When I saw these, I loved them! Cookies and Cups is a cutie pie fabulous blog!
She used Mentos, but another girl used Rolos!! How cute in the world!
I am totally thinking I might give these a whirl....Check out her blog...if you don't follow her...duh...you should!

Butcher Block and ORB
I have no idea where I saw this idea, about adding some life to my butcher block knife holder, however, I was feeling the need to spray paint sOmeThinG....anything....the other day....and this holder was the victim.
And, I am glad I did.
I emptied the knives out, and wiped it off real good, and got started. Yes, just me, and a can of ORB, and I was all set!
So, I gave it a good coat of ORB, and then, it still needed one more, so I did.
Yes, don't be jealous of my very creative painting try....it was cold outside, and the garage was the best option, well, that and a little help from an Abercrombie gift box :)

Anyways, after I sprayed the block, but while it was drying, I grabbed my handy dandy Making Memories Slice, and I cut a cute little "S" with the Sock Hop design card.
I cut it with white vinyl. And, I like it.
So, as soon as the block was dry, I added the vinyl.....and Tada!!! I love it!
And, it looks GREAT in my kitchen, next to my massive Starbucks cup, of course!

Personalized Pumpkins
I saw something similar to this last year, I think in Better Homes and Gardens (I am really not sure)...but it was way too close to Halloween...so, I thought I'd wait until this year came around!
And, whadda ya know...it did!
So, I went to Michael's and bought this pretty Antique White pumpkin (styrofoam or something like that!).....of course, for 40% off.
I gathered my supplies. I chose to use black paint (you could easily do this if you have a big ole die cutting machine..but I don't...so paint it is!)
I first printed the letter that I wanted.....I actually printed it at a 700 font. Then, cut it out.
I placed it on my pumpkin, and used some removable adhesive in just a few spots, to keep it steady.

Then, I traced it with a sharpie. Yes, I am very high-tech!
Yes, those are my toes, I am painting...sitting on the floor...and taking pics at the same time...forgive me :)

After tracing it, I filled it in with black paint. Two coats, please!
Almost done!
Then, I covered my painted area generously with Martha Stewart Craft Glue. I love this stuff, because it is so thick and creamy, but dries perfectly clear!
I sprinkled it with the Crystals! I almost did glitter, but I wanted it to kind of have a "matte-bling" look to it!
And, then....I set it up...amongst those plain-jane-orange ones! I love it!
Welcome Fall!!!

Let them eat Cake!
Just an ordinary Cake Taker...I know! (from the dreaded WM)
Well, we are in the midst of BABY-AND-WEDDING-SHOWER-ME-TO-DEATH mode, and remember me...I don't have a job! But, I do love all of these people, and I don't want to do "nothing" for them, but I can't break the bank....so I thought I would put all of my craft-hoarding to good use!
So, I gathered all of my supplies and got busy. First, I chose the letter...of the young brides new Last Name! Yeah! I remember how excited I was when I was FINALLY Mrs. Smith!
Then, after I cut the "M", I cut out some circles, 2 inch, 2 1/2 inch, and 3 inch, in both colors. And, started applying!
Oh, I love how this turned out! All of this for only $6! And you can bet...this will NOT be the last one I make!!

Thing 1, Thing 2, cupcakes for you!
First off, let me tell you this is NOT my intellectual property! My mom's friend Denise sent me a picture of some of these little cuties that she made for her child's class!!!
But, regardless, I will claim this as my ever-so-cute-I-am-the-best-mom-in-the-world creation!!!
So, so, crazy easy to make!
Chap insisted that we make these using Red Velvet Cake. (interjection) I am sad to say that I am 34 years old, and JUST THIS YEAR realized that Red Velvet Cake is just chocolate cake...turned red! duh! That's why I love it so much!
I digress!
So, bake the cake according to directions. Top with white icing. I used solid red cupcake papers.
I took a sheet of scrapbook paper (actually a sheet I did not like, and used the back!). Then I just stamped the words Thing 1 and Thing 2....made a circle and cut them out!
I am sure some of you techies could make a pdf file, and if you do...will you send it to me!
Anyways, then, I just hot glued the Thing 1 & 2 circles onto the paper. (sure wish I already had these HOT GLUE HELPERS!)
Top with some wild sprouts of blue cotton candy...and tada!!!
Now, look at all of these cute THINGS waiting for their hair...I will add the hair just before taking them to his class. If I add it now, it will all shrivel up...ask me how I know?!
So, how cute are they!!!
I will make them again,
I will make them, times 10.
I will make them from a box.
I will make their hair blue locks.
I will make them, yes indeed.
I will make them...kids to feed :)

The busy-ness of it all!
***NOTE: VERY PIC HEAVY POST***
Well, this time of year, seems to be busy, busy, busy! But, on the other hand, it seems that we spend alot more time with family and friends. I like it!
We have had people "just drop in"more than usual, and have spent more time, just here, hanging out, and I like it!
I baked a LOT this year! Well, not really "baked", but just made some yummies! And, yes, the boys LOVED giving them out to all of their teachers, helpers, janitors, you name it!
The egg nog? Well, the minute I see it hit the shelves, we start buying it, well, we drink it a little, but I mostly use it for Egg Nog French Toast! And, let me tell you, it is so yummy! So, I make it until the Egg Nog disappears from the stores, and then we wait until next year!
And, finally, Merry Christmas from us to you!
