I haven't blogged in AGES!!! And I miss it! I miss the privacy of writing whatever I want and not having to worry about who is going to read it (now that blogging is not a thing anymore and no one checks the blog). I miss the detailed documentation of my life. I need to start recording more and this is my first effort in getting back into my journaling.
Life is so busy and time feels to be speeding up. James is turning 4 next month and it makes me want to cry. He's growing up so fast and I am really going to miss having a little in the house. I love our time together. I am trying to enjoy every single minute of it, knowing that before I know it, he'll be heading off to real school with his siblings.
As for now, - January 2020, our schedule is as follows:
7:15am Everyone awake, getting ready for school
7:50am Family prayers and big kids off to school
Mon/Wed - James has preschool from 12-3pm
2:30pm Everyday I leave home by 2:30 to pick up kids from school
Monday-Friday Madi has swim team from 4:30-5:30pm
Tuesday afternoons from 3 - 4:30 pm we have piano lessons
Wednesday Madi and I have YW's, every 2nd and 4th Wednesdays Elle and Cal also have an activity
Thursday we leave straight from school pick up to violin lessons. We get home about 4pm.
Friday Madi swim team and Elle volleyball (Lava Lite).
I love our schedule and I love spending time with my kids.
I am not a big fan of play dates and prefer to just have my kids come home after school.
When Spencer is home and not traveling, he's usually home by 6pm. We eat dinner and then have scripture study. This year we are studying the Book of Mormon and I am loving our nightly readying and discussions. I am very grateful for Spencer's knowledge of the scriptures. He helps all of us to understand it better.

Time goes by so fast! Don't blink! It was just yesterday Mom and I were running you kids all over with school and sports and music. BOOM! everyone is all grown up! "Cat's in the Cradle"

On a whim I decided to check your blog and was happily surprised to see your update! isn't it crazy to think of what our days were like just a couple months ago, pre-covid?! I think you need to post an updated daily schedule. I fully support the revitalization of your blog. I miss your posts!
I'm working on making our 2008 blurb book, and seeing that's when we first met and were in DC together. It's also when I followed your, Lis B's and Krista's example and started our blog. Remember when blogs were soooo in :) Anyway, thought I'd leave a comment here as a fun blast from the past that may make it to your inbox or not. We love the Jenkins!!!
