We're having so much fun getting ready for Christmas. I love this time of year. We're going out to Utah this year and are so excited. We fly out on Christmas Eve and get to stay for about a week and a half. Can't wait!
Here we are decorating our Christmas tree. This is Brooklyn's first one. :)
We were asked to be in the Christmas program for our ward. So last night we played Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus. I was worried that Brooklyn would not cooperate, but in the end there was nothing to worry about. She fell asleep right as we got on stage and slept the entire time. Everyone was very impressed with how well she did. One guy even said he thought we had a doll up there. It just worked out perfectly and we had fun. The program was great; the music was beautiful. I was glad we got to be a part of it.
And these are a couple of pictures from today. Brooklyn just looked so pretty in her dress (and Jeff so handsome in his tie) I had to take a picture.

Five Months Old!
Friday, December 3, 2010
July - November 2010
Here's a bunch of pictures that pretty much sum up the past 4 1/2 months:
Mom and Deanna came out for Brooklyn's birth. While we were waiting for her to arrive, we decided to see some of the sites around DC.
This is the last official belly picture I took, a few days before my due date.
Here she is! Brand new and beautiful. :)
Getting ready to go home...
Definitely one of my favorite pictures of her. She was only 5 days old here, so we were excited to get this smile on camera.
Christina (my sister) came out to visit about 2 weeks after Brooklyn was born. So fun!
1 month old -
We sent a birthday card to my dad, and put Brooklyn's hand print in it. We made a little bit of a mess, but the hand print turned out pretty good.
She loves playing with her daddy.
haha
I made Jeff some brownies for his birthday. Apparently I didn't wait long enough before putting the candles in...
2 months old -
Reading a book with daddy.
All of Brooklyn's grandparents were able to make it out for her blessing. Jeff's mom made Brooklyn's blessing dress, and she looked so pretty in it. We loved having our parents out here with us for a little while.
This was my dad's first time out here, so it was fun showing him around a little bit. We drove around and saw the monuments, and took all of our parents to the International Spy Museum. It was pretty fun. :)
I think this is a great picture of mom and dad:
3 1/2 months old -
We're trying to not let her make this a habit:
haha She spit up, then rubbed her face in it. She looked so happy about it, we had to take a picture.
Halloween. Jeff and I used the same costumes from last year (the queen from Snow White and the magic mirror), and Brooklyn was Tinker Bell. I know Tinker Bell doesn't go with Snow White, but I kind of waited til the last minute, so that's what we got. She still looked so cute. :)
Carving pumpkins. We let/helped her stick her hands in it.
This was on my birthday. So cute. :)
4 months old -
Brooklyn and I went to Texas for Thanksgiving, so the next several pictures are from that trip. She did so good on the flight there and back, especially considering how long the trip was.
Here she is with my dad at Deanna's basketball game:
With Grandpa (her great-grandpa):
The last night we were in Vidor, at Jacob's basketball game:
Back home! We took this picture right after she had cereal for the first time. She did so good!
