Chevron Rug Love
Are you as happy as I am that today is Friday? My week has been full of client meetings and design work which has kept me busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. It's not exactly work when you love what you're doing!
Speaking of love, if you follow me on Twitter (which you should :)), then you know that I scored this rug on a St.Patty's Day sale for 50% off! I impatiently patiently awaited its arrival and voila'. It showed up a couple days ago and it's exactly what I hoped it would be. This rug is a million times better than the old food stained, dog hair covered, frayed rug. Just saying'. Momma is happy! Now, the dog better stay off!

Spring Rugs
With blooms in full force why not bring the vibrant colors inside with a new rug. Rugs are an easy way to add color and pattern to a space without breaking the bank. Here are some rugs that are bright and cheery.

My New Rug
Remember I blogged about purchasing a chevron rug for 50% 0ff? Well, it came rather quickly, but I've been dragging my butt on posting pics of it. Originally it was for the game room, but I decided to try it out in the living room because the current rug looks like a bunch of muddy feet stomped on it. Well, it just wasn't jiving with me or the hubs, so I stuck to the original plan. Upstairs it went! The quality isn't the best out there, but it serves the purpose and is exactly what the room needed. Here it is:
The room is still a work in progress and I'm not ready to show it off yet, so here's a sneak peek.
Since this rug didn't work out in the living room, I've got my eye on a different one. I'm working up a plan to show you soon. And tomorrow I'll show you my IKEA lamp transformation thats going in there too. The shade I had that was just so perfect didn't fit. Bummer. I have an idea though. Come back tomorrow and see.

My New Kitchen Rug
My new kitchen rug came in that I ordered from Dash and Albert. It's the Diamond Light Blue/Ivory Indoor/Outdoor Rug. The price for the 2x3 was $38. This rug is a total upgrade from my Target rug. Now don't get me wrong. I do love Target, but the rug just wasn't working in that space. It was the wrong color scheme and too thick. It know lives on the back porch. Perfect actually for out there. Lily can stomp her muddy, wet feet all over it.
This new rug really brightens the space and looks classy. A similar, larger one might have to be ordered in the future for the master bathroom. For now, my Bed Bath and Beyond rugs will suffice in there.
