Intel i7 2600K Sandy Bridge Processor 3D Mark 2011,Vantage,2006 Benchmark

Hi guys, recently I upgraded my pc platfom from AMD Phenom II X4 to Intel i7 2600K. Although in reality my previous setup still performs very well on most games like BattleField 2, Call of Duty BlackOps,Dirt3 and a lot more, I decided to change it so that I won't upgrade anymore( I hope so..lolz).

Lets take a look a brief introduction Of Intel latest processor the i7 2600k. (credits from bitech)
Intel is calling Sandy Bridge its second-generation Core architecture, which is wrong. The first Core-branded CPU was a laptop-only CPU based on the Yonah architecture of early 2006, followed by Conroe and its mobile equivalent Merom, which was sold under the Core 2 brand. Ignoring the Conroe update that was Allendale, manufacturing process shrinks of Wolfdale and Penryn, and the Core 2 Quad CPU designs, Intel should have realised that Nehalem counts as a new architecture.

What's New in Intel's Sandy Bridge

Intel has beaten AMD to be the first CPU company to integrate a GPU into the silicon die of an x86 processor – it managed to integrate a GPU into the processor packaging for its Clarksfield-based Core i3 and Core i5 CPUs. We expect AMD’s Fusion combined CPU-GPU chips early this year, with desktop parts available in mid-2011.

Sandy Bridge uses a ring bus to connect its sub-units.
The Intel GPU in question is a significant update from previous Intel HD graphics, with enhanced gaming, video playback and GPGPU capabilities. It’s available in two flavours – the Intel HD 2000 and the Intel HD 3000.

The interesting aspect regarding the graphics unit is that it shares the ‘last-level’ cache (LLC) of the entire die with the CPU execution cores. Intel’s Shared Cache technology has worked incredibly well for it over the years.

There’s a big pool of Level 2 or 3 cache, and any CPU can reserve any amount it requires, therefore making that cache work as efficiently as possible. Allowing the GPU to tap into this shared resource is a logical step, but it required a radical rethink of how processing units access and address it.

In the end, Intel has implemented a ring bus, and not even an Intel Ring Bus Technology®, which is an odd move for a company that loves to brand anything and everything that it creates.

A ring bus controller polls each unit in a looping sequence, accepting or offloading data as it progresses – if the GPU requires data from the main memory (via the processor cache), it will have to wait until the CPU cores have been served first, before sending that request to the System Agent unit, which can pass it onto the integrated memory controller.

So enough for this very complicated explanation. I try  benchmark this processor to see how powerful it is. Check it out.

AMD Latest FUSION Platform featuring MSI A75MA-G55 with AMD A8 3850 Vision

AMD got the first Llano-based desktop APU, the A8-3850 which can completed with an A75-chipset based motherboards. Matching an A-Series APU and A-Series chipset results a perfect Fusion which also called "Lynx" platform. Here, we conduct some test of MSI A75MA-G55 and AMD A3850 on how well it perform on today's applications and games.

MSI A75MA-G55 - one of the first A75 AMD Chipset that MSI has to offer. The board will support the new AMD A-Series CPU which has an integrated GPU with socket name called “FM1” (905-pins). A75 would be the high-end single chip solution capable of handling these 3 main features - Six SATA 6GB/s connections, four USB 3.0 and eSATA Port Multiplier (allows to connect more than one hard drive to a single SATA port).

MSI N480GTX Lightning Edition Twin Frozr III (NVIDIA GTX 480)

The card and its very huge packaging box.

Today's technology where rapidly changing so fast and almost every week there's a lot of new hardware release especially in computer industry.Few days ago I purchased this monster card(MSI GTX 480 Lightning Edition) as a replacement on my previous graphic card (ASUS GTX 460 Direct Cu 1Gb DDR5). I can say that MSI built well because every component of this card where all military class type (MSI trade mark for high end components on motherboards and video cards).  This graphic card composed of dual BIOS, DIP switches and has three voltage measurement socket which later I'll show you. Ill try to run several games like Need for Speed Shift 2, NBA 2K11, Lost Planet 2,Starcraft II and Crysis 2 whereas this games run smoothly on maximum settings with 16X AA.
One more thing I'll like on this card was its  power management. We know the GTX 480 consumes a lot of power but MSI built a very good power profile whereas the clocks of memory and GPU automatically adjust as low as 50Mhz on GPU and 75Mhz on memory( nice work MSI).

This card measures approx 11 inches long.

MSI Philippines Event 2011 (SM North Edsa - Annex)

I've been  waiting this event to come for so long and at last it's finally here(clap! clap!). Actually, this a 3 day event (May 20,21 and 22)but the first day was my target date because it's all about rig show competition. On its first day, contestants will display their customized computer CPU and visitors have a chance to vote once which they think the best among of those rigs.
( from tipidpc.com MSI forum)

Day 1 (May 20): Rig Display Contest - PC Modding : Case mod by Rig Noobies, United Modders, and more. Vote for the best rig on display.
Day 2 (May 21): Master Overclocking Arena – Overclocking Contest - Marshalled by TipidPC: Cheer for your fav overclocker.
Day 3 (May 22): Face-Off With The Fnatics! - A Gaming Challenge - Open invitation to TPC Gamers to play against Three of the world’s best: Sen (Starcraft 2), KyoChi (COD), Strenx (Quake Live)

So that's it, I went there during lunch time to check the event.(actually i didn't took my lunch just drop by a couple of minutes there because I need to get back at the office before1pm.,hahaha!). CPU's customized casing shown were really amazing so i decided to took some pictures of them (sorry for crappy pics - cellphone camera used only..:) ) and here it is:
