White with one - Orange Blaze

Yes, another hour, another challenge..
just blogging about it now, whoops!

White with one is such an great way to challenge yourself,
to balance white and just one colour
and get another photo scrapped for an album - hooray!!

The colour for November is

Anyone that knows me,
knows I love copper,
and orange is pretty close..
well, not really but it's an unusually colour that some people find an extra challenge,
so this is what I did...

I added the title
Grateful
this young fellow is growing up quickly and is destined for greatness,
he will learn along his journey to be grateful for the unique way he sees the world xx

I started with a white cardstock and stamped some Paper Rose cogs with orange archival ink,
I found some jigsaw puzzle pieces in a couple of different sizes - some had orange ink, some crackle paint, some a bit of both!!
Finished up with a couple of metal cogs, a felt circle and a mini Kaisercraft wooden frame.

Thank you for looking,
Alison xx

White with one challenge - August 2018 - Sunny Yellow

Hello!!

It's been awhile since I've had some 'spare' time to do some challenges...
so,
I made some spare time!!

We had a spare page at the shop,
and I found some spare Imaginarium Designs chipboard,
I gathered some spare bits and pieces,
and added some spare Sunny Yellow (well, really a mixture of Seeded Mustard Oxide & Distress)

Celebrate Today

I've had this cute photo of our great nephews and niece for some time in my stash, and I liked the contrast of the yellow with the blues in the photo so I am pleased I found some spare time to scrapbook this memory for our Niece's family album!!

Thank you for visiting,
Alison xx

ps, all products available at my favourite store, The Crafty Chain

White with 1 - Orange Peel - March 2017

Just made the March 31st deadline!!
Wow, where is this year going?
Apprantly, I'm having too much fun!! lol

I have a subscription to
The Resin Rainbow
and for $10 (inc postage!)
you receive a bunch of matching embellishments,
mostly hand poured resins (Thank you Janet)
and I try to use ALL the bits on my page...

First Glimpse.... Happy

Image may contain: 2 people

Starting with a sheet of white cardstock, I sprinkled a little of Lindy's NEW Shaker Magicals - always a bit of random fun!!

No automatic alt text available.

The Resin Rainbow's March kit included various materials which I have mounted my photos onto - the orange spot super wide washi framed the top and bottom and then a paper straw and resins were layered.

No automatic alt text available.

I added my favourite chipboard Imaginarium Designs - a 'First Glimpse' title and the 'Happy' from a birthday set - these were inked with the Distress Oxide ink to match - I dripped a little water too, can you see?

No automatic alt text available.

You might think I've included all of the resins, but no... I have heaps still for another project, or two?

The cute little baby is our niece Samantha's Mason - he is almost 2 now and just became a big brother to Hunter a couple of weeks ago!!

How lovely and swirly is the Imaginarium Designs chipboard title!!

No automatic alt text available.

The mystery pack of resins included the cute camera and a bunch of cute little critters which I added here and there. I also incorporated the chevron felt piece, made into a banner and the little flag at the top - Janet always includes some coordinating embellishments to add in the pack as a bonus!!

Photo is our Niece's son Mason - she is due to have another baby any day now!!
