FREE "I Pick" Reading Strategy Poster Set

Recently I was really inspired by the I PICK acronym to help students select "Good Fit" books:
I - I Choose a Book
P - Purpose (Why do I want to read it?)
I - Interest (Does it interest me?)
C - Comprehend (Do I understand what I'm reading?)
K - Know (Do I know most of the words?)

So I created this power point / poster set for our bulletin board.  I added some animal print touches to match my safari classroom theme, but if you decide to download it I've left it in Power Point format so you can adjust it anyway you like.  :-)
Just click on the picture above to head over to my blog to check it out!

End of the Year Activities

I have been searching around for great end of the year activities, and I will be using both of these within the next week.  One of them is a cute Bulletin Board idea "Flying into the end of the year!" where the kids make dragonflies.  I have also already set up cute little seed packets for the kiddos as an end of the year gift (with plenty of other goodies of course!)

Check out both of these freebies here on Love to Teach :)
