"Cold Nose, Warm Heart"

Yeah, meet my ever beloved body guard in my car, he thinks he can drive too:)
shhhh, he's taking a nap...
so tired from the office barking at anybody:)
Jakey in my husband's car... making the seat warm, lol!
Did you know that he was such a chick magnet when he was just a pup? A used to borrow him when he goes to the beach just to attract some hot girls, lol! He was so adorable that even our next-door neighbor will visit him every once in a while to play with him:)

Wordless Wednesday "Christmas Party & Exchanging Gifts"

We did have a blast last Saturday at Rick’s party. There were around 50 people and some kids. I was trying all the wine but my goodness; I just can’t stand any of it, hahaha! I don’t drink and so I was a little tipsy after trying all those wines they got, lol! It’s amazing how I was able to mix in the crowd, sort of mingle and talk. I mean, it’s not the usual behavior of me towards strangers. Some of them I’ve already met and known since the previous parties. I just love the atmosphere and all the people that I have talked to were all so nice- makes me feel more home, hehe.

Wordless Wednesday "Happy Thanksgiving"

I asked my husband what are the 5 things that he’s thankful about. Here’s his answer:
1. Happy Family
2. Financial Success
3. Happiness
4. Great Health
5. Great Weather (‘twas raining when I asked him the q & we just badly need rain)

Well, those were great answers! Here is mine:
1. Great Health
2. Happy Married Life
3. Serenity
4. My family in the Philippines is in good health.
5. I love my job.

There are a lot of things that I’m so grateful about and I make sure I do that everyday. To remind myself how small I am and how a simple prayer of gratitude to my Creator can make Him happy. And I will always be His humble servant:) Happy Thanksgiving!

Wordless Wednesday "Meet The Driver"

Yeah, I know- he’s cute and stupid, right? Lol! He just loved sitting in the driver’s seat everytime we leave him in the car. Most of the time, people will give comments or drop by at him and he just think it’s too cool, hahaha! He always looked so serious though as if he knows what he’s doing :)

Wordful Wednesday "Life Shared"

"This is our moment. This is our time - to put our people back to work and open doors of opportunity for our kids; to restore prosperity and promote the cause of peace; to reclaim the American Dream and reaffirm that fundamental truth - that out of many, we are one; that while we breathe, we hope, and where we are met with cynicism, and doubt, and those who tell us that we can't, we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit of a people." -President-Elect Barack Obama's Acceptance Speech

I'm so grateful to have witnessed the Historic election here in the US. I wished him well and I hope and prayed he won't end up like Lincoln, JFK, Martin Luther King or any big icon who ended up legends and just became larger than life.

Wordless Wednesday

It was a fine afternoon and we’re driving down the hill (few blocks from home) when we saw these 3 deers. They probably had lived the area long before the houses were built and it’s very amazing to see them around- meaning, the place still offers them no harm at all.

Wordless Wednesday

We were on our way to go window shopping for more furniture in the dining area when finally Jim saw Payam’s garage is open. He’s a neighbor who happened to be our Dentist. He’s such a busy guy who travels a lot to give speeches about Invisalign and Laser technology and owned 2 clinics (1 in San Diego). It’s just hard to catch this guy and so when Jim talked with him in the garage, he saw this costume for his wife’s (Shadie’s) baby shower. He thought he was being funny and showed it to me while waiting inside the car and yap, there you have it- the camera girl is always ready, hahaha!

Wordless Wednesday

Not-So Wordless Wednesday

My husband went to Expo after dinner to look for some lamps and I just stayed home to get some dishes done. We agreed to meet at the Yogurt place and so I took Jake with me. When I arrived, Jim chuckled. When asked why- he said we both look so funny inside the car. Me driving the green bug with a doggie sitting in the front seat who looked bigger than me and having such a serious look, hahaha! I thought that was funny too! Well, here’s me and my good doggie, Jake. Nope, I’m not choking him… I told him to go look at the camera, hahaha!

Wordless Wednesday

Somebody sent this in an e-mail. This is kind of sad picture and I felt bad for the cat. When I was still in the Philippines, it's very common to see such scene in the streets. People never cared much about animals. My friend just lost their dog a week ago and was so disappointed when she was crying and telling her friends what happened. All her friends were not sympathetic at all and worse, they just laughed at her. I know, it's rude but perhaps with the cultural differences- I don't blame them. They definitely don't know what they're doing.

Wordless Wednesday

Oh, I can't help it:( Sorry, I just terribly missed these foods, yum! I'm so hungry and knowing that I can't eat that "kinilaw" or a raw fish soaked in vinegar, ginger, hot chili and lemon. Geee, it's mouth-watering! My friend in Indiana had tried that though with Tuna and mayonaise, hmmm.... I wonder how it taste like:) She said, it's okay, hahaha! Oppps, sorry, I forgot it should have been a "Wordless Wednesday". I should have kept that food away from here, lol!

Wordless Wednesday "More Summer Escapade"

Although our dog, Jakey doesn't like the river adventure...still, it was so fun taking him:) It's just a little bit amusing how a doggie is so scared at the water while some other dogs just loved it! Some even stayed on the front of the boat...hmmm, wonder if he realized it's moving, lol!

Wordless Wednesday "Boracay 15 Years Ago"

The Enchanting Paradise of Boracay! Yes, it is still a best place to stay for a vacation. Its white, soft- sandy beaches had charmed the world and a million of tourists to keep coming back. Jim told me he never seen any other beaches like Boracay. You can walk on the sand with barefoot without a problem. It's like walking on carpet.

Wordless Wednesday "First Trip to River"

Jake is just too terrified to go in the water. He's even more scared when the ride gets bumpy. I never really thought some dogs can be real scared with water. All I know is that they love swimming that there's even a stroke named after them- "doggy-style". Hmmm, that was strange. Oh well, I can relate as I can't swim good either, LOL!

Not-So Wordless Wednesday

My sister-in-law, Cindy sent this video clip to us. I thought it was really cute that I decided to post it in my blog:) Quoted from her e-mail:
"Great video. When I started to play this video, Roxy came running. I played it for her two times. She sat on my lap and stared at the video. Pretty amazing. I used to work with the person in the video that is singing." Well, you tell me... what you think about it? Here it is:

Don't you wish your kids are as easy as that?
