wasn't really the farewell. Because of that, we headed to Acton to say our final good-byes. It was weird knowing Shay and Kioa were moving to Utah, but it's nice timing because they will be back in a month for Christmas. They also had a chance to watch Jackson Friday, so they were able to bond one last time.
So what else is new in the neighborhood??? Jackson is having a little too much to drink these days.
The shades help him then deal with the bright lights.
Once recovered, he likes to go out and play a nice game of Polo.
As for me, I am just hanging out!

Farewell Fifita's
They are off to a better life in Utah!! They leave this weekend so we had to get in one last Light 'N Healthy trip. Nothing like a spicy tuna hand roll!!! We will miss you guys, but we'll always have sushi!

Tired Boy
I got home from work around 3:30p.m. and my mother-in-law informs me that Jackson had a 15 minute morning nap, and then a 40min. afternoon nap. So she says he is VERY tired. After she left, I got him his sippy cup with juice, and I sat on the my bed with him talking about the day. Usually I would sacrifice my time and take a little nap with him, but I remembered that we were scheduled for a life insurance meeting at 5p.m., so I thought I should put him down and straighten up the house. So.... 4:15p.m. he was down, in bed, asleep - and that's how he's been ever since!! He NEVER misses a meal, even if he happens to be asleep when the meal approaches. But, 6:15p.m. has come and gone, and homeboy is still sleeping. Due to his habit of a 2 or 4a.m. feeding, I am going to let him wake up when he's ready to eat... maybe then we will have a full nights sleep!!!
Other than that, life is going fairly well. I have a slow month due to the holidays, but Andrew has had an extremely busy month. Which is good and bad as you can imagine! Jackson and I have been doing a lot of bonding though - he is SO much fun!!! I am sure it will only get more and more interesting as he continues to develop, I just can't believe how fun it's been.
Anyway, I know a blog is never as interesting without a picture, so I will put this blog to its end.

Topanga Heaven!
So I did it, I had some extra time the other day (imagine that) while I was waiting to attend an English Dept. meeting, and so what better place to "hang out", than the new Topanga Mall. I thought about my dear dear friend Jena as I prepared myself for the parking search - only to find out that that is not nearly a problem now that Nordstroms has a new home. So we did park in front of CPK so we could walk to the food court where Jackson and I could eat - but IT MOVED!! We were now on an adventure. After making my way around the Topanga Heaven, I came upon a smell, a very familiar smell, one that not everyone enjoys - but I live for this smell.... SUSHI!!! What, a food court with a Sushi Bar - YES!!! Now of course that wouldn't have been your favorite part Jena, but you would have LOVED the rest of it. It's gorgeous there - but I can't speak much for the Nordstroms. I couldn't get myself to go in without you (and some money!!). So, then next time you are in town - you know where we are going!! Jackson said we should give you a sneak peak - I hope you enjoy it. Naturally it does not do it justice - and of course J had to be part of it - it was a big day for him you know!!! He spent A LOT of time there with us back in the day!!!

One Year - Take Two
I was going to my class sites to check up on things, and lo and behold, the blog below was posted on my English II page. Considering I was on the phone, holding Jackson and blogging at the same time, it's not too much of a surprise to me. So anyway, this was up yesterday, but now it's up in the right spot!!!
A year ago yesterday - the twins arrived!! I remember being so excited and nervous and in denial. I couldn't believe it was actually happening... wait, this isn't about me.... Jena and Aaron, I am sure you were sharing some of my emotions - I mean it must have been an exciting time for you too!!! We hope you had a blast celebrating yesterday. You guys have done such an amazing job - twins are not easy and I should know :) Love you all and Happy Birthdays!!!!

The Walker
No, I'm not talking about Jena back in the day...I am talking about Jackson's walker. We finally found one. I kept finding exersaucers and things of that sort, but we wanted a walker. We wanted Jackson to be able to walk around downstairs, on his own - sort of! I was in Walmart, where I had just been a couple days prior to this occassion, and there it was... $30! So I picked one up and we headed home to try it out. Jackson was a little unsure in the beginning - but he quickly learned that he could easily move himself BACKWARD! He hasn't really moved forward yet, but it works!
It's a great way for me to get the house cleaned up, especially if I give him a long enough book to read!

His First Halloween!!
The morning of our Halloween festivites, we decided to celebrate my 25th at the Acton Park. We met up with our families to play a little "over the line". Our softball game turned into over the line due to the fact that we didn't have enough people for a real game, and many were in favor of not having to do too much running! IT WAS A BLAST! It was amazing to have all my siblings there, and most of the Andersons, and just enjoy being outdoors. I love softball so it was nice to get out there and compete - all though the competition took control over my mouth from time to time when I made an error! :(
We didn't go out ON Halloween, but we did go to the Agua Dulce Ward party on the Saturday before Halloween. It was interesting to be there again, but it was nice to give Jackson a litte taste of the festivities. I am sure he REALLY enjoyed it!
I just can't wait to see him running around trying to get all the candy he possible can - NOT!!!!! (Do you like my junior high "not"?)
A Newborn AGAIN?!?!?!
So the evening of the day Jackson was SO good for me, he gave me a little something to think about. A few of the previous nights, he would wake up and want to eat around 4am. It was driving me crazy, but I thought, "Hey, what if he's growing." So I fed him and dealt with it. Then Tuesday night, Annette, Grandma Sue, Shay & Kioa spent the night. Jackson also decided that that night, he would wake up crying at 12:30am, 1:15am, 2:30am, 4:00am, and so on. He was so upset all night - it wasn't simple like the previous night, feed him and he falls asleep. Plus I couldn't let him cry it out because I didn't want to disturb out guests!!! Such a bad night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any advice for my newborn??
