K.I. Press is a Winnipeg writer originally from Alberta. She also happens to have an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Ottawa. Karen is the author of three previous books of poetry, including Types of Canadian Women (Gaspereau), and her new book is Exquisite Monsters (Turnstone). She teaches creative writing at Red River College.
