Hello my name is Jessica Baker, a wife, a mother of three beautiful children and living in the Mid-West. I have worked in the Administrative field since my senior year in high school.

I've always dabbled in art since I was able to stand but never realized how important art is in my life. At 24, I handmade my cousins QuinceƱera invitations and my journey started. I love all types of materials. I currently find myself in altered designs and mixed media. Steampunk has a special place in my metal heart. I enjoy inspiring others to think outside the box.

I am currently an independent designer making great changes that I hope to share with you in 2015.

If you like this little creation hop on over to my link

Hi there, this is Maria and today I want to share a very cute project I created. I am the mom to three Purrfect cats – they seriously changed my life... they made it better. I decided to make some fun craft projects about cats. This one I share with you today is for my office and I will be making a lot more to sell and raise money for an organization that works hard to care and find homes to homeless cats and kittens.

I had this really cute cat figure made out of wood in very nice bright colors, and I thought it would make a great mold. I also I had this tiny picture frame that measures 3.15" x 1.85" that I received from a Secret Santa gift exchange last year and thought it would be fun to mold and use in my crafting projects. It was fun to combine the two creating something unique.

The final result...  this precious, tiny desk decoration! I do have quite a few, one more will not hurt. Please click here to visit my blog "What is Creativity..." and see all the details.

A Picture Purrfect Little Treasure!

Hi my name is Maria Soto, a single mother of three wonderful young adults that make me happy to be a mom. I’ve been working as a project administrator in the construction business for over 20 years.

About 15 years ago I started making my own jewelry. I love to use all different types of materials and products to make all different types of jewelry; such as stamping with inks and paints, resin, fabric, polymer clay, paper clay, etc. I have also enjoyed learning how to make all types of crafts. I would say my style has changed over the years; I love the mixed media concept. Almost everything I create is a one-of-a-kind; I don’t like to make the same thing over and over again, is just not my style. I love to create in a way that allows me to be free to express my creative mood as I feel it.

My blog represents what I love to create, here is my link stop over and check out my work http://chuy-creativity.blogspot.com/ or my facebook page http://www.facebook.com/ChuySoto

I’m currently a CHA Designer Member. I’ve been the project designer for LIMIRI, LLC for over two years, and currently a member of the Amazing Crafting Products Creative Team. Last year I was a part of Craft Critique’s product review team and also the Featured Crafter at Think Crafts.

This time of year has me thinking of the colors of summer, be it nature, clothing or food is always so vibrant. Which also gets me thinking about going to the beach, having a BBQ or throwing a party for friends and family. One of the aspects of having a party or BBQ is that someone is bound to spill a drink. While many find it an annoyance, I decided to use it as a inspiration for my challenge. I started with using polymer clay to create the central pieces. Once I made those I molded them and cast resin pieces as my necklace base. With a second pouring of tinted resin I created the spilled drink, ending up with a fun and funky necklace to wear to the next party. One of the the really fun aspects of this project is with a simple change of dye used with the resin you can create any spilled drink you would like!

"Two for Tango" Mixed Media Canvas

I am a mixed media artist, craft product designer and owner of Art Resurrected, an indie art company. I live in sunny Southern California with my husband and menagerie of animals. I had always loved drawing, dancing and wearable art even as a child. When young and fickle I didn't know if I wanted to be a fashion designer, comic illustrator or archaeologist. As an adult I have had the amazing luck of working with clay, jewelry, illustration, museum replicas and product design and development in the art/hobby industry. Nature and Ancient Art are my top inspirations. Sometimes just watching the sun rise, rain drops or the wind moving leaves gets me sketching something. With a love of art, travel, museums, cooking and an animal conservation I am always busy.

I am currently a proud member of Amazing Crafting Products design team.

One of my favorite things to be challenged with, is color. It's amazing what a little color can do for your creativity. This challenge was so much fun for me, and I was immediately drawn to the interesting and contrasting palette. I began my art journal page, by using Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft paper crafting pencils, in peach and orange, and making circles using a template. I added other circles using Faber-Castell Aquarelles, and painting over them with water. I loved the ethereal watercolor look so much, I used watercolor on the rest of the journal page, adding splashes and drips. I did quite a bit of stamping, and added a photo of my red bud tree in glorious bloom. Since our family is moving, this is the last year I will get to enjoy my beautiful tree, so I wanted to keep that memory. Here are a few close-up looks at my journal page.

Thank you to Susan for having me as guest today
at Anything But A Card Challenges!!
This has been a real treat! <3

I am a wife to my best friend from college, and the mother to three daughters. I live in a tiny town that sits on a lake, on the prairies of Kansas, USA; but our family will soon be moving to Des Moines, Iowa. I am employed both as a church soloist (I am a classically trained soprano), and also a librarian. Other than my amazing family, the thing I eat, sleep, and breathe is mixed media art and craft. I adore creating scrapbook layouts and canvases, tags, and altered projects with an eclectic, free, and soulful vibe.

In the time when I’m not creating, I also enjoy photography, sewing, reading, thrifting, swimming and snorkling. Most days, I also spend at least a little time planning, journaling and dreaming, about relocating to Oahu, Hawaii; my favorite place on earth.

I am currently honored to design for 7 Dots Studio, Viva Las VegaStamps!, UmWowStudio, Scraps of Darkness kits, and Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo. To see more of my work, visit my blog: www.sparklinggnome.com.

My background is a mix of Distress Stains and Gelatos, while I have used a punched flower border strip and a striped paper to add further interest before layering on my main Easter Collage Images, my sentiment and finishing with a bunny brad. A little about our Guest Designer Danie May...

I am a stay at home foster mum and part time carer for my mother with Alzheimer's who lives with hubby and the rest on the family including 3 fur babies residing on acreage in the beautiful Northern Rivers Area of NSW Australia. I have always been arty crafty following in my father's footsteps and partaking in everything from flower arranging to wood turning. When I discovered paper-crafting about 12 years ago I found something that would become a passion. Starting out as a stamper/card maker I now dabble in all things mixed media, and have more recently started to paint/draw in a number of mediums as well as finding a enjoyment for photography particularly of birds.

I also love to share what I do and am grateful for the wonderful people I have met along the way of my creative journey. In October 2013 I took over the running and editoral of Unruly PaperArts which is a collaborative blogozine featuring articles on all things mixed media and papercrafting and I am honored to currently be a Design Team Member for Altered Pages and Cards in Envy.
