After fighting horrible traffic leaving Chicago, it was a relief to pull up in front of the Runner’s High & Tri store in Arlington Heights, IL.
We were greeted by the owner, Mark, along with his lovely wife and daughter. The atmosphere was incredibly friendly and comfortable, yet the store was plenty big and very attractive.
As you can guess by the title, this store had plenty of gear to suit your triathlon needs, essentially everything but the bike and pool.
What was most impressionable upon me was the sense of community and commitment to excellent service. During the short time that we were in the store, they had 2 packet pick-ups going on; one for a triathlon and another for a 5k. I got the feeling that they almost always have athletes coming in their store to talk about a race or to pick up their bib before the big day. One thing is for certain, if they pick up Endurasoak they will have plenty of hard working runners and triathletes who deserve a good soak.
