Cinnamon Champs

Last night, Lee and I participated in the Cinnamon Challenge...

and we came out VICTORIOUS! During our mutual activity which was about language, the Teachers put together a Cinnamon Challenge. The point of the challenge is to swallow a teaspoon of cinnamon with out throwing up. Sounds simple right...NOT. The moment you pour the cinnamon into your mouth, it dries up all of your saliva and it tastes like a tablespoon of Devil's Spit. If you ever participate in this challenge a word of advice - DON'T COUGH! The actual cough is not bad but the inspiration of breath that follows the expulsion of air is a killer. It causes a chain reaction and you cannot stop! I was coughing and blowing cinnamon everywhere, but I did manage to swallow the majority of the spoonful. Lee on the other hand, he made the challenge look like swallowing a spoon full of Splenda! He did not cough, did not blow any cinnamon out of his mouth. Way to go Lee. I hope Paislee is enjoying Cinnamon flavored milk, because I am sure there will be a hint of cinnamon for days to come!

One a more productive note, I have made some progress on my quilt!

All of the pieces are cut out and ironed the right direction. All that I have left to do is to sew!

The plan is to work on it again a week from Wednesday. I get together with a few ladies from the ward and it is a lot of fun, and I am learning a ton!

This is what each block is going to look like, They are 3D pin wheels.

I have decided that I am going to have to decorate my living room around the colors of the quilt when I have a living room to decorate! One day in the not so distant future this may become a reality, YEAH! Just waiting on the renters to fix up the house and let us move in, there is light at the end of the tunnel!
