Happy weekend, friends!

There's a new sketch challenge up over on the Come On Get Crafty blog today.  Here's a look at the sketch...

I stuck very close to the sketch this month and used several pieces of wood veneer from the shop, which I colored using some orange spray ink I had in my stash.

You can play along with the sketch challenge this month and get a chance to win a $5 Gift Card to the COGC shop!  Just link up your layout using the sketch here by September 27th, 2014.  Good luck and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

*COGC* August Sketch Challenge

Hello!

There's a new sketch challenge up over on the Come On Get Crafty blog for August...

This month's sketch is fairly simple and straightforward, but it still leaves a lot of room for layering and embellishing.  Here's my take...

I stuck close to the sketch and scrapped some of my favorite fireworks photos from this past Fourth of July.

I misted on the background card stock and then added part of my title.  I stitched a few lines to mimic "fireworks" and layered the rest of my letter stickers and some sequins around the stitching.

All of the items I used for this layout are from the COGC shop.

To play along with the COGC sketch challenge this month and to get a chance to win a $5 Gift Card to the shop, see the full post here.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

April Sketch Challenge at Come On Get Crafty

Happy Saturday, friends!

It's time for another Come On Get Crafty Sketch Challenge...

Here's my take on the sketch...

I used some photos from my trip to the St. Louis Botanical Gardens from last spring since nothing has bloomed around here yet due to the long, drawn out winter we've had.

I used lots of spring-inspired embellishments from the Come On Get Crafty shop for my layout, including these adorable fabric frames from Maggie Holmes.

You can play along with the sketch challenge this month and get a chance to win a $5 gift card to the COGC shop.  Just link up your layout using the April sketch here by April 26th, 2014 and be sure and check out how the other creative team members used the sketch.

Good luck and I hope you play along with the sketch this month!  Have a great weekend :)

Snow Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone!

I created this layout for the March sketch challenge over on the Scrapbook Circle blog.  I used the March kit, Portabello Road, for this page and the Street Market Add-on.

I thought this would be one of the last times we would see snow this year, but boy was I wrong!  We actually got some snow yesterday after it had been 70 degrees on Saturday...crazy I tell ya!

I don't know how they stood the horrible temps...it stayed below twenty degrees that day and there was a layer of ice on top of everything as well.

I absolutely love the Crate Paper Boys Rule Plastic Alphas that are available in the Street Market Add-on.  It will be hard for me not to hoard those :)

Be sure and play along with this month's sketch and get a chance to win a $15 store credit from My Scraps and More!  You can find all of the details here.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

March Saturday Sketch Challenge

TGIF!

There's a new Saturday Sketch challenge over at the Come On Get Crafty blog...

And here's my take on the sketch...

My daughter was begging for me to take some pictures of her in a new spring outfit she had on one day when we still had a lot of snow on the ground.  She just couldn't wait to wear it!  And I couldn't resist because she's just so much fun to photograph!

I stuck fairly close to the design of the sketch, but added in extra layers to make it more of my own. I used a lot of Elle's Studio products on this layout that you can find in the COGC shop.

Head over to the COGC blog and check out how the other creative team members used the sketch and play along to get a chance to win a $5 Gift Card to the Come On Get Crafty shop!  Good luck and have a great day!

Happy Mail

Happy Monday!

There's a new sketch challenge for February on the Scrapbook Circle blog! Make sure to share your work using the sketch on the Scrapbook Circle Facebook Page or on the SBC blog in the comment section before Wednesday, February 19th. The players and one winner will be announced on the SBC blog on February 21, 2014.

Here's my take on the sketch...

I used February's kit, "Hello Today" for this layout and stuck close to the sketch, but added a few more layers of patterned paper behind my photo.

I used my Cameo to cut out the "Mail" sentiment for my title.  The gold foil paper cut like a dream!

Be sure and stop by the SBC blog to see what the other creative team members did with the sketch and play along to win a fabulous prize pack from American Crafts!

Have a great day and TFL!

Farm Girl

Happy Saturday, everyone!

It's time for another sketch challenge over on the Come On Get Crafty blog. You can play along with the sketch and get a chance to win a $5 gift card to the COGC shop (more details about that here).

Here's my take on the sketch...

My husband had these cute photos of our daughter on his phone (it's always a fun surprise to find great pics on there!) from when they went to play at my dad's shed for the afternoon.  She loves to climb on and investigate the equipment and even told us that she wanted to be a "farm girl" when she grew up!  Little does she know she already is one ;)

I stayed true to the sketch and used lots of goodies from the COGC shop for this layout.

Make sure you stop by the COGC blog and check out what the other creative members did with this sketch...they will BLOW you away!

Have a great weekend and TFL!

PageMaps & Gossamer Blue

Hello everyone!

This month several members of the Gossamer Blue design team got to work with some incredible sketches from PageMaps!  The sketches are always so inspiring and fun to work with and I was thrilled that I got a chance to play along.

Here's the sketch I was assigned to work with...

And here's my take on it...

I used February's kits from Gossamer Blue for this layout.  The kits are jam packed full of amazing papers, embellishments, and inspiration this month!

I stayed true to the sketch because I was really inspired by the design and it was a lot of fun to mix and match papers to create the "argyle effect" on the right side of my photo.

I used some of the Elle's Studio Lil' Snippets tags for the journaling on my page.  The "Such A Beautiful Day" sentiment is kind of meant to be sarcastic, lol!  The day I took this photo was the day we had a lot of snow and ice and I had spent most of it shoveling my way out of our driveway.

For even more inspiration and sketch ideas, head on over to the PageMaps site to check out the February sketches and to see what the Gossamer Blue design team members came up with using their sketches!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

COGC January Sketch

Hello and happy Saturday!  I have a layout that I created for the January Sketch Challenge over at the Come On Get Crafty blog to share with you today...

I stuck fairly close to the sketch, although I did move my journaling over to the right a bit.

I kept this layout fairly simple and minimal and I used a punch for the vellum snowflakes.

You can play along with the sketch and get a chance to win a $5 gift card to the COGC shop!  To find out how and to see how the COGC Creative Team used the sketch head on over to the COGC blog.

Good luck and have a great weekend!
