Hi there!
Kelly here. I have two colorful layouts this month...both very bright and both quite different, I think.

"Playful"

I had a lot of fun with the background on this one...as usual, it is a process of layering techniques...starting with 13 Arts Gesso through a raindrop stencil, followed by layers of the 13 Arts Water Paints in Pistachio, Turquoise, and Lemon...I sprayed it all with water and let the drips go.
After that was dry, I added splotches of the Yellow Water Ink, and sprayed that with water and allowed it to go where it wanted...it blended with the other paints nicely making gorgeous shades of green here and there.
I followed that with another stencil, with the Modeling Paste..followed by stamping, then layering bits of papers (Faces of Spring) and plenty of flowers and little things.

Next, something a bit more "girly."

"Joy"

I started with the Frosted Life "Moon Dust" paper, then layered scraps of papers and canvas on the background. Atop that, lots of layers of 13 Arts Gesso, Water Paint, and a watered down version of the Pink Pearl Mist. I just keep building up layers of mediums until I get the coloring that I want. I did a little stamping with the Matte Turquoise Water Paint to contrast.
After everything was dry, I went in with a black pen and gave definition to the layers, and also did a bit of tearing in the background for more texture.

As the new team will be starting up very soon, I'd like to take a  minute to say a big "THANK YOU!!!!" to Aida for having me on this wonderful team. I have had a wonderful time working with 13 Arts' fabulous products..this has been an amazing opportunity :) :) :) Thanks again!!!
Have a great day!!

A Canvas and a Layout - August inspirations by Kelly

Hello there! Kelly here.
I have a couple of projects to share...

"Heart Canvas"

I very much enjoyed creating this canvas...I am in love with the new Water Paints..and I have used Matte Pink and Mtte Turquoise, in combination with some of the beautiful Chalk Mists.

For the base of my canvas, I tore strips from a couple of the All Is Love collection papers.

"What  A Beautiful Day"

I loved creating with the earthy colors of the Faces Of Spring Collection. I created my background by stamping with circular objects, with Ayeeda Pearl Mist in Brown, Gesso and Gel Medium. I applied the Ayeeda Gel Medium to the background, then scattered small chipboard squares, sequins, and small glass pieces, a top which I added the Water ink in Yellow.

2 Layouts - Inspiration of July with Kelly Foster

Hi everyone, Kelly here. I hope you are all having a great day today, thank you for stopping in!
I have two layouts to share this month.
First up is a page completely inspired by my photo...

"Be Free"

I decided to "divide" the layout as my photo is, with "water" along the top and "rocks" along the bottom. I started out with the Faces of Spring "Hair In The Wind" paper, perfect backdrop for this type of photo. I slathered on some Ayeeda Gesso, and over that some of the Water inks. I added a strip of torn corrugated cardboard, and atop that a strip of the "Strong Feelings" paper. I did some stenciling and then sprayed generously with the Pearl Brown Mist.

I added in a few bits from the Faces of Spring embellishment kit..the glass pieces and the beads, along with some pretty white roses, decorative twigs, and more.

"I Love You"

This next one, I went back to the All Is Love collection, for some pretty girly colors. I created my own mist in an empty spray bottle, using a bit of the Sky Blue Water Ink, along with a bit of the Green Pearl Mist to make that light teal color. I have also watered down some pink ink to make a light pink spray to suit my lighter colored pages.

The masking was done with Ayeeda Modeling Paste, outlined in pen, and in some areas I sponged on some watered down gesso to mute the background a bit so as not to distract too much from my adorable photo.
