My home office is a work in progress. Now that I'm starting a
little business in the next couple of weeks, I'm trying to get things organized and make things a little more functional. My office is also the first room you see when you walk in our house so it has to be somewhat tidy all the time. When you work from home, I feel it's important to surround yourself with things that will inspire, especially if you do something creative.
Here is a peek into part of my workspace.
I like pops of color so I tried to keep the main pieces neutral and then add in pops of color and pattern throughout. I have to have a calendar in my office and this one from
Rifle Paper Co. is my favorite. It was also the color inspiration for my whole office.
I picked up this russian matryoska doll in St. Petersburg Russia last summer and keep it as a reminder of the great time we spent out there.
Lamps.com graciously gave me one of their
pablo pixo lamps to try out. I love it because it doesn't take up too much space, charges my phone, and has a bright and dim light setting; perfect for when I stay up late working on projects.
Here are a few fabrics I designed that will be part of my shop opening in the next couple of weeks.
I splurged a little on this chair only because I consider it one of the more important parts of an office, plus I couldn't resist the stripes:)
