Is there anything better than two companies combining their
amazing products? Today I am thrilled to be part of a joint venture by Prima Marketing
and Faber-Castell! Not only do these products work perfectly
together, but they provide wonderful platforms for inspiration and creativity as well!
And here is the layout I created of my beautiful Abigail using products from both :) :
Here I used the Metallic Gelatos (Metallic) and blended with water along the edges of the patterned papers and doily, as well as filled in the grooves of the resin corner pieces. I also combined the Color Gelato (Blue/Green) with Gesso on the corrugated cardboard serving as background to the photo, and spread some additional Gesso over the alpha letters in the title to give it a dreamy feel. :) Finally, since I was also adding in pops of bright pink throughout the page, I used the Pitt Artist Pen in Magenta to accent the feathering of the butterfly wings which gave it even more dimension.
Here I used the Color Gelato (Blue/Green) and blended with water on the background patterned paper to add a watercolor-like feel to specific areas.
Here I used the Mix & Match Pitt Pastel Pencils (Neutral) to shade in the butterfly wings and canvas flower, as well as highlight portions of the dark branching. I also used the Art Grip Aquarelle Watercolor Pencil (Green) to deepen the green of the flower stem. Finally I 'sealed' it all with the Glaze. Handwriting done with the Pitt Artist Pen in Green Metallic. :)
Here again I used the Pitt Artist Pen in Magenta to outline the flowers in the patterned background paper, and also added a bit of color to the petals of the fabric flower to give it more 'pop'.

ReplyDeleteHi AnnaMarie - you left me a comment about the Bench Cushion I made (http://adventuresindiy1759.blogspot.com/2011/11/bench-cushion.html). I couldn't respond to you via email because it shows you as a no-reply, so I'm hoping you'll see this.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure exactly what type of foam it is and there was no brand name, but I got it at Joann and they come in long, green sheets. I took mine to the cutting counter and told them how many yards I wanted and they cut it for me. I hope that helps. :)
