'Love' By Elisa Ablett for D-lish Scraps

Hi everyone, 

Im up on the Dlish blog today with my latest layout and blog post.

 The idea for this layout started with the most gorgeous watercolour flowers from the store - Little-Birdie---Watercolour-Heather---Blue and distress stains. I wanted a lovely soft and feminine background that ties in with the colours in my photo and I wanted to use watercolours to achieve that soft look. I grabbed my trusty distress stains in Broken China and Abandoned Coral which matched my photo perfectly and they happened to match the flowers as well, winning!!

I used the stains to hand colour my tag and white leaves, they are from a past Just Add Paper kit.

I also used the stains in my background by applying water to the page directly and then adding splats of the stains. Once dry I used a D-lish Scraps 5 x 5 Stencil along with a white gel pen to trace flowers in white over the top of my background in a wreath design.

Here are some close ups of the embellishment clusters !

In the above cluster I used Little-Birdie-Flowers in Heather, flowers, glitter heart, leaves, resin flowers, pearls, journal spots and tag from recent Just-Add-Paper-Kits. Plus a lovely pink  suede tassel and a lovely butterfly flair button.

In the top cluster you can see the messy circle creative cut frame, pink mini bow, pink suede tassel, pink/white twine and an awesome die cut tag from a  past Just-Add-Paper-Kits.

On the right side of the layout you can see the White leaves which i hand coloured with the distress stains, also you can see the tiny pink pearls  and journal pieces which came with a sweet past Just Add paper kit which matched perfectly, i placed around the circle to create a frame!

'Spread your wings and fly' by Elisa Ablett

 Hi Everyone,

Elisa here from the design team for D-lish Scraps with my latest layout showcasing the gorgeous range of goodies from the D-lish Scraps store.

I was lucky enough to win a Lindy's Stamp Gang Challenge recently and was sent a prize which included some gorgeous blues and copper colours in the lovely starburst, flat fabio and moonshot sprays, so thats where my inspiration came from. So I scoured through my extensive D-lish stash to find all things blue and copper to go with my colour scheme.

I love all things bohemian and dream catchers so I decided to make my own dream catcher with all the lovely feathers from the store. 

Let's take a look at the finer details of the layout in the close ups below !

Here is a close up of some lovely copper modelling paste through the Stencil---5-x-5---Pattern-Quartet with a palette knife, creating some lovely copper bling and texture on the background.

Some more of the stencilling on the right hand side along with the wood veneer title - Wood Veneer Alphas.

The dream catcher is made using the gorgeous Copper Coloured-Wire, Kinder Kreations Chipboard - Feathers, Butterfly Die-Cut-Embellishments, Flair (Past 'Just Add Paper' Kit), Blue Paint-Chip-Tabs.

The feathers were made by spraying in layers, blue spray on the bottom and copper at the ends, then a little bit of copper glitter paste on the bottom of the Chipboard feathers. Wrap the wire around to create your circle for the dream catcher and staple to your page. Then add your feathers and the 'strings' of wire to your feathers. Add some blue cotton to the mix and your centre piece.

I added some background stamping using Carabelle Studios stamps and Fiona Paltridge's stamps from Aall and Create to the background to add depth before I glued my embellishments down.

And you have a finished layout.

'Cool' by Elisa Ablett - D-lish Scraps

Hi Everyone, 

Elisa here from the design team for D-lish Scraps again with my first share for August on their blog - a grungy mixed media layout.

Before we start I wanted to share the link for all the new products in store - New Arrivals and Restocks Section - there are gorgeous new doilies, glitter dots, enamel dots, sequin butterflies and flowers. I'll be back i'm heading over to look as well.....👌😂

Now we are all back again after our trip to check out the new goodies in store, i better show you my layout.... !!! 

Here is my layout which features lots of yummies from the store including;

The background was completed by using a combination of Distress Stains, Tinby Designs Colour Crush Powders, stamps and black modelling paste smoothed through the Alpha Stencil. I also used a layering of a die cut from Kaisercraft, black hessian and a Yellow-Diagonal-Stripe-Bitty-Bag from the past 'Sunny Daze' JAP Kit plus other assorted Past kits - bits and pieces.

In this cluster above you can see the assorted bits and pieces from past Just Add Paper Kits including the flair, journal spot, cardfetti, pearl cabochons, arrow, library card.

In this cluster above you can see the awesome Puffy Black Alphabet Stickers and how you can add your title to your layers.

Love those bright striped Bitty Bags, great for layering and co-ordinating your layout.

'Beautiful' by Elisa Ablett

Hi D-lish lovers,

Im up on the D-lish Blog again with another mixed media layout! Here is the post below - 

Elisa here from the design team with my latest layout for D-lish Scraps, a mixed media layout chock full of gorgeous D-lish goodies.

My background was created with thick Mixed Media cardstock (a must), Candy and Paris Colour Blast Shimmer Dusts and a 'Pear Tart' Irresistible Spray and some stamping using Prima Ink and Layer stamps plus stamps from Aall and Create.

Let's take a look at the D-lish goodies on the layout!

In the main cluster on the page I layered Red Cabbage Roses, Washi Tape, Red Sequin Heart, a journal strip from the latest 'Just Add Paper' Kit - Primrose-Lane, Creative-Cuts - Roses, lime green gauze and lime green flowers from a previous Just-Add-Paper-Kit , and a chipboard film strip. I also embossed a Kinder-Kreations - Beautiful Chipboard Title in white to match my page.

In this second cluster there I feature the gorgeous Rose Creative Cuts, 'Just Add Paper' Primrose Lane Red Cabbage Roses, Washi tape, Journal Spot and Red Flair Button. Plus a little more of that lovely lime green gauze. 

On both my clusters I have added some plastic green 'look a like' leaves I had in my stash, I picked them up from an op-shop a long time ago and never used them.

The lovely Creative cuts look fantastic against the coloured background ! They are so versatile, you can colour them or leave them plain.

'Enjoy the Little Things' by Elisa Ablett

Hi everyone,

Just sharing my latest layout and blog post for D-lish Scraps.

I just loved the new Kinder Kreations chipboard feathers and the new numbers stencil and wanted to incorporate both on my project, I have also rediscovered a foiling dip dye technique to use on my feathers.

TIP - Try an unusual combination of colours on your layout, teal, raspberry, kraft and black and white go together beautifully....with a splash of yellow gold!

Here are some close ups of the finer details! To achieve the foiled dip dye look on your feathers, I inked the bottom half of my feathers with black ink. Then i used a bostik glue stick and rubbed glue on the bottom half of the feather, then I pressed gold flakes onto the glue, I then gently heated with my heat gun or let dry naturally. Then once dry using a stiff brush - brush away the gold foil gently. It will leave the foil distressed and patchy on your feathers. I also added some wire around the tips of the feathers to add to the grunge!

Also on this layout I added a few pieces from a past 'Just Add Paper Kit'  - A black and white bag and paperclip along with some co-ordinating washi tape.

To make a statement on your page, add a splash of bright coloured paint and stencil in black over the top! D-lish Scraps store is stocked full of amazing 5x5 stencils in different designs.

'BeYOUtiful' by Elisa Ablett for Dlish Scraps

Hi everyone,

Elisa here from the Design Team for Dlish Scraps with another mixed media inspired layout created with the amazing products from the D-lish Scraps store.

A vibrant mixed media layout using bits and pieces from a past 'Just Add Paper Kit' including a lime green Paper-Doily, green and purple Bitty Blooms, gorgeous Lily and awesome Wood Veneers.

Don't forget that you can head to the Past Kits & Bits section for extra goodies for your layouts.

I wanted to create a different approach to the 'Wreath' design that you have been seeing on some of the scrapbooking layouts recently.

Let's have a look at the finer details !

In the above photo you can see that I utilised the Hibiscus Duo Stencil in a slightly different way by tracing the inside of the stencil with a permanent black marker over the top of the water colour background. I used gorgeous Daler-Rowney Acrylic Inks to create the shimmery coloured background.

A little bit of green gauze, Sequins, vellum bag and journal its and minifetti and flowers to layer under and around your photo.

Another quick look at the main embellishment cluster and we have finished!
