Residents celebrate Valentine's Day at newly installed covered court

Residents of Lower Binogsocan, Guinobatan spent their Valentine’s day, 14 February 2015, at the recently completed covered court in Lower Binogsacan Elementary School.
Congressman Fernando V. Gonzalez (left) and Municipal Councilor FJ Oxales (right) lead the ribbon cutting ceremony during the inauguration of the Covered Court at Lower Binogsacan. 

The blessing and inauguration of the new structure was graced by Congressman Fernando V. Gonzalez together with local government officials including Municipal Councilor FJ Oxales, Lower Binogsocan Barangay Captain Charlie Maravillas, and Lower Binogsacan Elementary School Principal Mrs. Mercedes Botial.

The recently completed Covered Court served as the venue for the Valentine's Ball 
The construction of the Covered Court at Lower Binogsocan began in 2014 under the General Appropriations Act of 2014. Congressman Fernando V. Gonzalez in coordination with local government officials prioritizes the construction of covered courts in the 3rd District of Albay to serve as venues for community activities. Likewise, covered courts serve as temporary shelters for evacuees during calamities.

LTO District Office now operates at Ligao City

With its new convenient and safer location at Sta. Cruz, Ligao City, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) District Office is now open for transactions to continuously serve the public. Clients can now experience a wider parking space near the LTO Office while employees can offer better services in a new spacious venue. 

The office is also established in a strategic location which makes it easier for vehicles to travel back and forth. 

LTO District Office is now located at a more convenient space at Sta. Cruz, Ligao City.
In front of the LTO Office is a wide parking area for clients.
Last December 2014, LTO began its operation soon after the office has been transferred at Ligao City from its previous location at Guinobatan, Albay for continuous transaction. The district office is set to be inaugurated this January 2015.-Lala PeƱafiel

Albay Third District builds covered courts in different communities

Covered courts serve as venues for community activities such as workshops, seminars, sports events, recreational activities, and other community gatherings. This gatherings makes for stronger community ties and social development leading them to reach common goals.

Furthermore, covered courts also provide shelter for evacuees during calamities. Through the efforts of the local government units in the Third District of Albay and Congressman Fernando V. Gonzalez, the construction of covered courts in different communities was made possible allowing more people to benefit from the facility.

Featured in this article are some of the covered courts that have been constructed and currently under development in the different communities in the Third District of Albay

Upcoming this 2014, under the General Appropriations Act, are covered courts to be constructed in Itaran, Polangui, Lower Binogsacan at Guinobatan, Libon Agro-Industrial High School, and Pioduran Municipal Grounds.

Albay Third District hanging bridges: connecting sitios and barangays towards development
