Remember yesterday when I was talking about giving a wedding scrapbook to parents or grandparents?  Well, that just happened.  Popped this custom order in the mail today for just that purpose!

Disney Vacation Scrapbook {Election Day Distraction}

Dream Big Disney Scrapbook
What seems more fitting for a Disney vacation than to DREAM BIG?  I love the Simple Stories Say Cheese papers and stickers.  They are so much fun to work with.  I don't know about you but I love it when everything coordinates!  Of course, I wish I could say that it saves me time when putting together a book...but not so much.

For this book I put all the "autograph" spaces on the inserts.  Both sides of these 4-1/2" square inserts have heavy white paper so your favorite characters can sign away!  Recently I did a similar scrapbook for an Etsy customer and she had this to say about the book...

"Just wanted to let you know that your autograph books were a HUGE hit at Disneyland. Literally......every character would sit there and flip through the book after they signed it. It was so funny. And then they would motion to me to ask, "Did I make this?" I told them that they are hand-made, but I ordered it through Etsy. They all seemed amazed that they were made out of paper bags. In fact, Mr. and Mrs. Incredible were together and motioning to each other to check out our books! I had people stopping me in line for the autographs asking me where I got them and how amazing they were! I'll send people your way if I can! Thanks again for such a wonderful job on those books. They are incredible, as always!"

Gotta love happy customers!

Oops...almost forgot...it's Election Day!  I voted before work this morning but they didn't have any "I voted" stickers so I had to make my own....

Oh Baby, it’s HOT!

Cool in the Pool 1

If you’re like me, you’ve been waiting for summer for awhile now.  Back when the snow was flying I couldn’t wait till it was hot….well it’s definitely HOT now!  This weekend the temps hovered around 95 degrees here in western Illinois.  Hot and sunny!  Just my kind of weather…especially when I can hang out in the pool.

Cool in the Pool 2     Cool in the Pool 3

Usually I’m off work for 8 weeks in the summer but this year I’ve been working off and on all summer.  It’s been a good mix though…work, vacations and just plain ol’ down time.   But it sure makes the time fly by fast.

Pretty soon this summer will just be a memory.  I’ve still got pictures waiting to be printed…and scrapped!  How about you?  How are you going to capture the memories of the Summer of 2011?

It’s a Girl Thing

About Me 001

If you’ve been hanging around my blog for awhile you’ve probably seen this scrapbook before.  Actually, not this exact one, but a similar one.  I just love this set of stickers!  I think anyone with girls can appreciate the mentality.   :)

Gotta love the flowers.  They remind me of the fabric from one of my girls dresses when they were about 5 years old!

100% Princess….of course!

100 princess (1)

I’ve been working on orders all weekend.  Trying to catch up on things that got pushed aside a little bit the past couple of weeks while I was dealing with back pain.  Thankfully, I’m finally feeling better.

Anyway, like I said, I’ve been working on orders and somehow almost all those orders have a boyish theme.  Don’t get me wrong…I LOVE orders and I LOVE boys….but this adorable little princess paper has been sitting here taunting me for days.  I just couldn’t resist any longer!

And, what about that white butterfly trim?  Can you see the butterflies along the edge of the black paper?  They’re held in place by some pink brads.  Just love it!

I couldn’t resist using some of the white pom pom trim either.  I can’t remember where I got that trim but every time I’m at the store I look for it hoping to find some more before I run out!

Oh…by the way…the paper and stickers are from the ADORNit line by Carolees Creations.

Okay, okay…now I’m going back to the boy paper….. :)

Some Prom Love…

prom white 001

I showed you this book before….but NOW it’s featured on CLUBhandmade!  Go check it out.  And please… VOTE for it as your fav!!!  Of course, it’s also for sale in my Etsy shop!  Find it HERE.  Want to see more pictures?  Check it out here.

We’ve had some beautiful spring weather here in Illinois…finally!  I’m itchin’ to get out in my yard and start planting…but somehow I’ve managed to mess up my back…so gardening is on hold…as is pretty much everything else that is non-essential.  Hopefully tomorrow I will get some relief with the cortisone shots and life will return to normal.  Whatever ‘normal’ is!

Scrapbook orders are going out a little bit slower than usual….but I should get caught up this weekend.  So if you’re waiting for an order…it will be shipped SOON!  :)

While you’re here…jump over to the right hand column and click FOLLOW.  Just so you don’t miss out on what’s new!

Enjoy the beautiful, sunny day!  (hope that’s the weather forecast where you are too!)

Graduation 2010

grad 001

It’s coming up.

You can tell you’re talking to someone who works in education when they can give you the number of weeks until school is out!

Or…you may be talking to a kid!  :)

Anyone up for a game of volleyball?

volley 001 I have a new favorite company!  Okay….I have LOTS of favorite companies…but this is a new one to me at least.  It’s called Adornit and they have some awesome stuff!!   I picked this volleyball set up the other day and one for basketball too…haven’t pulled that one together yet but it’s on the agenda.  I’m not sure what it is about the stickers that really caught my eye, maybe the clean lines.  Anyway, just love them!  Oh yeah…I got some birthday stuff from this line too.  Oh, so many fun things to scrap.    There are also a couple of blogs associated with the website.  I haven’t had a chance to check them out too much yet, but you know I will be putting them on my list of places to visit!

New Fancy Pants!

Yesterday I stopped at one of my favorite scrapbooking stores….Archiver’s.  I came home with glitter.  Not the bottle kind…but every single thing I bought except ONE had some sort of glitter or shimmer to it.   And, a lot of pink.  Hmmm.  Apparently I’m stuck on shimmer because I also bought some Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels on Friday!  Ok….yeah, that WAS the bottle kind!  :)

Glimmer Mist

So far I’ve only practiced with it but I can’t wait to use it on a project!!!  Hopefully I won’t get too carried away.

I’ve seen this  around for awhile now.

tinyattacher

It’s Tim Holtz’s Tiny Attacher.  Every time I saw it I thought, how silly….another stapler.  BUT, boy was I wrong.  It puts out the cutest little staples ever and I’m not sure why, but I just have to have one!

I’m also loving little crocheted flowers.   I first saw them here…(well maybe not this particular post but somewhere on her blog) and fell in love.  Aren’t they the cutest ever?  (you did go check them out right?).  As long as you’re popping over to the crescendoh blog, you’ve got to see the SHOE!  Totally awesome!

While out shopping yesterday I also stopped at Borders.  Another place I could spend HOURS!  I always have to leaf through the new copy of Artful Blogging.

artful blogging

And, of course, all the other Somerset magazines they had in stock.   They make me smile!  :)

My last stop was at Michael’s.  They had some fun and funky felt “ribbon” for a buck a spool.  There was NO WAY I could pass that up!   I love it when I find fun stuff!  Especially when it’s CHEAP!

Now…hopefully this week I can actually stay home long enough to get some “work” done!
