We haven't had a whole lot going on lately to update on. Jeff's been helping me a lot with my school work. Writing papers is pretty much all we've done the past two weekends, and I spend a lot of my time during the week on it also. We're aiming to be done with my last class in the middle of November. Wish us luck!

Happy Anniversary!
This past Sunday, Jeff and I celebrated our one year anniversary. We weren't able to take a big fancy trip, but the day was absolutely perfect.
First of all, Saturday morning Jeff left the apartment before I woke up and spent about an hour driving around the area trying to find a flower shop. When he got home he surprised me with 2 bouquets of flowers: a dozen roses and a spring-type bouquet with lots of pretty colors (I love getting flowers). He told me, "I was going to just get the roses, but I couldn't help it cause.. I love you." He's so sweet. :)

Saturday night we went to see a movie (Harry Potter). It was our first time to go to a movie theater together since we've been married! Jeff's only seen the first Harry Potter movie, but there weren't a whole lot of other movies to choose from. So on the way to the theater I was trying to fill him in on what happens in the four movies he hasn't seen yet, but I think I just confused him even more. He was a good sport, though, and says he still had a good time.
On Sunday, we had a nice picnic dinner out near the Washington Monument. The food was great, the weather was perfect, and we saw the president's helicopter land on the White House lawn. It doesn't get any better than that! ;)
When I woke up from my nap, I found this little setup on our table.

Jeff noticed this little grove of trees one day while he was running. It was perfect for our picnic.
We couldn't really see the president, but it was still pretty cool.

I accidentally snapped this picture of him when he wasn't ready. I thought it was cute. :)
After dinner, we just took a walk around this beautiful pond. It really was so romantic. We found a place to sit and talk, and just enjoyed being together before heading back home.
I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful husband. I'll be forever grateful that, almost two years ago, my roommates invited this "cute guy from the ward" to our apartment for games. My life's just gotten better and better ever since! Happy anniversary, Jeff!
