My little soldier - Mixed media layout tutorial

My little boy loves to play soldiers. He is running up and dow in full combat ornament in summer and winter. Having a trip with a tank at lake Balaton seemed to be a unmissable adventure. This is what my site is about.

Hello Friends....

For today's 13arts project I started with a piece of resist canvas that I colored with Sky Blue and Turquoise Rainbow Duo colors. I just played and enjoyed watching the  color pigments act with the adding of more water and pushing it around with a paintbrush. 

I then decided to use the piece of canvas on this project. I used the A4 Vintage Summer Leaves paper as background and layered several others under the image from the Hope you are well paper sheet. I used a Dusty Attic Frame that I firstly painted with Americano Vivid Vintage Paint, randomly embossed with Stampendeous Aged Teal Embossing Enamel and aged further with Rusty Bronze Rust effect Powder activating the Rust with new 13@rts Rust Reagent...This product will only be available with the next release but believe me it is going to be a winner!!!! I got awesome rust effects without the smell of the usual vinegar one has to use!

I used Black and Light Gold Mika Flakes and Burgundy Dried Acorn seeds for decorations. My title sticker comes from the Aqua Flora Sticker sheet. The skeleton leaves are from my own stash but I linked to similar leaves in the 13arts shop.

Little Birdies by Szandra Szántó-Brezanóczy

Hi Friends!

I brought you a colorful spring home decor, because Spring is coming soon :)

The idea came from my children, who have lovely and colorful personalities.

Oh, my sweet little birdies.

At first i used white gesso and then i painted the sides with watercolors mixed with a lot of water.

I used Color Glow on the roof to achieve a shine effect like in Spring when the sun is shining.

The Metallic! paint help me to highlights the chipboard tags.

I chose all of my favorite decor elements which i always use on my the layouts:

stencils, modeling paste, crackle paste, stamps, mica flakes, flowers, sizzix die cuts, 

splash ink and stickers.

Mixed Media Fairy House with a video tutorial by Monika

Witajcie! Przygotowałam dla Was specjalny projekt altered art z mnóstwem detali.  Zrobiłam leśny domek rodem z krainy wróżek. Dodatkowo powstał film video z procesu tworzenia. Bazą był domek-półka naklejony na plastry drewna. Jeśli jesteście ciekawi jak wyglądał proces tworzenia od kuchni, to zapraszam Was do obejrzenia filmu :)

Hello! I have prepared for you a special altered art project with lots of details. I made a forest house straight from the land of fairies. In addition, a I made a video tutorial with the making process. The base was a house shaped shelf on the slices of wood. Grzybki zrobiłam własnoręcznie z masy plastycznej Fimo Air. Jestem z nich bardzo zadowolona bo wyszły jak prawdziwe. Mech imituje zielony chrobotek. 

I made the mushrooms myself with Fimo Air plastic. I am very happy with them because they came out as real. Reindeer moss imitates the undergrowth.

His and Her Cards by Fiona

Hello beautiful 13Arts friends. Fiona here with you today to share a couple of quick little cards I made using the gorgeous His and hers collection designed by the very talented Olga Heldwein.

Using the A6 cards as my base, I added some Light Gold Mika Flakes with the Multi Purpose medium to create interest in my background.

Then i layered my embellishments to create a feature on each of the cards. This little pair was so easy to make as the A6 Card base gave me a great starting point!

Adding a little clock and a chipboard butterfly finished them off perfectly.
