We are all set to go!

We had a 45 minute ride to Port Canaveral and then lucky us got on speedy fast with Grandma and Grandmpa's VIFP status and Grandma's wheelchair. Carnival Dream our home for the next week! It is one of their biggest ships and there were 4300 passengers on board. Plus about 1500 crew! Crazy! I def think with that many people you get a lot of options food wise. We found this out fast as that is where we headed first! (along with all other 4289 people :)

Then we had to familiarize ourselves with the amenities...

After we cleaned up unpacked a little and headed to dinner. This was my first time on Carnival and doing the "dining room at the same time each day" thing. It was nice. I like it. I liked our servers and I liked knowing them. However some days I def would have eaten later had I had the option.
At dinner Koen took over Suzi's beef and barley soup and then ordered another bowl. I had some super yummy spicy, breaded shrimp! For sure one of my favorites. Phil started off true cruise style with a huge burger....for his second entree.

I wasn't feeling super great (it was a little rough out there) and so I took Koen to bed early while Phil went with the rest of them to the show. Koen loved his bed in our room and the towel animals.

 Sunday October 14

Sunday was our sea day. We made up on sleep by not getting up early at all. After catching some breakfast we took Koen to the kids club and went to the gym. We have Ragnar in just a few weeks so we couldn't slack off too much. PS I hate running on the treadmill. :)
We picked up Ko and decided we still needed some more sleep (hello it's vacation ;) so we napped. When we woke up I looked on Ko's bed and he wasn't there. I looked all around and asked Phil where he was...welp we found him...
Yep under the bed. Crazy kid. It was formal night this night so we decked ourselves out and headed to dinner.
Few notes about dinners & evenings:
-I ate a banana split EVERY night. Everyone else LOVED the chocolate melting cake and had it every night, it was way good.
-Koen ate macaroni and cheese every. single. night.
-Ko loved to sit in the window. Our restaurant was on the back of the boat and we had awesome views. He had the best from the window.
-The people who sat behind us were chatty Cathy's. They were super nice.
-Koen sucked his thumb an unusual amount because of being tired! urgh...
-Koen thought Grandma was his personal chariot. :)

After dinner we went and saw the show. It was one of the dancing ones. I can't remember really. They were good but for sure after once or twice of seeing them I don't need to see them again. ;)
