Hello!
There is a super challenge going on over at the MFT Card Challenge blog. I've been watching the awesome entries loading over the past couple of weeks and kept thinking, "I should sit down and enter this, too." And then it came to today, the first time I've had two seconds spare, and I only have two seconds to go before the challenge closes! Well, two hours, but it FEELS like two seconds, haha!
I used my usual super-CAS style to come up with this card. I used MFT Complimentary Greetings and Stitched Circle Frame dies.
Today is a happy day for me. Today is the 16th anniversary of my marriage to my darling. We've spent 22 amazing years together, filled with heaps of fun and joy, interspersed with the usual challenges that a partnership (and kids) brings. :-)
Thanks for visiting!

CAS(E) This Sketch 107
Hello!
It's the last few days of school holidays for my kids. School returns next week, Tuesday for the big girl and Thursday for the little one. I have next week off work to settle them into their new routines. I might even help them find their classrooms. ;-) The big girl starts high school. I'm pretty sure she wants to find her own classroom, lol! The little one MIGHT let me walk her to the classroom on the first day, but I'm pretty sure that will be the only time. Such independence!
So to the reason I'm here today - I bring you a literal interpretation of the sketch for CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge again this week. I had a set of dies from MFT that were just perfect for the sketch. I had ideas of inlaid die cuts but this version was my favourite. :-)
Thank-you for visiting! I hope I'll see your beautiful work in our gallery this week!

MFT Challenges - sketch and colour
Hello!
With Susan Opel leading an awesome team of designers on the newly launched MFT Challenge Blog, I couldn't resist joining in the fun. I will admit that my stash of MFT products is very limited. I think I own one stamp set (which I couldn't get to work with these challenges) and two little die sets (flowers). That doesn't mean that I don't love MFT, it just means that my limited budget has not allowed me to buy all that I love (yet). But, I wanted to join in anyway, and so here I am! :-)
My first card is for the sketch challenge.
I used Hero Arts Bicycle stamps and dies, Memory Box Puffy Clouds, Mama Elephant Femme Frames and Banner, and MFT Die-namics flower. Whew! That's a collection of product for one little card!
My second card is for the colour challenge.
These cute little bugs (Clearly Besotted Build a Bug) were another present from my secret santa. They're so sweet!! The sentiment is PTI Ballerina Beauty.
Because the bugs are new, I'm joining in with Darnell's NBUS Challenge, again (2nd entry). :-)
Thanks for coming by to visit!

Edit: Because Ardyth tells me this card meets the definition of "attractive opposites" (white/black, red/green), I'm entering into One Layer Simplicity as well! :-)
I've been enjoying my holidays, being able to relax and play with my craft and art. I'm back at work on Monday, and I really would rather stay home! ;-) The kids have another two and a half weeks of holidays before school starts back. They get to stay home with Dad having fun while I toil away in the City. Thanks for coming by to visit!

Tuesday Trigger: Pretty Little Petits Fours
Hello!
Today's card is for Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger: Pretty Little Petits Fours.
I used MFT flower dies, and PTI Square Prints dies and Woodgrain impression plate. Colours are PTI Vintage Cream, Melon Berry, and SU! Blush Blossom. The silver frame came from a shopping bag. ;-)
This was the inspiration photo.
I've hurt my back. I was vacuuming and I picked up the rug and vacuumed sideways, twisting at my hips. Never a good move. The upshot of my telling you this is that I'm having a hard time sitting for any length of time. Not good for my crafting or blogging time. :-( I hope the anti-inflammatories work quickly (it's the third day now).
Thanks for coming to visit.

For Your Inspiration #28
Hello!
It's time for another challenge over at For Your Inspiration! Yay! Steph's chosen another super photo to get your creativity flowing. Take a look.
I chose to use the colours as my basic inspiration, but you also have that amazing sky and the grass fields, and I could go on...
This is my card.
At this point, I will admit that the purple layer was originally supposed to be on the bottom, to mirror the photo. But, in the effort to get my letters to line up and lay on the card correctly for die-cutting, I forgot about the orientation of the card, LOL! I was quite happy with how it turned out, so I have left it that way. :-) This card is again inspired by Ange Kelly with the flowers and stripes and negative die-cut.
I used MFT Die-namics for the flowers. I used PTI block alphabet for the sentiment. I used PTI impression plate canvas/linen. Card is SU in crumb cake, perfect plum, lavender lace, apricot appeal, and old olive (I think that's what they are). No stamping at all, that's unusual for me!
Thanks for popping by. Why don't you go and visit the rest of the DT to see what they came up with, too?
