Citrus fresh

I am still going with the easter boxes. I have made this one to join the guys over on Cute-card-thursday and the theme is citrus colours. I have gone for green as Limes have to be my favourite citrus fruits.

I have made an easter acetate box for Heather to take to school for her friend. If you would like to have a go Susie McCormick has put a great tutorial on Split-coast-stampers that you can follow.

The image is one from High hopes that I have adapted to make it suitable for easter by just adding an easter egg. I would have loved to use one of the new high hopes easter stamps but they where to big.

It is hard to see but I used a vine rollagraph and mica powders from Imagination-crafts I will post alittle bit more about these tomorrow.

Materials used:

Acetate

Stamps: High hopes

Coloured with copic pens

Congratulations

What a weekend. I finally managed to get some time to post my cards. I have made these cards to celebrate the first anniversary of the Cute-card-thursday. They have a lovely sketch to follow created by Katharina.
Over on a-spoonful-of-sugar they would like to see gems on your card. I am probably guilty of that on most of my cards I think lol. So I am joining them with this first card as the second has faux pearls.
On this first card I have gone for a pink and black theme which is just so now, at the moment. Simple layering of papers which I got from the SECC. The Gorjuss girl is coloured with the inkadinks from imagination-crafts. These stamps are so nice to work with, they always look great can't wait for the second set.
For this second card I have used a couple of magnolia stamps. As soon as I had seen these stamps I wanted them. They can cover so many special occassions in life. I have used them for an anniversary card. Maybe a pearl anniversary with all the faux pearls on.
I have created the tag by using a plan brown tag and a couple of the smaller rollagraphs and mica powders from imagination-crafts. I can't get enough of these and wish I could afford them all as they have some stunning designs. I used a different roller to give the detail to the circle alsoThis time the couple are coloured with my copic pens. The papers are from K&co . I just love the earthy tones, another hit with the DH.

  • Thank you for stopping by.
  • I love reading the lovely comments that you leave and visiting your blogs.
  • I have been struggling lately with my internet as it takes forever for the pages to come up. Rather than blog hopping its more like blog crawling with a hangover on the Monday after a big weekend, lol.

special blessing

What a week. Its been busy, busy. I have some to share and some not yet as they are for something special. Today my DH and YDD have set of to see his mum as it is her birthday. So 420 miles to travel with lots of snow on the way even though we haven't got any where we are.
Anyway enough of that and on with the card. The image is by Hanglar and Stanglar they make some gorgeous stamps. I have coloured it with destress inks for a change as he is on watercolouring paper and they work well on that. I have used K&co papers and colouring flowers to match. On the Cute-card-thursday challenge blog they would like to see metal on your project. I have used metal for the flower centres and a metal charm that is threaded with real pearls also on the front.
I have joined the guys on the Sukkersott challenge blog who would like you to make a valentine gift.
On the inside of the card there is some bling going on. I found a verse and cut it to shape with the nestibilities. Stamped some swirls with some inkadinkado stamps, glittered and added some crystals with the odd some flower here and there. In the middle is a chocolate heart.

Worlds best goose guide!

I have made this card for a friend of ours that takes my other half out shooting. I am using it for a couple fo the blog challenges. Over on High-hope-stamps challenge blog they would like you to make a mans card no flowers allowed and on Cute-card-thursday they would like you to create a scene. I started with a concertina card and made the background with a magnolia stamp but didn't stamp the heart that is on it. I chalked the sky and the hills in. The High hope stamp Hunter rick is so cute and I have made a card with a similar theme before. The goose is a clipart that I have coloured in. Photos are not that great still trying to work on lighting.
The title is made with my around the block press.
Materials used:
High Hopes Hunter Rick
Magnolia Tree
Around the block Tape press and tape
Coloured in with copic pens.
Background created with chalks
Thank you for looking and hope it doesn't offend anyone.

lilac haze

I have made this card for a lovely lady that I have met through our business. It will be her 60th not that you would ever think it she looks so young.
I have followed the sketch on a-spoon-full-of-sugar challenge blog which is michelle this week. I have also used lilac which is the challenge on cute-card-thursday.The background paper is by K&co. The paper in the panels I have had for years, I glitter one panel to add abit of bling to the card. I coloured the image with my copic pens. The flowers are by prima, I hung a heart from a spacer for the centre of one flower and on the other large flower, I used a hatpin with beads I had to add another detail.
The other embellishment is a pearl button with a brad stuck in the middle.
I have double stamped the sentiment, once in metallic lilac and once in black to create a shadowing effect.
Stamp: Hanglar and stanglar
Papers: K&co
Flower: Prima
Coloured with copic pen

Christmas with love

I got this Imaginisce paper at the weeking and was itching to use it. I have followed the sketch on Whiff-of-joy blog created by Heather.
You may notice it has a snowflake or 2 on the card. I am also joining the guys on Cute-card-thursday there theme this week is Snow/snowflakes.
I have used the Imaginisce paper as the inspiration for the colourway of the card. The other papers are of course K&co I bought a box of papers that cost £15.99 for 150 sheets of 12x12 and I am loving them.
I have used the Cuttlebug folders with the one across the middle I have picked out the snowflakes with my versamark pen and chalked it to colour them. With the Snowflakes folder that I used for the longer mat I used a pearl glaze to highligth some snowflakes and glittered the others.
The snowflakes are cuttlebug also. I glittered them and added jewels to give abit more bling.
The image is of course a Whiff of joy stamp, I have replaced the flowers on the trousers with snowflakes to help make it more festive.
The image is coloured with prismas and copics. I used my copics on the hair, skin and to add shading to the jeans after colouring them with my prisma pencils.

family gift bag

The challenge on High-hope-stamps this week is anything but a card.
The challenge was set by Nikki check out her blog its great, grab a drink and pull up a chair and have a browse.
The challenge on Cute-card-thursday is starry night. The paper I have used has stars all over it.
I got a paper bag yesterday with my shopping so I put it away just for this. I used a stamp pad to colour the handle to match. Made 2 panels, punched some holes for the ribbon pulled it through. Made a bow and attached it with the brad to secure the label also.
On the back of the label I put the greeting. Coloured the image with copic pens, made the background with distress ink. Hope you like it.
