Recipe Challenge at Creative Knockouts

A recipe challenge, how fun is that!! This should get your creative juices flowing quite nicely.  Our Creative Knockouts recipe is:
  • 1 image
  • 1 sentiment
  • 2 different patterned papers
  • 3 embellies (all 3 the same or all 3 different)

Our sponsor for this challenge is Jan's Digi Stamps and the winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to spend in her store!

The image I used is part of the Glasses Collection.  This collection includes 1 color drawing (PNG), 6 black and white drawings (PNG) and 3 sentiments (PNG).

For both of these cards I used my heart die cuts and did some layering with the hearts and 2 patterned papers.  For the embellies, the top card used 3 silver brads and the bottom card, 3 buttons.

Time for you to have some fun, I look forward to seeing your creations!

Prize: $10 gift certificate

Love is in the Air at Creative Knockouts

Love is in the Air Challenge #285

February is definitely the month when Love is in the Air so this week
at Creative Knockouts we want you to show us the love. 💘

You will have until February 20th to link up your creation for a chance to win an amazing prize of THREE digis of your choice from The Paper Shelter.

This adorable image from the Paper Shelter is Jurrasic Love.  This image brings a smile to my face and I had a lot of fun coloring with my Copic markers.  These lovable dinos remind me of those years long ago when my boys had all shapes and sizes of dinosaurs (I also remember the pain of stepping on many of them!)

I hope you have as much fun creating your "love" as I did!  Happy Valentine's Day!

Prize:  3 images

Happy Valentine's Day at Digi Haven!

What the ... Friday is already  here ... how is that possible?!  I set up this post with the picture only and completely forgot it was going live today .. you can imagine my surprise when I opened my Blog!

Well, it's time for a new challenge at Digi Haven, "Happy Valentine's Day" is the theme for the next two weeks!  Our sponsor for this challenge is A Day for Daisies and they are giving the winner a $12 gift certificate to their fab store!

This image is called Love Tart by A Day for Daisies and the sentiment was a freebie from somewhere in blogland.  I used my Copic markers to color the image and added some red stickles to the hearts on the sentiment.  I used my hearts embossing folder, not to self, cut the circles out first then use the embossing folder.  The metal hearts are some jems I got from my iRock tool.

Make sure you stop on over at Digi Haven to check out the fab creations from our talented design team!

I made these tags last night, quick and simple, no embellies or bling and they are still so darn cute!
The adorable "Bunny Loves You" is a freebie over at A Day for Daisies.
"Heart on a Wire" is from Fairy Dust Crafts and the bingo card was one of the freebie links that was posted on the Free Digital Stamp Blog.
The too cute "Love Heart Owl" is from Pink Gem Designs.
Enjoy your day!

Valentine's Day at Cards for Men

It's Challenge time over at Cards for Men and Challenge#4 is all about 'Valentine's Day / Love'. You will have until February 26th to link up your creation for a chance to win 3 digi images of your choice from our sponsor Fresh Brewed Designs!
Hi. I am Heather Dennis. I am a homeschooling mother of 2 wonderful children, the wife of 12 years to the love of my life, a Christian and the owner of Fresh Brewed Designs. I have loved to draw and create ever since I was a child. My daughter has inherited my love of art and recently inspired me to start creating again.
All the images in my shop are hand drawn. I offer a wide range of images from coffee, cute and inspirational. I also love to create custom drawn images, so if you are looking for anything in particular, please feel free to drop me an email.
For my card I chose Dipped Strawberry. I copied the image twice and flipped one over to make a pair.
On this card, I used copper embossing powder for the milk chocolate and clear embossing powder on the other for white chocolate.
This was actually my first card but I got kinda carried away before I realized it was a bit too feminine for Cards for Men! I colored the milk chocolate section with Copics then used Glossy Accents. For the white chocolate dip, I used Liquid Applique.
