How to:
Before you start, cut along the spine of each page to separate the pages.
Front cover:
Cover the chipboard with patterned paper. Draw around the chipboard bracket shape and cut the chipboard page. Paint two brackets with black acrylic paint, allow to dry, and then glue one on the front cover. Cut shapes from Rusty Pickle paper and add to cover. Paint chipboard shapes with acrylic paint and glue to cover when dry. Finish by adding title.
Page 2 (Blue page)
Cover chipboard with blue cardstock. Add the second painted chipboard bracket. Dry brush acrylic paint in the centre of the page. When dry, add patterned paper strips and shapes cut from papers.
Page 3 (Green page)
Cover chipboard page with green cardstock. Place Heidi Swapp chipboard stars across the page and use as a mask to sponge acrylic paint onto cardstock. Draw around the inside of the bracket shape onto lined paper and add to page. Add patterned paper strips and shapes as desired. Colour in quote using Glimmer Mist as watercolour.
Page 4 (White page)
Cover chipboard page with white cardstock. Spray with Key Lime Pie and turquoise Glimmer mist. Draw around the mini monogram numbers onto white card, overlapping as you work. Colour around the outside of the monograms with coloured pencil and add to page. Add chipboard frame, slide mounts, patterned paper strips and shapes and title. Finish By using Glimmer Mist as water colour over title.
Page 5 (Black page)
Cover page with black cardstock. Dip an old paintbrush into acrylic paint and splatter over page, using three or more colours. Draw around monograms onto white card, overlapping as you work then add to page. Colour the inside of the monograms with coloured pencil. Add patterned paper strips and shapes. Colour in some of the patterned paper elements as required. Add page title.
Page 6 (Pink Page)
Cover the page with pink cardstock. Apply acrylic paint to bubble wrap and stamp onto cardstock. Add patterned paper strips and shapes. Add monograms drawn onto white card, cut out then coloured in with coloured pencils. Make a Christmas tree by using the arrow heads on the patterned paper, overlapping three together and adding a thin ‘trunk’. Colour in the dots and add Diamond Glaze to enhance and resemble baubles. Embellish as desired.
Finishing the book.
Bind the edges of the page. I used Making Memories adhesive tape dyed with alcohol inks (Very quick and effective to do). I also used thin strips of Bazzill to suit.
Punch a strip of scrap card with the Bind-it All. Use this strip as a template and mark the holes on the page edges. Punch the holes using the Big Bite. Align two pages together and bind with the Bind-It-All and wired. Align this with another page and thread embroidery floss through the holes to join together. Repeat as necessary until you have formed a concertina book.
Finish by adding ribbons to the wires and painted chipboard pieces threaded onto the spine as charms.

Zarah- Scrap Within Reach
This mini album is pretty self explainatory, mostly. Just cut up some nice cardboard pieces to overlap, going slightly bigger with every flap (or use an existing one). The Window on the first page adds interest.
I made a pocket for inserting one or two photos (with one facing inwards) using regular, no-fuss plastic overlays from my local book store.
Make sure your holes are evenly spaced and that the binder-rings you've chose goes through the holes with ease.
Cover all the pages with matching papers.
I've kept it rather simple this time, and instead of using a lot of different papers with every page, I just used one and I've also used the same kinds of decoration for all the pages, to keep it looking harmonious.
I also added an envelope that I dressed up in prettier papers (because I didn't want it to get to bulky with embellishments, I decided to "embellish" with papers instead) , and one of the 3d-accents works as a great way of keeping that flap closed. Not to mention it's pretty!... ;)
The only thing you need to keep in mind is to make sure you're getting the papers to line up properly. You'll have to cut them differently depending on which way you intend it to be flipped open. (Believe me, I forget things like that. Luckily - ribbons are a great cover up for holes facing in the wrong direction... *grins*)
Now, what I've done is that I've pre-made this album for someone I don't even know. It's gonna travel down to South Africa and pause at an orphanage, before it'll be assigned to one of the girls there - and follow her when she gets adopted. I have no idea where it'll end up, so I've written texts and titles in English.
Hope both you all, and the future owners, like it!
Here's the shoppinglist:
Chipboard album (you can make your own, or buy one similar to mine here or here for instance. Those two can both be trimmed into the "waterfall effect" I have on mine.)
Patterned paper, coordinated. Mine are all from Scrap Within Reach and the beautiful line "Afternoon Tea Collection"
Calendar stamp from American Crafts
White Bazzill (and some green for the leaves)
Wire words "celebrate" from Making Memories
Chipboard fruits/berries etc My house by American Crafts
Flowers from "Teacer's Bouquet" by Imaginisce
Laura Ashley Pop-up stickers
Other items:
Alphas: no-name foam alpha, faux alpha-stickers (just type the word you want and print it. I usually press space between every letter to make sure there's room around the letters) and cut them into squares. To make them pop some more, I drew an outline with a pen.
Buttons, staples, lace and ribbon from my drawers.
Brown ink for the edges. Two brown and one black pen.
Home made pins. (Regular sewing needles with some pearls on them. I always add a drop of glue to the tip to make sure no one gets stung!)

HOW TO
For the pages of the minibook: cut kraft cardstock 15 cm by 20 cm. Take the papers from a spiral bound notebook, adhere them on the cardstock and distress them with ink for the older effect. Do the same on the cover with the flocked camo paper.
For the subsurface with the Olivier's alphabet, I have used paper packaging from the alphabet stickers. It has a nice wood effect that you can recycle it. Punch holes along the edges and thread a rope through them.
Edit them further with old pieces of paper and die-cuts made with sponge. Letters are made by the cricut and finishing with the fineliner.
The pages are bound with a rope, so you get a tough look.

HOW TO
I used the same layout for each page.
I separated all the hearts in the album.
because my mini albums are bulky most of the time I figured the bind it all would give it a little more space
I traced all the hearts on the patterned paper
cut the hearts on 1/3 of the heart.. and matched the pages (the small part on the right page goes with the large part of the heart on the left page
I created borders with the fiscar border punch and filled the holes with dimensional pearls
I used bazzill stitch templates.. punched holes in the paper and traced it first with a black pen( galaxy marker) and then with a white sakura.
The hearts were traced with the Heidi Swapp Mirror's used as a template
I stamped a little image on the heart shaped mirror on the cover.

Rub on: Making Memories, Hambly Screen Prints
HOW TO
This is such a simple album, very quick to do. The main idea is to keep most of the transparency so all the pictures are adhered under one another on each side of the page. Just decorate all the pages with one or two rub ons: hambly's one are perfect because they are colored on both sides.

Clipboard- Creative Imaginations
Patterned papers- My Minds Eye (29th Market Street Fresh Brothers) - Playground stripe/ Sidewalk Chalk Paper and Vine Scroll/ Grass green paper
(Wild Asparagus “Brothers”) Polka dot/ Light blue paper and Stripe/ Orange paper.
Tags and transparencies - My Minds Eye
Big Bite
Acrylic paint, bubble wrap, ribbons, gems, mesh fabric, corrugated card, flat back pearls, craft wire, book rings and eyelets.
HOW TO
Cover the front of the clipboard then trim and ink the edges the edges
Cut four rectangles from the paper (reverse side) and arrange on the clipboard so they overlap each other. Mark the position of the book rings and cut appropriate holes in the clipboard and pages with the Big Bite. Set eyelets into the holes.
Make up ‘mini layouts’ on each page. I used cut and torn strips of patterned paper, corrugated card, ink, ribbons, gems, pearls, transparencies and tags. Use the same techniques on the clipboard.
*Tip* you can cut the tags to make smaller tags or even use the lettering to make new titles.
Assemble the pages and clip together on the clipboard with the book rings. I also used lined paper on the reverse of each page and added journaling. You can now add a stand to the back ( take one off an old photo frame), use an easel etc or add two more holes to the top and use thread to hang it on the wall.

The most difficult thing is to be cautionary as to where you place papers and embellishments on each side of your page. Don't forget that we can see everything you add on the other side since it is a clear album. You can use paint (like me) to hide some parts of your pages .
Distress papers and embellishments and add some glossy accents on details (flowers, hearts, birds, etc). Add glitter for added dimension.
You can add other sized pages or use CD!
Use 3D foam to adhere your journaling (written on strips of paper).
And finally take your 'bind-it-all machine' and bind your mini album.
