I'm really delighted that one of my favorite tv shows, Bones, is back tonight! The hiatus has been so very long and the cliffhanger was so completely exciting that Bones fans have been looking forward to tonight's episode with barely contained excitement. If you're already a fan then you know what I am talking about.
I do hope this "change in the game" does not throw the show's magic off. In some ways I'm sad that we won't get to see the actual development of the relationship beyond what we have always seen. Brennan and Booth were essentially always a couple but while they behaved like a couple, I am sad we do not get to see their first kiss as a couple or date or that sort of thing. We have always seen them relying on each other as one would expect from a committed couple but there is a difference when they are holding back and doing so as just friends rather than as a couple in love. Perhaps we will be surprised with flashbacks. Please.
I do have faith that the show's magic will continue. I think, for the most part, the relationship has played out in a near perfect way.

Marcus Foster IN Seattle!
I'm really excited that one of my favorite boys, Marcus Foster, will actually be performing in Seattle! When he finally posted the tour dates I was really glad to see he wasn't missing our corner of the country. He will be in Seattle on 7 December, at the Vera Project, and in Vancouver, BC, the following night, supported by Blue Roses at both venues.
I have been blessed to see Marcus perform live 3 times (and 1 other time when he played a bit of guitar for Sam Bradley) and I will never forget it. He's the most amazing live performer I have ever seen. I can't really describe why, though. Perhaps because he just puts it all out there on stage and never stops moving or using his voice and the guitar in different ways. Just phenomenal. He's also a lovely guy.
Marcus will be at the Vera Project in Seattle, a non-profit, all ages performing arts place which supports children's music programs. Tickets are ONLY $9 for an unbelievable night of music. Please come and invite all your friends who live in the Seattle area. Honestly, Marcus is unbelievable. Please come. More details HERE and tickets on sale HERE.
Please visit Marcus' MySpace to hear songs, watch videos, see pictures, and more.
Here's a video of one of my favorite live-performed songs, taken by my friend Tara (I was there!!!):

Bobby Long returns to Seattle!!
One of my favorite, favorite, favorite singer/songwriters, Bobby Long, is returning to Seattle on 19 November and I cannot wait! He'll be performing at El Corazon, an all ages show. Tickets are $15 and available HERE.
Bobby's a very talented singer/songwriter/musician and his lyrics are more like poetry than most music today. That's one of my favorite things about his music. He tells stories with his songs and the passion and intensity of his love for music always comes through. I have seen him live 6 times and I don't think any number of live performances will ever be enough. Plus, he's an absolute sweetheart with a fabulous sense of humor.
Please come see Bobby Long live at El Corazon in Seattle, 19 November 2009. Seattle local Christina Cramer is one of the opening acts. More details HERE.
Visit Bobby's MySpace for more information, to listen to songs, and more!
Seriously, COME!!! He's AMAZING.
Here's a video of one of my favorites, taken by my friend Evie, the first time I saw Bobby perform live:

I'm Addicted . . .
. . . to this video/medley.
"Penance Fire Blues" has always been one of my favorite Bobby Long songs, especially live. He's begun adding "In My Time of Dyin'" on to the end and it blows me away. Especially this live version.
The video's absolutely gorgeous as well and you can't look away from that passion and intensity. Watch it and tell me you aren't a fan of someone who can sing/play music like that.
Bobby's amazing. You should see him live . . .
And come visit us at The Land of Dreamers to learn a lot more about Bobby!

Sam Bradley's EP is AMAZING!
So, last week, I planned to post new Sam Bradley EP posters every day, but I ended up going to Seattle with my cousin.
Saturday was a big day for one of my favorite musicians, Sam Bradley; It was his 23rd birthday (Happy Birthday, Sammy!) and the release of his first ever EP. I got mine as soon as the download was open. And I LOVE it.
Sam's EP can be found at www.SamBradley.com. Six amazing songs and a beautiful, bittersweet video (his 1st official video). I HIGHLY recommend it. Only $10.00 at the link!
The songs are:
1. Sea Blue (the song in his first video)
2. Eugene/You-Gan (love the sound!)
3. Derek (this is the song from which we at The Land of Dreamers got our name. So special to us. Thank you, Sam!!!)
4. Pretty Boy (such a fabulous sound)
5. Passport (hahaha, oh, Sam)
6. It Begins (this one gets stuck in my head)
Please go have a listen and tell everyone you know about Sam Bradley. He's an amazing singer/songwriter and a lovely, friendly person, as well.
I was blessed to finally meet Sam this past summer in Dallas, Texas. He gave me the biggest hug ever. When you talk to Sam you know he's listening because he has this intense stare focused only on you. He's hilarious. He's talented. He's adorable. And he's going to be big. So get the EP now and you'll be able to say "Remember when . . ."
You should go RIGHT NOW to www.SamBradley.com and get Sam's EP. Then go to Sam's MySpace and become friends with him. And don't forget to follow him on Twitter at @samueltwitt1. He's hilarious.

Happy 108th Birthday!
If Edward Cullen from Stephenie Meyer's Twilightwere a real person (hmmm, real Vampire), he would be 108 years old today. So . . .
Happy Birthday, Edward!!!
It was actually 1 year ago today (around 3:00am) that I finished the 3rd book in the series, Eclipse, and it was a few days later when I realized I had finished the book on his fictional birthday. Sort of a nerdy thing to be happy about, but I'll take it. :)
Off to watch some Twilight and have some cake! :)
Here's the movie trailer in case you missed it:

One Year of Twilight
It has been a year tonight since I began reading Twilight (The Twilight Saga, Book 1). I bought the first book in the series a couple of weeks before, after joining Facebook and seeing tons of Twilight flair. So, I decided to see what the fuss was about and looked up the books. The story intrigued me. Thinking back, I had seen students reading the books the last couple of years, but had never been interested.
After I bought Twilight, I didn't read it for a couple of weeks. I'm not sure why, other than that sometimes I like to keep exciting/interesting books around to prolong the gratification. I decided, for some reason, that I was going to start reading it the night of Saturday, 14 June.
Of course, I woke up that morning with a bad headache that lingered all day. But, I was determined to begin it, so I did . . . and ended up reading until 3am, when I reluctantly made myself put the book down. I know exactly where I stopped.
I decided only to read the books at night, in order to drag out my joy. I was quite good about it Sunday. It was Father's Day and we went to see Prince Caspian at the movie theater. And I saw my first Twilight poster. Yay!!
That night I kept reading and again read until at least 3am. It was so hard to stop (sort of like how hard it is for Edward to resist Bella's blood).
Monday I was doing a ton of cleaning in my bedroom. My entire bed was covered, as was most of the floor. I worked, but my mind kept wandering to the book . . . which was sitting right there. And who was to say I couldn't sneak a chapter or two . . . except me.
So, I cleared a tiny spot on the floor next to my bed, squeezed down, and sped through a couple of chapters. Then put it down and got back to work.
I finished it that night. My first post about it is here.
And this is what I wrote after I read Twilight for the first time.
One song that makes an appearance is "Clair de Lune" by DeBussy. I had just been in a little "Atonement" phase and that song is on the soundtrack. After I read that part in the book I started playing it over and over and over and it became my Twilight song. It fits so perfectly. Now every time I hear it I feel all thos emotions again.
Tuesday I went to the story and bought the next two books, New Moon and Eclipse. I wasn't going to do any reading except at night, so I had to wait until I got home Tuesday evening to start New Moon. I ended up staying up really late that night and then threw my "only before bed" rule out the window. I read it as much as I could and finished it Wednesday night.
I began Eclipse and did the same and finished it at 4am the morning of 20 June, which just so happens to be Edward Cullen's birthday (haha). I was enthralled.
And one of my best friends began reading the books after she saw I was, so we were enthralled together.
This past year has been a Twilight year. The fourth book, Breaking Dawn, came out on 2 August 2008 and we had a Breaking Dawn Weekend.
Then in November the Twilight movie came out. Amazing. Another Twilight Weekend. And now New Moon has been filmed. It seems like years, but it has only been one.
I love it. So I'm going to read it again (again again) tonight. :)

I'm going to see Bobby Long!
I just bought tickets for Bobby Long's Seattle performance, at El Corazon, on August 10th! I am so excited I could scream and cry. He's marvelous and I feel so blessed that I can watch him perform live. I've read his live performances are amazing. You can get tickets at TicketsWest.com, just search Bobby Long in the Seattle area.
And don't forget to buy his first gorgeous single "Left to Lie" on iTunes! It is exquisite!

Bobby On "Left to Lie" and The Tour
Another great ITN video clip from their interview with Bobby Long, about his first single, "Left to Lie," now available on iTunes, and his upcoming trips to the US.
He sings some of "Left to Lie" on this one. He's so adorable.

Bobby Long's "Left to Lie" On iTunes!
My newest favorite singer is a 22-year-old Englishman named Bobby Long. He's got so much talent: he plays the guitar, he sings with his gorgeous whiskey-ish voice, and he writes lyrics that sound like John Keats, one of my favorite poets (especially "Being a Mockingbird.")
Last night his first single "Left to Lie" came out on iTunes! It is absolutely beautiful and makes me cry. I have been listening to it over and over and I still can't believe how simply gorgeous it is. I thought the version on his MySpace was perfect, but this one is even more amazing.
I really cannot recommend Bobby Long enough! Go listen to all his songs. I love each and every one, though when I am listening to one I always think "this is my favorite." Then I listen to the next one and think, "this one's my favorite!"
To top it all off, Bobby's coming on a US Tour this summer (as well as a couple of limited dates in April!). I can't wait to see him in Portland and Seattle. You can find all his tour dates, his songs, and more about Bobby here!
And, here's a video of one of Bobby's songs, "Sad Woman Blues."
And here he is singing "So Tear Me Up," which is no longer on his MySpace (sad!!). I love this song.
And posts from my fellow Land of Dreams Street Team Members,
And check out the new website: The Land of Dreamers, which is a fansite for Bobby Long, Marcus Foster, and Sam Bradley. Awesome!

Twilight out tonight!!!!
I'm so excited! Only a little bit of time left before Twilight (Two-Disc Special Edition) is out here! I've heard such good reviews of the dvd. Director Catherine Hardwicke really put a lot of Twilight-Love into it and I'm so thankful for that.
I really cannot wait for this! Though, actually, it hasn't been that long since it left the theaters and I think the dvd is really out rather quickly (and still super awesome, way to go Catherine!).
Lots more Twilight-y info here, including other new Twilight products coming out, the books, the people involved!

Edward & Bella-Closer
I came across this fan-made music video of (yes, of course) Edward and Bella from Twilight. It features a new favorite song of mine, "Closer", from the Kings of Leon and is so well done! I was amazed by it. Apparently the song is about a "lovesick vampire," so it works quite nicely. :)
The video is told from Edward's perspective. Beautifully done!!
