Joyous paper tree tutorial

Hello! It is that time again... Christmas time... December...  I don't know about you, but, cold and rainy weather makes me retreat to my craft corner to CREATE.  Here is an easy holiday craft to inspire you to get decorating!

 Check out your local Craft Warehouse and scoop up the following supplies:
1) small fabric pins
2) paper and accessory kit: My Mind's Eye: Joyous
3) glitter die cut pieces (advent tags): My Mind's Eye: Joyous
4) foam cone (about 9" tall)

Directions:
1) cut strips of paper about 6" long, taper strips: 1/2"inch wide on one end down to about 1/4" wide on the other end
2) roll up paper strip
3) push pin through layers of paper
4) randomly push rolled paper into cone
5) attach 'Merry Christmas 25' advent tag on to a pin or thin stick and push into top of cone

Kara wrote me a beautiful poem for mother's day. Its in the shape of a heart. I decided to create this shadow box filled with fun 'LYB' goodies and the poem. So sweet!

For Craft Warehouse, design team, project number 4 we were asked to use K and Co. Flora and Fauna paper and embellishments and Tim Holtz' configurations box (along with other goodies). This was my version of the home decor project. All the girls on my DT did such a GREAT JOB! It's amazing to see all the different creativity- different projects, using the same supplies.
