I couldn't wait to play with the Lovely Silhouettes set from The Greetery and decided to make my first card using a distress oxide blend.

I recently found out that I got another position teaching at our local college! I will be team teaching another University of Victoria course in the teacher education program. This course is the first year seminar course in preparation for the first teaching practicum in the program. To celebrate, I just HAD to make a card for my new teaching partner!

Today I finished putting together some cards for my cousins (and some for Lane & Meadow) to congratulate them on their new homes. I used the stitched square frames dies from Close To My Heart to set my scene and then used papers and cardstock from Lawn Fawn.

My parents got the keys to their new home today in our city! We are so happy that they will be closer to us soon. To celebrate, I went into my craftroom this morning and put together this simple card.
It is the one year anniversary of Lane & Meadow opening and I wanted to celebrate my sister-in-law's accomplishment with a card made especially with her in mind. I decided to use a sprig of eucalyptus from The Greetery to represent her 1 year. I made a matching envelope with a smaller sprig of eucalytpus, too.
After having spent the weekend in Banff and traveling through the gorgeous Banff National Park and Kootenay National Park I felt that I just had to take this set out to recreate some of the breathtaking colours and scenery I took in. One of my good friends got engaged this summer and I have been wanting to make her a congratulations card. I decided this would work best on a horizontal card and played around with the colours a bit to get it just right.

This congratulations card could be used for many different occasions this time of year...graduation, wedding, retirement...and more! I enjoy creating versatile cards that are more open-ended and can serve for a variety of occasions. I decided to use some reds to colour up this beautiful spring bouquet this time. I was having a hard time photographing this card so I added in some black cardstock as a backdrop to help the card pop more. I just LOVE this Lawn Fawn woodgrain cardstock - so pretty!
