Seasonal Wreaths

Happy Monday! You're going to get sick of me, posting two days in a row! I hope you enjoyed our Stamping Symphony blog hop yesterday...I am constantly in awe of the talented people I get to call my friends!
This week I am turning my focus away from suites and toward a single stamp set that, I fear, may get missed in the Holiday Catalogue. The Seasonal Wreaths stamp set is SO versatile AND it coordinates with the All Around Wreath dies, which are part of the Toile Tidings Suite. The best thing about this stamp set is it makes those wreath dies truly multi-seasonal. Check out the images in the stamp set:

I had so much fun playing with this set! I'm kicking off the week with a fall-themed card because, well, it's fall (and I'm still in love with the Come To Gather DSP!).
Check this out...

Here, I stamped the wreath image in Versamark and heat embossed it in copper. Then I die-cut it using the All Around Wreath dies and coloured it using Stampin' Blends. I used Dark Pumpkin Pie, Light and Dark Cajun Craze, Dark Daffodil Delight, Dark Cherry Cobbler and Light Crumb Cake. I also used both Light and Dark Crumb Cake to colour the sweet little bird.

I added some little twigs from the All Around Wreath die and die-cut a banner from the Christmas Cardinal dies. The little bird is fussy cut and nestled in amongst some leaves die-cut using the Gathered Leaves dies. The sentiment, which is stamped in Early Espresso, is from the Seasonal Wreaths stamp set. The only embellishment is a little Cajun Craze Linen Thread double bow.

On the inside, I added a Whisper White panel on which I stamped the complete sentiment from the Seasonal Wreaths stamp set and another little bird, both in Early Espresso ink. I coloured the bird using the Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends combo pack.

I'll be demonstrating this card and two others using the Seasonal Wreaths stamp set in tomorrow's Tuesday Live @ Five video. I hope you'll join me over on Facebook, but if you can't you'll be able to catch the replay on my YouTube channel later in the week.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a fantastic week!

Season of Thanks and a Blog Hop

Happy Sunday! Are you surprised to hear from me today? I don't normally post on Sundays, but today is the 15th of the month, which means it is time for another Stamping Symphony Blog Hop!

This month we are featuring our favourites from the new Holiday Catalogue. My project uses some of my most-loved items...check it out:

It is no secret how much I love fall and the Come to Gather Suite is one of my absolute favourite fall suites ever. The patterns and colours in that gorgeous paper are perfect, not just for fall, but for almost any season. Here I have used two patterns from the Come to Gather DSP, as well as images from the Gather Together stamp set and paired them with the beautiful Frosted Frames dies. The beautiful die-cut frame is too pretty to use just for Christmas and winter! I die-cut the frame from Early Espresso card stock and then added springs and branches cut from fall colours. The result is a decidedly fall thank you card.

The pumpkins are stamped in Cajun Craze ink and then coloured using the Light Cajun Craze and Light Crumb Cake Blends. I love that the Cajun Craze Classic ink doesn't run with the alcohol markers! Discovering this pretty much made my day...it doesn't take much to make me happy ;)
The only embellishment on this card is a pretty double bow tied from Cajun Craze Linen Thread. With so many pretty images and die-cuts...it doesn't need anything more!

On the inside I added a Whisper White panel on which I stamped another sentiment from the Gather Together stamp set in Early Espresso ink. I also stamped and coloured another pumpkin, as I did on the front, as well as some wheat sheaves in Early Espresso ink, stamped off once.

I have to say, I am in no hurry to work on Christmas cards...I'm having too much fun with this gorgeous fall suite!  Be sure to hop on over to Sandy's blog and see what she's been up to...

Have a fabulous day and a great week.

Gather Together

Happy Monday! I hope you had a good weekend. Mine was crazy-busy...much like my week was last week. I don't know whose idea it was to launch the new Holiday Catalogue on the second day of the school year, but it sure made for a hectic few days! I am looking forward to a slightly quieter week this week ;)

With school well underway, it certainly feels like summer is over and fall is here. The leaves are starting to change here in Southern Ontario and the air is definitely cooler. This week's featured product is sure to put you in the mood for sweater weather! I am featuring the Come to Gather Suite from the new Holiday Catalogue...

I am absolutely smitten with this suite of gorgeous products! The Designer Paper is simply stunning and those leaf dies...positively perfect! Here is a project I put together using several products from this suite...

I drew my colour scheme from the beautiful DSP, using Crumb Cake, Mint Macaron, Pear Pizzazz and some Champagne Foil for added shine. The pumpkins are stamped in Pear Pizzazz and then coloured using the light Mint Macaron Blends. The marker blurred the stamped images a little, which I quite like the look of. I used the Stitched Nested Labels dies to die-but the sentiment label, stamping the sentiment from the Gather Together stamp set in Crumb Cake ink. I also added a few wheat sheaves, stamped off in Crumb Cake peeking out from behind the die-cut leaves.

Speaking of the leaves, I used the Gathered Leaves dies and discovered that the embossed pattern is much more pronounced when one first spritzes the card stock with water before running through the machine. These leaves were cut without spritzing first...a mistake I won't make again!
The beautiful lacy edge on my Crumb Cake panel was die-cut using the Delicate Lace dies.

On the inside of the card I added a Whisper White panel on which I stamped a sentiment from the Gather Together stamp set in Crumb Cake ink and a wheat sheaf in Mint Macaron, stamped off once.

I'll be demonstrating this card in this week's episode of Tuesday Live @ Five. All of the measurements and cutting dimensions will be included in the video description. I hope you'll join me live, but if you can't you'll be able to catch the replay on my Facebook Business page or on my YouTube Channel.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have a fantastic week!
