Chaos Reaver Titan Completed *Minor Update*

Finally, after 2 years of working on this model I've finally finished it. Now, I still have 3 weapon options I need to finish, make a banner, and possibly spray a varnish on the model, but otherwise, it is done. The Titan stands at 16 inches with the Apocalypse Missile launcher attached.

I have gone back and did a few touch up repairs where I could find imperfections, but I'm sure more will come up.

*I've now included the HD version of the video.*

Enjoy the photos and video of the Titan!

Until next time.

Titan Weapons: 66% Completed

Update time! :D

Well, managed to get two of the three primary weapons completed. I only have the Apocalypse Missile Launcher left to work on. Both the arm weapons below are magnetized. They are interchangeable, between each arm.

Enjoy the photos!

Weapons Primed!

Just a small update, I've gotten the main weapons I will be using with the Titan primed. Used the same method as before, applying a coat of matte varnish, followed by black primer.

All the weapon bits laid out below.

Now I can start painting these, until next time.

Enjoy!

Titan Body Complete

Finally! I can say I completed the body of the Titan. I can now move onto the weapons. I touched up some details here and there, but I'm sure there is something I need to touch up still, if anything I'll go over it later. The weapons that I want work on immediately is the Apocalypse Missile Launcher, Laser Blaster, and Melta Cannon.

Enjoy!

Big Update

Wow... I haven't worked this hard on a model for quite some time. I've managed to get a significant amount of work completed on the Titan.

All the photos below are parts of the upper torso, more specifically the internal guts and arm joints. Next update will include the remaining armor plates for the upper torso. Don't know how long it will take exactly, my guess is about the same amount as all these parts below.

After that's all done, I'll quickly go over the model to make sure there isn't any damage or missed spots, and then I'll start moving onto the weapons. I also plan on spraying the model down with a matte varnish, I don't normally do on my models, but I want to play it safe with this one.

Until next time... enjoy the pics!

Chaos Titan Legs. Part Three, The Reckoning...

So, what did I learn about gluing all those pieces for the inner lower leg areas. It's a pain in the butt.

I had two parts that did not want to fit together. Essentially, because of how both of the legs are bent as far as they are, I neglected to realize that I won't be able to fit the piston in with the guard piece. Issue occurred on the front most leg's rear piston guard and on the front piston guard on the other leg. In the end having to shave a lot of the piston was the only way to get it to actually fit, and even then it was very tight.

Next problem was with the toes, once again caused by how far the legs were bent. I had to use a mixture of pinning, green stuff, and super glue to get it all to fit together.

Needless to say it was a messy, frustrating ordeal. I also ended messing up some of the paint because of getting super glue on my fingers. After about 3 hours it was done, and I patched up all the areas I messed the paint up.

Front of the legs.

Back/Side view of the legs.

Rear of the front most leg. As you can see the back piston is very close to the toe. This caused me a lot of grief.

Enjoy!

Chaos Titan Legs, Part One of Many

Well, I was hoping to have an update last Saturday, but as it turns out, the inner leg parts took longer than expected. I've been doing a good solid 1 - 3 hours each day so far. I'm feeling really good about it and I'm excited to be on my way to completing this project.

Anyway, here they are for everyone to see. Enjoy! Comments are always welcome.

Painting

So I started painting the Titan. In the end I decided to go with the Red/Brass World Eaters color scheme. I did try the white first on a piece of the leg armor plate to see how it would look. Initially it seemed ok, but as I got further into it, adding some weathering/damage and blood splatter, it looked worse. After about staring at what I had painted for 30 seconds, I found myself going over the entire white with red gore. :|

Needless to say, it didn't work. The red ended up turning out much better.

Looking pretty good so far. :)

I have also begun work on the actual legs. So far I have just been doing a flat coat of Bolt gun metal on most of the inner legs.

As you may have noticed, some areas have a rough job done to them, but those areas I will be going over with another color, or I simply had no choice, because of how difficult it was to get the paint brush where it should have gone.

More to updates to follow!
