My friend Monica shared an interactive pull-out page for her mini album HERE.  I adjusted it for a card...because who doesn't love surprises in their cards!!!

The BoBunny Selfie frame and Carta Bella paper came from one of my FAVOURITE stores...Country Craft Creations! (You have got to check out Tamra's Facebook group, it is FULL of tutorials...like Monica's that I shared here!!)

What's this?? A tag? I used a cut-a-part for the tag front, but inside...

Tada! I watercoloured some blossoms for a fun surprise!!

The mechanics from the side.

I fussy cut the flower pots, watering can, jar and trowel from the paper.  On the heart I used Nuvo glitter but from this angle you can see the shine.

Cuttlebug Mania What's In A Name? Challenge

Hello and welcome here!  We celebrated Canada Day here yesterday and boy was it a scorcher, but at least it didn't rain and we sure enjoyed the fireworks!!  This week at Cuttlebug Mania the Challenge is called What's In A Name?  All you need to do is use something on your creation that starts with the letter of your first name.  My name is Deneen, so I could use dots, doilies, doughnuts, dies, Dew Drops, dark pink paper...we're pretty flexible so use your imagination.

Challenge - What's In A Name
Use something that begins with the letter of your name.
For a chance at winning an awesome prize, link your creation over at Cuttlebug Mania.
Don't forget to let us know how you used your Cuttlebug!

Card Size:  4.25" x 5.5"
'D' items used:  Dress, Dots & Designer Paper
I just recently picked up the Spellbinders Border Sets - Scalloped, Wavy & Bracket, so of course I have to use them:)  I love the different options available with them.  My card is straight forward, I kept it fairly simple so that it wouldn't overpower the pretty dress.  After I cut out the Opulent Oval I embossed the next smaller one onto it, it adds interest without drawing your eye to it.  I embossed the bottom portion of the card with Cuttlebug's Swiss Dots embossing folder.

Inside:

Recipe:  PP-My Mind's Eye Lost & Found 2 Blush "Sweet" Bouquet Paper, Bazzill Mono CS-light pink, medium pink & dark pink, Bazzill CS-cream & burgundy, CTMH Ink-Black, Memento Ink-Angel Pink, JustRite Clear SS-Just The Right Words, Verve Stamps SS-Wishing You, Kaiser Craft SS-Flutter, Spellbinders-Opulent Ovals, A2 Filigree Delight, Decorative Dress Forms & A2 Scalloped Borders 1, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots EF, Foam Squares, Pearls.

It's Not Easy Being Green

Hello, and welcome here. If you grew up with the Muppets you'll recognize my Post Title, it refers to Kermit the Frog. Which come to think of it, may be why green is my favourite colour...and frogs my favourite animal:) Nope, I'm not kidding, I love frogs!

I wasn't finished playing around with my JustRite stamps. I CASE'd (Copied And Stamped Exactly...or almost exactly) this card from pg. 70 Card Creations: Favorite Occasions v.2.

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

I picked up the new Bo Bunny Garden Girl 6x6 Collection and knew that it would be perfect for this card. The lace I had was a little to light, so I used Distress Inks to darken it. It's difficult to tell, but I added Platinum Stickles around the edge of the oval.

Inside:

Recipe: CTMH CS-New England Ivy & Colonial White, CTMH Ink- Topiary, Black & Desert Sand, CTMH SS-Eclectic Edges & Celebrate Life, Inkadinkado-Expressions, JustRite Stamps-Heart to Heart Set, Light Green Textured CS,Distress Inks-Antique Linen & Tea Dye, Nestabilities-Oval, Lacy Ovals & Labels 18, BoBunny Garden Girl 6x6 Collection, Cream Grosgrain Ribbon, Cream Lace Ribbon, Pearls, Stickles-Platinum, Foam Squares.

Hope you're enjoying your Labour Day! Tomorrow it's back to work for me, and Wednesday it's back to school for the kids.

JustRite Card and Flower Tutorial

Hello and welcome here! I have a card made with JustRite stamps that I wanted to share with you today. The idea for this card came from Stamp It Techniques Winter 2011, pg. 12 by Vanessa Menhorn. I wanted to use my scrolly JustRite stamps and when I saw Vanessa's card I was inspired. (I tried to find an online photo of her card, but had no luck...the issue was out this past spring.)

Card Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

I love that this card is sort of like a chameleon...it's elegant enough to be used as a Wedding Card, or soft enough to be used as a Sympathy Card...even a Birthday Card.

I changed up the colours from the original card (cream and green), and used burgundy and white. I clear embossed the center scrollwork stamp and sponged Distress Inks-Pumice Stone to bring out the embossing. Using the same stamp, I used Pumice Stone and 2nd generation stamping around the edges. I coloured white pearls with Copics RV99 to match my ribbon.

I didn't have the right flower colour for the card, so I ended up making one from scratch. I have a tutorial below to show you the steps of how I did that.

Inside:

Recipe: CTMH CS-White Daisy, Textured CS-Burgundy, Distress Inks-Pumice Stone, Black Soot & Victorian Velvet, CTMH SS-Universal Backgrounds, My Mind's Eye Stamps-Lost & Found Two, JustRite Stamps-Heart to Heart Set & Kindness, Inkadinkado Stamps-Expressions, VersaMark, Clear Embossing Powder, Paper Leaves, Burgundy Satin Ribbon, Pearls, Copic RV99.

Here's the flower I had on hand but it was not the right colour. When looking at it, I thought I could come up with something similar.

Here's the card again to show you the flower. I ended up using my stipple brush to ink some colour onto it because it was a little too white. It would have been best to ink my flower before making it:)

Challenges Entered:

Simon Says Stamp! - Anything Goes
4 Crafty Chicks - Celebrate
Charisma Cardz Challenges - Anything Goes
