MFTWSC301 - Are you Yeti for Christmas?

Hi all!  Here is my take on the MFTWSC301 sketch using the most adorable Yeti stamp set by MFT.  I got the set and dies from Butterfly Reflections Ink - thanks to their SUPER fast shipping, I was able to play with this set today!  I created masks for the trees and Yeti's, then stamped everything in kraft hybrid ink.  I heat set it then colored everything with Copics. For the background, I masked off a snowy hill using an element from Blueprints 25, then used Blu Raspberry, Blueberry and Grape Jelly inks for sponging.  For the circle part of the sketch, I cut out some vellum using the Stitched Mini Scallop Circle STAX so it didn't take away from the scene I had created.  I then curved a sentiment to match the die also from Blueprints 25.

Get well soon

Hi all!  Here's a card I made for the MFT sketch challenge as well as the current color challenge.  I totally adore this new BB Magical Dragons stamps set.  I colored him and the princess with Copics.  I sponged a piece of smooth white card stock with some Range Distress Inks, then used the an element from Blueprints 29 to cut it out.

You're the coolest

Hi all!  Here's a card I made for the latest MFT Sketch Challenge - MFTWSC291.  I used the super cute BB Penguins in Paradise stamp set.  I colored both images with Copics - how about that yummy looking drink?!  Everything is layered over a sponged background.  The sentiment is embossed with white EP.

Hello Beautiful Girl

Hi all!  Here's a pretty Clean And Simple card I made using the Beautiful Girl stamp set from MFT.  I stamped her with MFT's hybrid ink then heat set it so I could use my Zig pens and aqua brush to color her.  I used the current MFT Color Challenge for the coloring.  I curved the sentiment, from the same set, around her to allow me to keep this card simple.  :)  I used Blueprints 29 to cut her out, then layered her onto a sour apple card base.  I added some sparkle with my clear Wink of Stella pen to her wings and the butterfly in her hair.

MFT Sketch Challenge Guest Designer - MFTWSC287

Hi all!  Here is my last card as MFT's Sketch Challenge Guest Designer.  I sure do love MFT and am sad this month as their guest designer is over but also so VERY grateful that I had this opportunity!  :)  Thank you, ladies, MWAH!!!  You know I love y'all!  Here's my card for MFTWSC287 using the new PI Fun in the Sun stamp set and die-namics.  I colored her with Copics.  I stamped the sentiment onto one of the Blueprints 29 elements then added a heart, also from Blueprints 29.  The Fresh Squeezed Chevron designer paper was cut out using the Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX.  The card base is Lemon Drop.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Don't forget to check out the MFT Sketch Challenge Blog for loads of inspiration from the design team!

Beach, please

And by that title, I mean, 'take me TO the beach, please!', lol!  Hi all - Here's a card I made for the March SFYTT by Reverse Confetti using some RC goodies.  :)  I used the Pineapples Aplenty stamp set and matching confetti cuts.  The pineapple is layered over some RC quick card panels (it's out of stock) and was cut out using the Woodgrain Confetti Cuts - one of my faves from RC!  The other DP is from that pretty On Trend 2 paper pack - yummy!  Some glittered YNS gumdrops add a little extra sparkle.

Celebrate

Hi all!  Long time, no see ;)  I've just been busy with life and work, you know how it goes!  Anywho, here's a card I made using the previous Color Throwdown Challenge colors.  I inked up the MFT Garden Flourish BG stamp with a few Ranger Distress Inks, spritzed it lightly with water, then stamped it on shimmer card stock.  The sentiment is from an older MFT set.  The scallops were done using an element from the Blueprints 9 dies.

Merry Christmas

Hi all!  I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend.  We are dealing with lots of ice and freezing temps, so I spent some time in my craft room.  :D  Here is my loose interpretation of the latest MFT sketch MFTWSC256.  I broke out an older Christmas set, I believe it's called Ornament Builder, and paired it with a sentiment from the newer set, Hand Lettered Holiday.  I love this color combo for Christmas cards!   I added a few sequins and cut out the main layer with an element from the Blueprints 13 dies.

Can't thank you enough

Hi all!  Happy Thanksgiving!!!  I thought I would make a thank you card for the occasion :D  I used Wispy Wishes and a sentiment form the From Us set.  And yes, that's a strip of torn vellum behind the sentiment strip.  It adds a little something extra to the card without adding bulk.  A great Clean And Simple card that can be easily reproduced.  Use different stamps to fit the occasion and change the sentiment for tons of options!

Thank YOU for stopping by!  I hope you are having a wonderful time with family and friends and have LOTS to be thankful for!

Peace, love and pumpkin pie!

I hope Santa spoils you rotten

Hi all!  Here's a card I made just for fun - sometimes I just cannot pass up a good sketch challenge!  :)    I had the watercolored part already done and sitting on my desk.  I cut out the angled strips and the stars using elements from Blueprints 25.  The presents and sentiment are from the BB Santa's Elves set.  Some sparkly twine adds a little something extra to the card.  This is for the MFTWSC254 sketch and also the MFT color challenge 33.  It also fits the Paper Players PP271 challenge.

Hello, Friend

Hi all!  Here's a card I made for a two challenges - CTD361 and MFTWSC247.  I first watercolored my background with two Ranger distress inks (twisted citron and mustard seed), then cut it out with the four way chevron cover up die-namic and layered it over some primitive white card stock.  I thought these gnomes could use some love, so I colored up this guy from the You Gnome Me set with Copics.  The sentiment is also from the set, except that I had to selectively ink up 'Friend' from one of the sentiments to go along with the 'Hello'.  I stamped them on one of the Blueprints 1 elements ( I used this one quite a bit!).

Hip Hip Hooray!

Hi all!  Here's a CAS card I made using the new It's My Party stamp set from TAWS.  The turtles in this set are SO stinkin' cute!  I colored him with Copics, then fussy cut him.  I had to add some red polka dots to the present he's holding.  ;)  A few red gumdrops add extra detail.  The sketch is the CTS139.

Hello, Sunshine

Hi all!  Here's a card I made for the latest MFT sketch challenge, MFTWSC243.  I miss the plumeria tree we had in the front of our house in Hawaii!  Seems soooooo long ago!  I created the background by stamping one of the images from BB Polynesian Paradise, then colored everything in with my Zig pens.  I used one of my square STAX to cut the inside of the black frame and the large square from Blueprints 12 to cut out the main part, which allowed me to make this a 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 inch square card.  I stamped the simply circles BG onto the lemon drop card base, then inked the edges with lemon drop ink.  I used the stitched strip from Blueprints 1 (which is my go-to for sentiment strips, it seems) to cut out the primitive white card stock then added my sentiment.

Warm wishes & sunny smiles

Hi all!  Here's a card I made for the MFTWSC242.  I colored the Blissful Blooms with Copics, then fussy cut (don't have the matching die-namics yet).  The chevron background was created with the large chevron stripes stencil except that when I sponged them with grout gray, I only sponged from the top of the stencil rather than fill in the entire stripe.  I used my oval STAX to cut out the center then sponged lemon drop ink onto the edges of banana split card stock.

Happy everything

Hi all!  Here's a card I made using the TAWS Penguins on Parade set - except I made my penguin a baby chick, hehe!  I colored him with Copics then fussy cut him.  I created the background using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens.  The sentiment was embossed with sea foam white EP.  The sketch is from the FMS200, just turned upside-down.

May all your birthday wishes come true

Hi all!  Here's a card I made for the MTWSC239 sketch challenge and also for Lydia's Dare to Get Dirty challenge.  If you don't know what I'm talking about, head over to SplitCoastStampers and check it out!  I sponged two distress inks - peacock feathers and ripe persimmon - onto smooth white card stock.  I then took the MFT Garden Flourish background stamp and spritzed it with water.  I then took the sponged card stock and layer it on top of the dampened background stamp and pressed down all over the card stock so it would soak up as much water as possible.  The layer you see is the finished (dried!) result!  Love the subtle flourish images that came through!  I then stamped the white circle layer with the same image using Blu Raspberry ink that I had stamped off once.  The sentiment is from the BB Birthday Bears set, as well as the little present that I colored with Copics then fussy cut. I love that MFT's Tropical Teal card stock coordinated so well with the peacock feathers distress ink AND that their persimmon card stock matched the ripe persimmon distress ink!  I also had some enamel dots that matched as well - score!

Happy Birthday

Hi all!  Here's a card I made using some new MFT goodies for their color challenge MFTCC25.  I embossed the abstract background stamp in clear EP and used various distress markers and water to color it in. I used used the Blueprints 26 {love!} to cut out the balloon and the two words!  I also cut out 'happy' from some adhesive fun foam to add dimension to it. The balloon is also layered on some fun foam.  A little twine and done.  :D

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!

Celebrate

Hi all!  Here's a card I made CTD350 and also as an entry for the Paper Smooches guest designer search.  I couldn't pass up this new set by PS called Best Buds.  I colored everything with Copics using the colors from the Color Throwdown challenge.  I then fussy cut the image, added glossy accents to the jar and also added an extra flower and set of leaves.  The sentiment was embossed with white EP on the black card stock layer.  I added a few clear gumdrops to highlight the sentiment.  The scalloped layer is insulation pink and the card base is pink lemonade.
