Well everyone who following my blog. It has been long time I had my keyboard away from here. Not much to say here. Just share couple of photo here.

Below here I share awards that I recently received.

First is from The DXer's Magazine 59 Japan upon my participation in the JIDX (Japan International DX) Contest in 2012. Won 4th place in Oceania Zone and 1st place in East Malaysia.

For information in Amateur Radio term, the world was divided into several zones and continents which called ITU Zones, CQ Zones and Continents. East Malaysia( the state Sabah and Sarawak ) sits in Oceania Continent.

Next one is the award from ARRL(American Radio Relay League) upon my participation in the ARRL 10m band contest which was held in 2012. Every year ARRL will held such world grade contest for every ham radio operator round the world to put their operating skills into. Well I won the East Malaysian Zone at 1st place.

ELMER Award from ARRL

I am very honored today to be named as recipient of the ARRL Elmer award which was conferred by ARRL. Benjamin 9M2LMF was the one named me to ARRL for this award. Thank you.

ELMER = Many people start their involvement in amateur radio by finding a local club. Clubs often provide information about licensing, local operating practices, and technical advice. Newcomers also often study independently by purchasing books or other materials, sometimes with the help of a mentor, teacher, or friend. Established amateurs who help newcomers are often referred to as "Elmers",

International Amateur Radio Union(IARU) Region 3 Award.

Thank you very much to NZART(New Zealand Association of Radio Transmitters) for the conferring the IARU Region 3 Gold Award on behalf of IARU. This is the highest award I got so far since involved in Amateur Radio since year 2004.

Some information on IARU Regions.
IARU divided the world into 3 Regions which are IARU Region 1, 2 and 3. Every region have its own council to run the region's operations.

This is an award from ARRL (American Radio Relay League) for Amateur Radio Station also known as HAM radio to recognized the first contact done to serve as a reminder of when and where our radio hobby journey began. With this Award I set reminder on my first Morse Code also known as CW mode contact with 4S7DXG Ivan from Sri Langka. Thank you.

Trip to the Tip of Borneo

Had my frist trip to The Tip of Borneo(Kudat). Recorded down in my trip to this place is it rock formations that attracted my attention. Millions of years hit by the wind, I withness the effect today.

So happy today cause finally qsl card arrive from W6CCP Seymour Lesonsky(Anza, CA, USA) after had SSB contact with him in 20m band. I always follow his QSO on 20m band whenever I tuned in. He usually be on air round 14.600MHz till 14.800MHz SSB.

Ameritron AL811 three valves series recondition.

I am in the process of reconditioning the Ameritron AL811 Linear Amplifier. Some part of the amplifier have minor problem. The load Capacitor with touching plates readjusted and body work repaired, specially the base and back panel which dented inward during shipment when the owner before me purchased this amplifier. I took it and repair the whole thing.

BV100 Dual Mode Award From Amateur Radio Taipei.

BV100 Dual Mode award certificate finally here. BV100 is a special callsign(station) issued by NCC Taiwan to Amateur Radio Taipei in conjunction to the celebrations of Centennial of Republic Of China(Taiwan). Mode worked SSB and Morse Code. 73 de 9M6WST.

Venture into Amplifier age.

I am back in blog update. Now I am updating my blog with my ventures in Amplifier. Ameritron AL811 RF Amplifier. Still using the valves as it final stage to push up the power. The valves series for the Amplifier I am ventured in is AL811A.

SWL Report from DE6MSW(Marcel) German

Wow...this is just great. Once again my signal was picked up by DE6MSW(Marcel) from German. This time is the magic band of 10m. Just a good opening in 10m band now.
