Shanghai, Here We Come : Day 1 The Departure Story

Hye All!

I've been meaning to tell you the story of our trip to Shanghai sooner. But as usual, the pictures got so stuck in the camera and also our phone till ive got the time to transfer the files to the laptop.

Now, after some editting, resizing and renaming the pictures, now im ready to share you our experience in Shanghai trip.

Let me start from the beginning.

We were supposed to get into 1:00 am flight on Early Saturday morning, but as soon as we were about to leave to Nilai from my office on friday, 15th September 2014, we've got a text from our tour leader, Zarra, telling us that our flight has been delayed to 5:00 am. Fuuhh, felt a bit relieved that weve got some time to get ready.

Once we arrived at my parents, Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, we freshen up and took our own sweet time to get ready. My husband even got time to join my brother-in-law played badminton at the KLIA court.

I did spend time with my two kiddos, telling them that both of us are going to Shanghai for work. and they did remember the place and even told their teachers that we went to Shanghai.

At around 2 am, we got ready, i slept about 2 hours, my father and my youngest sister dropped us off at the KLIA Main Terminal.

Now lets enjoy the moments captured in the KLIA airport until we reached Shanghai Airport.

Yeay, we have arrived after 5 hours journey.
Penat? Of course, but the excitement mengatasi segalanya.
Once we arrived, we went to the restroom, freshen up and get ready to go!!

We were brought for lunch since we arrived closed to 12 noon already. After lunch, we went to the Oriental Pearl Tower, highlights of Shanghai.

I'll tell story about the place in my next entry.

Shanghai, Here We Come : The Itinerary

Eh tak lama lagi dah nak ke Shanghai. Pejam celik, pejam celik, soon, another 10 days my third free trip with glampreneur and hai-o.

Oh, nak tahu kami ke mana nanti? check it out ;)

1. Oriental Pearl TV Tower

The Oriental Pearl TV Tower is located in Pudong Park in Lujiazui, Shanghai. This 468 meters (1,536 feet) high  tower is the world's sixth and China's second tallest TV and radio tower. Its base is supported by three seven-meter wide slanting stanchions. Surrounding the eleven steel spheres that are 'strung' vertically through the center of the tower are three nine-meter wide columns.

2. Huangpu River

Last time during the trip to Seoul, we managed to have a lunch cruise over the Han River.
Now, this time, night cruise pulak. seronoknyee!
The Huangpu River is the mother river of Shanghai. Huangpu River is a branch of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. It lies in Shanghai City, formerly known as Huangxiepu or Chunshen River.

3,  Silk Factory
Tak sah rasanya pergi ke China, tak visit silk factory. China is so synonym with Chinese silk.
Kali ni berpeluang nak tengok depan mata mcmn they produce silk. Rasanya confirm terbeli sepasang dua. lol!
Ada yang nak kirim ke?

4. Chenghuang Miao & Xiang Yang Market

Chenghuang miao is  known as The City God Temple, an area of temples that are reminiscent of old Shanghai.  Back then, every Chinese city had a designated Temple of the Town God which served as a shrine for Daoist worship.  The temple in Shanghai was named “Cheng Huang Miao” which was devoted to the god of commerce.

Xiang Yang Market is all about shopping!! This is where we should grab some souvenir to bring back home.

5. The Bund
The Bund, also called Zhongshan Dong Yi Lu (East Zhongshan 1st Road), is a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years.
The most famous and attractive sight which is at the west side of the Bund are the 26 various buildings of different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance.
You may view the Map of the Bund here

 6. Nanjing Road
Sekali tengok macam kat Times Square New York pulak. with all the billboards and center of the town.
Nanjing Road was the first commercial road in Shanghai. In the early 20th century, there were only four department stores along this stretch. Today, it has become the number one place for shopping in the city.
The eastern end of Nanjing Road is a pedestrian zone. Big names like Mont Blanc, Tiffany and Dunhill all have stores on Nanjing Road, but smaller stores do very well there too. Of the 600 plus businesses on Nanjing Road a majority are western, but the street is known for being on the cutting edge of upcoming trends so local designers do well there too.

Bila check balik the listing of places we're going to visit in Shanghai, rasa sangat excited! tak lama je lagi.. weee!
tak sabar nak berhoneymoon again with my husband. away from the stress at office and of course shopping!!

Wait for my updates in shanghai.

To those who wants souvenir, do let me know k?

See ya!

Airin
