Googly Treats
Back as promised with another Halloween idea! I designed these little treat bags for a class I taught for some ladies from my church. Since some of the ladies are new to stamping, I wanted something simple.
I started by stamping the images from the Googly Ghouls stamp set. (As a side note, this is possibly my favorite Halloween stamp set ever, the more I use it, the more I love it! It may even beat out my previous favorite, the Sweeter Treaters stamp set from years ago.) After stamping I used my Extra-Large Oval punch to punch out the stamped image as well as the coordinating colored oval that goes behind.
Then it is a matter of layering everything together and adding the adorable googly eyes. I used dimensionals between the Designer Paper and Oval layers. I added the fun size candy bars to the cello bags (this is the 3" by 5" size that is no longer available) and then used a little Snail adhesive (and the card stock on top too) to keep the bag closed.
Very simple! These are actually so simple and quick to make that it wouldn't be hard to make them up for a whole class of children.
Stamps: Googly Ghouls
Ink: Basic Black, Cajun Craze and Daffodil Delight markers (to color the witch)
Paper: Wild Wasabi, Basic Black, Whisper White, Frightful Sight DSP (discontinued)
Accessories: Googly Eyes, Extra-Large Oval punch, dimensionals, cello bags, candy

Ghoulish Bags
I'm finally back from my unscheduled blog-break! I have a couple Halloween projects that I want to share with you--before Halloween. :-) I made up these little bags for my club members for our October meeting using the Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit.
From the kit I used the bags, the baker's twine, and the 'back' of the circle tags. I started by running the bag through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. For the tag, I used the Monster Munchies stamp set. I inked the stamp with Pumpkin Pie and then used a blender pen to remove some of the ink from the spider web inside the "O". Next I used my Basic Black marker to color in the spider web. Finally, I stamped and then punched it out using the Extra-Large Oval punch.
I'm also planning to make a few more of these to use as teacher gifts and to give to some ladies from church that I visit each month. Oh, and inside the bags is a mix of M&Ms, cashews, and a candy corn/pumpkin mix.
I'll be back later this week with another Halloween idea!

Stampin' Celebration #59
It's October 1st, and that means it's time for another Stampin' Celebration challenge! Once again we have another awesome inspiration piece. Something I really liked about this one is all of the different textures. . . felt, ribbon, leather, wood. . . So as I went about making my projects I tried to add a lot of texture.
The colors I picked were Going Gray, Poppy Parade (a discontinued color), and Baja Breeze. I used the Monster Munchies stamp set and put together a little Halloween party ensemble. To start it off, here's the invitation:
This is a simple pocket card. This doesn't 'fold' anywhere though. . . it is two piece of 4 1/4" by 5 1/2" Going Gray card stock. I scored one of them at a diagonal and then ran it through the Big Shot with the Houndstooth Embossing Folder. I didn't glue either side of the pocket closed. The ribbon keeps the left
side closed, and the right side of the pocket is open--making it easier to get the inside slider (with party info) in and out.
The cups are pretty simple. I stamped with Going Gray ink, use a marker to color in the outside ring, added the googlie eyes and ribbon, and then adhered to the cup with dimensionals.
And last but not least, the plastic ware holder was made using the Petite Pocket die. I just ran it through the Big Shot a second time with the Houndstooth Embossing Folder and then put it together as you usually would.
I used the Faux Suede technique on all of the Baja Breeze card stock I used in these projects--since I was going for lots of texture. If you aren't familiar with this simple technique, you can see another sample and ready about it HERE.
Now it's your turn to be inspired and play along with us this month at Stampin' Celebration! You
have until October 25th to create a card, 3D item, digital item,
scrapbook layout, etc. using the inspiration piece above. Link your
creation to the Stampin' Celebration blog so we can see your project. We will choose the "Pick of the Party" at the end of the month. We can't wait to see what Stampin' Celebration inspires you to create!

Ghoulish Page
Today I have a fun 12x12 scrapbook page to share! I had fun using the new Googly Ghouls stamp set to create this page. The only 'trick' to this page is that I placed the mummy, witch, and Frankenstein stamps all on the "I" block together (I have this set in clear-mount). I inked them all up with Versamark and stamped the Tangerine Tango card stock. Having them all on one block together makes it very quick to stamp a large area.
A close up of a few of the cute little ghouls from the Googly Ghouls stamp set with their googly eyes. The eyes are adhesive-backed making them very easy to add to your project.
This tag actually comes from the Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit:
Hope you enjoyed!

Monster Munchies
Isn't this a cute little Halloween treat? This was an idea that was shown on stage at Convention, and I thought it was too cute to pass up. :-) This box is fun because it actually uses the Petite Purse die. So you are use the purse die, but upside down.
For the 'tag' part it's basically just layering the punched pieces. I thought the idea of using the black brads for the screws on Frankenstein's head was such a cute idea! I also used some of the new 1/2" Striped Satin Ribbon.
I added some M&Ms since the Halloween candy wasn't in stores yet (when I was looking before our club meeting in August). I have to say I'm actually a little relieved--it seems like stores are usually so far ahead in putting out holiday merchandise!
Stamps: Monster Munchies
Ink: Basic Black
Paper: Gumball Green, Whisper White, Basic Black
Accessories: 1/2" Striped Satin Ribbon, black brads, Petite Purse die, Chevron Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Scallop Square punch, 1 1/4" Square punch, dimensional

Stampin' Celebration #24
It's Thursday and time for another Stampin' Celebration challenge! I loved all the pumpkins in this picture and especially those cute guys up in the top left with the masks. Too cute! I'm going to try to remember them when we are carving pumpkins in a few weeks. :-)
I created this fun little 'pumpkin' not only for the challenge this week, but we also made this at my Holiday Stamp A Stack. This is the Mini Milk Carton die with Pumpkin Pie card stock.
To create the 'face' I took the idea from Sheila Thibault over on Stampin' Connection (a Stampin' Up website for demonstrators). I later found Sheila's blog--see HERE. Lots of cute Halloween ideas in that post! I started by using the 1 3/4" by 7/8" Oval punch to punch just the edge of my card stock--this creates the top of the mouth. Then I used my 1 1/4" circle punch to punch the bottom of the mouth. Next I used the Spiral Border punch to create the teeth. The eyes come from the tips of the Extra Large Star Punch.
To finish off my little pumpkin I added some sponging in Basic Black, a Library Clip from the Clips Assortment, some Old Olive grosgrain ribbon, and some curled Old Olive paper. To curl the paper, just wrap it around a pen, paper piercing tool, etc. The paper holds its curl surprisingly well!
Thanks for stopping by! Make sure to hop on over to Stampin' Celebration to see what other fun projects the Design Team has made this week!

Spooky Treats
As you can see, I've had fun playing with my new Candy Wrapper Die to create some Halloween treats. :-) This die is a new one that can be found in the Holiday Mini Catalog. This fun die is the perfect size to hold a small handful of candy or other small gift. To give you an idea of the size---the overall width of the box is almost 4 1/2". The 'box' part measures 2 1/8" by 1 3/8".
There are a couple of things that I love about this die. First, it is sized so that you can get two boxes out of one sheet of 8 1/2 by 11 card stock. Also, other than the one strip of adhesive you will need, the box actually holds itself together. The ribbon on the ends are purely for show, they don't need to be there. :-) I did find THIS video by Barb Mulikin to have some helpful assembling hints.
Starting with the top box, I used Rich Razzleberry for the box, and the stamp set Wicked Cool. I stamped the spider webs on the box (before I assembled it!) and used the 1 3/4" by 7/8" Oval punch and Scallop Oval punch for the sentiment. The ribbon on the ends is the 1/2" Raven Lace Trim--also found in the Holiday Mini Catalog.
The next box is Pear Pizzazz and uses the Wicked Fun Specialty paper. The sentiment is also from the set Wicked Cool, and the bat comes from the new Bitty Bat punch. The ends are tied off with Basic Black grosgrain ribbon.
The box on the bottom is Basic Gray. I used the Spider Web Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, and we found at my Big Shot class that is best to fold along your score lines and then run your box through the Big Shot with your Embossing Folder. The sentiment is from the stamp set Teeny Tiny Wishes, and is punched out using the Word Window Punch. The 'spider' on the web is one of the Black Flourish Designer Jewels from the Holiday Mini, and again I used the Raven Lace Trim.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you've enjoyed these Halloween Treats!
