The Year Is Now 2K8.

While writing a comment on a friend's blog post, I decided I'll post it up over here too:

With an 8 in its name, 2008 is a time to prosper.
*Chinese thinking.*

With an 8 in its name, 2008 is a time to have infinite happiness.
*I just randomly thought of it, since 8 is the infinity sign standing on its side.*

With an 8 in its name, 2008 is a time to be full with enough to eat.
*Cos 8 sounds like ate.*

With 2008, be prosperous, be happy and don't skimp on food!

Have a wonderful year ahead.

Cheers and good luck.

Say what you need to say.

Been watching a few movies these couple of days. Some funny, some gripping, some thrilling, but best of all, some meaningful. Watched I Am Legend, Death Sentence, Balls of Fury and the meaningful movie, The Bucket List.

I know I say this many times before but I'll say it again, if there is 1 movie that you can watch, watch The Bucket List.

Take a break from hectic life, take a breather.
Take a look at life. Find the joy in life.

Let me take this time to write down the poems that I've been meaning to post up a long time now.

"When life gets you down,
Your spirit is unwavering,
When challenges makes us frown,
Your strengths keep u going."

-Kwan Wen Ching, 2007.

"Beautiful with a hint of mystery,
A mischievous look,
Makes people wonder what you took,
You took my heart of course,
Stole it away.

Oh beautiful girl,
How you captivate me,
With a great personality,
Smile so sweetly."
-Kwan Wen Ching, 2007.

"You are a supermodel,
There's no one as beautiful,
Too hot to handle,
There's no one as wonderful."
-Kwan Wen Ching, 2007.

"Good night,
Sleep tight,
With heaven's might,
And angel's light,
Has model-like height,
Most beautiful sight."
-Kwan Wen Ching, 2007.

"Night till morn,
Midnight till dawn,
Thinking of you,
Round the clock.

No matter the time,
Or poetry rhyme,
Beautiful girl,
You're on my mind.

Morn till night,
Good morn good night."
-Kwan Wen Ching, 2007.

"The sun is down,
The land is dark,
What lights my world,
Is you my girl."
-Kwan Wen Ching, 2007.

"Cold cold night,
Tucked under the blanket,
Savouring its warmth,
Favouring your warmth."
-Kwan Wen Ching, 2007.

"In the morning,
Late at night,
Haven't seen a moon so bright,
Leaves turn autumn yellow,
Rest on a soft warm pillow,
Now that it's nearing noon,
Time to eat, fork and spoon."
-Kwan Wen Ching, 2007.

"On dim days,
And dark skies,
You brighten my days,
With your beautiful eyes.

To see your perfect smile,
I would walk one thousand miles,
I love my lady,
Forever and infinity."
-Kwan Wen Ching, 2007.

"Through the cold biting winds,
You're the one who keeps me warm,
Through the swirling blizzard snow,
You're the one who weathers the storm,
Through the foggy winter sky,
You're the one who makes it clear."
-Kwan Wen Ching, 2007.

To round things up, listen to the song taken from that movie:

Hope we all had wonderful moments in 2007.
I did.
Year 2008 is around the corner.
May we all fulfill our Bucket Lists.

MIFC = jam nightmare.

Heard from my sis today who went there to try to join in the crowd at the Malaysia International Fireworks Competition in Putrajaya. As predicted by me, it will be jammed like ppl love to get stuck in jams. My sis was stuck in a 3 hour jam and could only watch the fireworks in the car. 2nd sad thing is the fireworks display only lasted for 20mins... max. Pity those who paid good money for tix and all they had were jams and premature displays of fireworks. Hopefully other teams put on a better show.

Ice Ice Baby...

Due to an unforeseen circumstance, it'll take me longer than usual to post up tales of my Vietnam trip.
Reason being, i have to wear this for several weeks till the inflammation from a sprain I sustained subsides:

Robocop??

Makes me look like a serious bowler.

As a teaser and precursor to next month's 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' film, actors Daniel Radcliffe and Katie Leung, during a photo call for the movie:

[L.P.]

Me have been enjoying the past couple of days listening to the latest Linkin Park album, Minutes to Midnight. Got this as a birthday present from my baby. Thanks so much baby, you're simply the best!

CD case front.

CD case in all it's glory.

Clockwise from top: CD case opened up, album CD and booklet cover.

Centre page of the CD booklet. (CD playing in the background)

Do check out this album. It's a refreshing new direction taken by the band. Definitely worth the wait. *and together with my baby, it's all the more sweeter.* ;-)

P.S.: It comes with a free poster as well. (While stocks last.)
