Make any day a Sunny Day!

I love this all-occasion card - it just seems to happy to me!  Marilynn used one of the new clear sets from The Cat's Pajamas, then added texture to the sunflower with Black Fragments from Stampendous.  If you've never played with these before - don't miss this chance.  It's a totally different look from Flower Soft, but just as easy to apply.  Love it!  Stop in any time between 10 & 8 on Thursday and make this card for yourself!

Hooray for Bunnies!

I just love this image from The Cat's Pajamas. It makes me smile all over my face! Join us anytime Thursday between 10 and 8 to make this fabulous all-occasion card. There's a lot of detail - from the Memory Box die in the background, to the Kaiser Craft flower peeking out, to the dimensional pinwheel and the little dots of glitter glue that highlight the centers of the pinwheels! But the main attraction is the watercolor wash used to color the bunny and the background. So much fun in one little card!

Definitely - Stay Cool!

After a couple of absolutely stunning days, weather-wise, I fear we're headed back to hot, hot, hot days! So, this week's free make-and-take card is just perfect! It features one of the adorable penguin clear sets from Cat's Pajamas! (Thinking about a penguin needing a scuba mask and floaty is kind of hilarious, don't you think?) Plus, I love how Marilynn incorporated a swatch of canvas paper to simulate a beach towel. Clever girl! Stop in Thursday and make one for yourself. And, stay cool!

Too Cool for Summer!

Ahhh, the breeze blowing through your "hare" (I'm sorry - I just couldn't resist). Who wouldn't love to receive this adorable all-occasion card? Join us for our Free card make-and-take all day Thursday featuring this adorable stamp set from Cat's Pajamas. We'll practice coloring and shading with Copic markers. Plus, learn how to line up the Fiskar's border punch to make borders on the top and bottom of the pink card stock. It's easy, but there is a trick. See you there!

Spring Wishes

The Cat's Pajamas has long been one of our favorite stamp companies. Their cat, dog and penguin stamps are so cute! We were surprised and delighted with their brand new stamp release this spring featuring RABBITS! For Thursday's FREE card make-and-take, Marilynn used watercolor pencils and a Dove Blender pen. This is a wonderful alternative for folks who are sensitive to the smell of Gamsol. Because these images are so nice and open, it's easy to add shading and depth to the card. Stop in between 10-8 and give it a try yourself!

FREE card - No "fooling"!

We love, love, love stamps from the Cat's Pajamas. They are just so cute and stamp so beautifully. This card features their birthday set that you will want to use over and over (the phrases are hillarious). And doesn't it just make you smile to look at that cute little penguin? We've ordered their new sets that feature bunnies and other cute critters and hope to have them in the shop in the next couple of weeks. So, come and play - pajamas not required.
Oh - and I guess if you wanted to turn this card into something for April Fools, you could glue your pieces on so the card opens backwards or something.
Free card Thursday - from 10-8 - April 1.

First Birthday Card photo

What a great idea, Mahnaaz! I'll post one a day for the next few days (actually, I'll take a break on Wednesday to post the make and take card sample for Thursday). I received over 80 cards - wow - thank you so much! We have them all hanging up in the shop for your viewing pleasure, so feel free to come in with your camera and snap away! This first card features the brand new stamps we just received from Cat's Pajamas. I love the asymetrical side opening and the ribbon closure. Also, this is a nice use of shadow stamps. Very cool card!
