Prima Cartographer Accordion Card.

Hi, Angela here with the last of my projects using the gorgeous Cartographer pad, stamps and paper flowers.

Started by die cutting the map page and matting and layering the chosen images.

And here it is:

                                                                   The Front Cover.

The Inside Front.

The Back Cover.

The Back.

I used the stamp to decorate the back of the chosen paper using distress inks.

The card was made using the Accordion die by Karen Burniston for Sizzix
and is usually available here.

Everything else was part of the Prima Cartographer paper set.
I also used some of the gorgeous flowers which are available as part of the collection.

Although I have already made several things, I still have about half the set left which shows how much value you are getting for your money.

I hope I have inspired some of you to have a go at producing something with these papers, you will not be disappointed.
I have enjoyed them so much that I now plan to use the new Seaside set for my next projects.

Happy Crafting,

Prima Cartographer Scrapbook Page.

Hi Angela back again and I am here to show you the next project I've been working on, using the Cartographer papers and stamps.
Here is a reminder of what I used and they are available at Ali-Craft.

For this project I decided to make a scrapbook page.
These papers lend themselves so well to this type of project and
here is the finished page.

To make this:
  • Prepare a 12"x12" piece of card to mount everything on to.
  • Attach your chosen 12"x12" background paper and edge it with distress ink.
  • Choose a suitable photograph to use as a focal point and mount onto card. I actually layered this with card and cork sheet.
  • Cut out all the elements to be used. I like to lay everthing onto the page before attaching anything and when I am happy with the layout, I put them in order on the table ready to go.
  • Once everything was attached I outlined some elements with white or black pen and added glaze, some of the stickers from the pad, 3D Dome Stickers and punched out snowflakes.
  • The sentiments are from the set and so are the letters used to make up the title at the bottom of the page.

I just think these paper pads are great and excellent value for money. I made five different products with the pad and still have loads left over.

Hope you enjoyed this week's project and I will be back again next week with something new.
If you have any questions relating to this project or the set, just leave me a comment and I will get back to you.
This was quite a lengthy project and I do have other photographs showing construction here.

Happy Crafting,

Angela x

Prima Cartographer Pop-up Box.

Hi Bloggers, Angela here to show you how I used the Cartographer set that Ali sent me.
This is a fantastic set of 16 papers although these are more like card, 1 type and sticker sheet, 1 journalling spot sticker sheet and 2 ATC card sheets. Ali also sent me the stamp and flower embellishments you can see below.
All of these are available here.

For my first sample, I would like to show you the Pop-Up box card I made.
These have become very popular at the moment and they do work really well with these papers.

This shows the card closed and flat.

And here it is open.

To make this card:

  • First I cut out the basic shape for the box by resizing the 12"x 12" sheet to make it A4.
(If it helps I have an instruction sheet available for this card.
You will need to open it, to see it clearly).
  • Next, I cut out the images that I would use to decorate the box sides and flaps.
  • The balloons where cut out and attached to thin strips of acetate so that when they are fixed inside they appear to be floating above the box.
  • I also used several of the sentiment stickers around the box and the flaps.
  • The Pediment at the back was made using a Tim Holtz die, Ali has these here.
I just love these papers, the quality is excellent and there is so much included in the set.

Hope you have enjoyed this project and I will be back in a week with the next sample.

Happy crafting,
Angela x
